Cold Beauty
Prologue
She gets out of the car. She moves up the stairs and through the tall wooden doors. Down the aisle she walks, a red devil in a sea of black.
Standing upon the platform, she looks into the display. Her hand reaching out to touch the body of the one person she hated most throughout her life.
Her mother.
She turns her head a little to the right, eyes connecting with her mirror image, Jazmyn. Her mouth lifted slightly, showing the echo of a smile, before facing the body once more. Then she turns to her left, looking upon the cold face of the only person she could hate more than her mother.
Her father.
She sneered at him, before throwing one final glance towards her mother. She then walked out the room, down the aisle, through the doors, down the steps, and into the car, her father and sister trailing behind her.
Eyes dry and body filled with satisfaction, she knew it was time...
Time for Brazilia Serenity Hallowell to truly begin.
