Visions of Unseen Light
I had closed my eyes, hoping I’d catch a glimpse of your face. That canvas was black however, and I felt shaken awake with disappointment. Then, as clear as a starry sky, I heard the hushed tones of your voice, calling me into your dreamland. Colors unknown to the human mind and eyes formed into you. You, who I regarded as a truly magickal being.
“Rare as a unicorn,” whispered the bells in my voice.
From an echo on the air, I heard your reply, “Rarer still is the heart, mind, and soul that resides within you…”
A manifestation of the purest elements, you stood before me in all of your glory. The sun above cast a shimmering golden light on your every part, transforming you into some great golden god before my eyes. The intense heat your body displayed towards me destroyed any hopes of my barriers staying safely intact.
I held out my hand to caress the golden skin, yet fear held me away, as I did not want to taint the perfect form before me. As it were, you reached out to gather me into a warm embrace. I felt the Spring then, and the sweet scents of a new season danced all around me.
I glanced up to see wild earthen eyes in shades of brown, green, and gold. So vivid, so intense, that I immediately felt faint. Strong arms held me steady, and eventually lifted me with nary any effort.
“I am here to breathe life back into the winter of your heart. Let me warm you with my fire.” And you carried my weakened body into the wooded area of this magickal world. Placed upon a soft bed of moss, I had finally found the voice I thought I’d lost, “Who am I? Who am I to stir a fire deep within?”
Deep sunset gold showered over my face as your answer was low to my ear, “You are my forever love; my maiden of night, my mistress of the moon. Without you, I cease to exist.”
Summer melted over me in one mad rush as a kiss of your sunshine found its way to me. My arms found their way around you, and the energy you emitted had somehow awakened something in me. I felt the tingling of my skin on yours, and the radiance it had beheld somewhat frightened me. The silver glow of moonlight overlay upon every inch of me, and I knew I carried the essence of the night.
My fingertips gently raked their way through your stream of gold spun hair, and trailed down slowly along your spine. The cool I normally felt gave way to the soft warmth as you pressed against me. I writhed when the tips of your fingers caressed the most sensitive parts of my being. Eons seemed to pass by under your pleasurable torture. Breathing in the scent of your Spring air, my tiny fangs nipped alongside the curve of your neck. A sudden jerk of surprise caused your eyes to meet mine. No words exchanged except for the thoughts we shared.
A sensation suddenly filled me, and I could feel a great fire burning inside. Fearing that you would disappear, I secured myself to you, and closed my eyes to the world. Light and darkness slowly danced in this season, and gradually the soft light of your Spring blazed into Summer. The heat was immense, and scorched every fiber inside me. Drowning under your power, I arched against you, and felt the Winter within dissipate. When all I knew were the Summer kisses planted across every part of my exposed self, my darkness gave way to let in your flood of light. Not long after, a cooling rain began to fall. Steam rose from the ground, lifting you away. The sun silhouetted your form, and the tricolor of your eyes bore into my soul, melting the remnants of Winter.
Your voice as soft as a sorrowful song lit my heart aflame, and I felt to live again, “Hues of blue, seas of green, your eyes of night will I soon see.”
I drank in your words as if they were a thick honeyed potion, and in a moment, you were gone. I felt one with the Earth, with the season, and with you.
