Two Hearts That Beat As One
Neither one of them knew it but the day they sat next to each other in Homeroom on the first day of school would change both of their lives forever.
Alexis Storm was in her room remembering the day that she met her best friend Nathan Ryder…
Flash Back:
Alexis was running late for her Social Studies class because she had to drop her little brother off at his school first then hop on the train again to get to hers. Alexis was average, she was of average height average weight average looks but the only thing not average about her was her talents a very talented girl but also a very lazy one. She was a writer, a singer, an actor and she could play the piano, the drums and the guitar. She had black with a bit of blonde, white and red in it. She had on her basic uniform a white Polo shirt with beige kakis her hair loose with a beige headband.
She entered the classroom about more then half the class looked at her. she hated being late for class because then when you walk through the door all the attention is on you, and that’s one thing she did not like very much was attention. So since obviously it was the first day of school and she wasn’t important and didn’t know anybody except maybe for a tall boy in the back of the class who use to go to her elemenry and they were close but other then that everyone else in the room was all new faces. She signed her name in the late book and then looks around for an empty seat there were only a couple she sat at the one nearest her. It was two desks behind the teacher’s desk and next to a Chinese girl. She sat down and took out a notebook and a pen.
“Hey, what are we doing?” She asked the boy to her left.
“Oh right now we are just writing down thing that we know about Christopher Columbus then we gonna discuss it in groups.” The boy replied
“Thanks” she looked at his paper for his name. it read Cypress “Cypress, cool name”
“Yeah thanks. What’s yours?” he asked
“Alexis” she replied
“Cool” then they went back to their work. Ten minutes had past before the teacher had told them to share what they had written and to discuss it. Since Alexis had came in late she still was writing a bit more to finish up her paragraph but when she finished she joined Cypress’ group. He was currently trying to make a point to the other boy in the group.
“The guy discovered America.” The guy said.
“no he did not.” Cypress replied
“Hey what are ya’ll arguing about?” Alexis asked
“Nathan over here seems to have this retarted idea that Colombus discovered America.” Cypress said
“Cause he did.” Nathan defended
“ No actually he didn’t cause technilly he never reached America he reached the carabian to where D.R. and Hati. And if any thing Colombus was a murder.” She told him
“oh really?” Nathan challeneged
“yeah really.” She challenged back. They stared at each other for what seemed like forever which was actually a couple of seconds. Then they just busted out laughing. The bell rang and people started packing up and leaving. When Alexis finished and put her bookbag over her shoulder Nathan had turned around
“I didn’t catch your name.” he asked as they walked to the door.
“I didn’t give it.” She said turning down the hall to get to her next class
Alexis went to her next class which was Spanish. After that she went to her locker to put some stuff in it. Nathan was standing at the locker beside hers looking through his book bag. She walked up to the locker beside his to open up her locker.
“Nathan.” She said putting the combination. Nathan looked up.
“Hey, see no fair you know my name and I still didn’t get yours. What do you expect me to call you.”
“I don’t know” she turned around and leaned against the lockers. “hmmm…how about the girl who kicked your but in the Social Studies debate.” She said turing back around and closing her locker.
“naw to long. Cant you give me something shorter.” She started to walk off shaking her head. “Oh come on that’s gonna be the second time you leave me hanging.” She was at the end of the hall.
“Birth Citificate says Alexis.” She said loud enough for him to hear then she turned the corner.
“Alexis.” He whispered.
End Of Flash Back
Alexis was in her room looking out her window. It almost 2 years later since that moment happened and now her life was tottaly different. Since that day her and Nathan became inseparable, they know every little detail about each others lives. The perfect friendship, they barley ever argue and when they do they make up in less then an hour. It was proberly to perfect. But only if you were looking in from the outside if you knew everything that went on in those 2 years what they went through what their still going through all the things they over came and all the drama filled in their lives. You would think it was perfect but no matter what through all their trouble and hardships, loves and heartbreaks they always was their for each other, maybe that’s why many people thought they would make the perfect couple, but their was just a couple of things standing in their way. Number one, they wouldn’t admit it to them selves. Number two, Alexis was with her girlfriend Marissa and Nathan was with his boyfriend Mike and Number three there was just to much going on in there lives for them to notice each others feelings for the other one...
