Chapter 1: A Not So Surprising Meeting
Nothing moved on the streets of New York at night. Not a single thing... Or at least that’s what the residents of the city tried to convince themselves. Nothing happened on the streets at all. Those gun shots were nothing. That blood on the cement didn't exist. It was foolish for members of such a large city to deny the fact that their town was, put simply, under siege from sunset to sunrise. And only between those hours mind you.
Adrian and that damn demon. Adrian being the head of the vampires, and Dimitri the head of the demons. Both fiercely powerful, yet both wise enough to use that power with caution. Adrian was a calm leader, mostly using his stealth and slyness to sneak up on the other.
"But we don't..." A figure muttered, snubbing out the butt of his cigarette, unable to finish his thoughts as he pulled his black trench coat tighter around his thin figure. The street he was currently surveying was empty. Void of all life. Of course, there were those poor mortals, tucked warmly into their bed sheets; fooling themselves into thinking they were safe from the two power-hungry creatures out in the night. "Sometimes I feel sorry for the poor bastards." A few strands of layered shoulder length silver hair fell into the figure's face, a thin pale finger brushing it back behind an ear, only to sigh as it fell into his eyes once again. His eyes… Those piercing green iris' that looked as if they could sear through anything.
The man was rather tall, just over six feet, but his figure was not a solid muscular one. Sometimes, the dashing vampire would be confused with a woman. And that just added to his maliciousness. Tall and thin. Not the kind you would think to win a fight. Oh, but many fights he had won. Quite some actually. And he intended to win a few more. His gaze wandered to the end of the street. There really was nobody out here. Or maybe that was what he had been lead to think, either way... /RING/ /RING/ Damn that cell phone! The sound resounded through the street. Well, if there had been any people on the street, they had been scared away, or informed of his presence.
"Yes?!" The man hissed into the phone, his eyes darting up the street.
"Well geeze... That's a nice way to react..." The voice was a female, obviously.
"Aye. Resa. Is this really necessary? I'm kinda out in the field..."
"Why of course it's necessary! I just wanted to inform you that we lost six more tonight."
"Shit... We better do something about this situation, and fast. We can't keep losing people like this."
"I know what you mean...”
After a few more minutes of talking, Adrian shoved the phone back into his pocket, continuing down the street. "Shit..."
It truly was amazing... Wherever he went, wherever he lingered for too long, the flaming grips of hell followed after him. He could just stand in one spot, and the people around him would cower at the amount of power that just radiated off him. Yeah, he was that good. So good in fact, that he could take out three of the opposing gang members just by himself. Of course he was that good. Actually, he was the best. If he hadn't been, then he wouldn't have been the leader of the Demon Gang in New York. The famous Demon Gang that everyone feared... Of course, the foolish humans just continued to ignore them, think they weren't real. As if his gang was just some scary bed time story that the humans told their children. Hn. Quite offensive if you asked him. They were more then just fictional bed time stories... They were real, and they refused to keep quiet about it.
It was him, the leader of the Demons within New York, and that other leader. That other leader who thought he was all that. What was his name again? Adrian, the leader of the Vampires. Heh, Vampires weren't nearly as good as Demons. Of course not, everyone knew that. While Adrian and his little lackeys used his stealth and planned on what he was going to do to kill his enemies in battle, Dimitri should know, he had to fight him on more then one occasion, Dimitri just tended to rush into situations and use whatever skills necessary. Hey, it got him this far and he was still alive, so that just had to count for something, right? Of course it did. If it didn't, Dimitri would have been dead long ago. But so far, no one had succeeded in killing him, despite all the assassinations and what not. No, Dimitri was far from being gone from this world... But for those idiotic fools… To think that Dimitri would go down by one guy… That would never happen.
Relaxing the grip on the handle of his sword, he stared at the mess of bodies around him. The corner of his lips quirked into a dangerous grin. These Vampires were too arrogant. And Dimitri should know, arrogance was his category. Thinking that they could take down a demon... they should have known who it was they were following before suddenly attacking. The looks on their faces when he began to slay them... priceless. The sound of splattering against the old tiled walls was heard as the standing male splattered the blood on his sword onto the walls. This man, who had survived, had dark obsidian color hair that was neatly gelled back in place, only a few disobedient strands of hair were undone, and refused to stay put. His hair was longer then most males, he would give it that, but it wasn't that long. It gently brushed his shoulders. His body type was far from feminine. While he was quite strong, his body didn't show it. It did however; give off a nice toned look. His skin, which was completely opposite of those of a Vampire, was nicely tanned. Tanned in places that Dimitri was naturally born with. He was just lucky that way.
The sound of metal sliding into metal was heard as Dimitri sheathed his sword in one swift movement. Ah, those last few killings had been fun... but no challenge whatsoever. He felt like he needed a challenge... but from whom was he going to receive it from? Sighing gently, he raised his right hand to brush a few strands from his eyes. While his hair was a dark obsidian color, his eyes were another matter. Bright azure eyes peered through narrowed lids as the man continued to think of a course of action. While it was a mystery to everyone else how even though he was far from pure and innocent, his eyes tended to show every emotion he had at the time. If he was pissed, one could see hell in those eyes and instantly back off. It was truly one thing to be amazed at. At the sound of a phone ringing from the alleyway behind him, he walked to the other side of the rooftop to gaze below. Down below, in a dark alleyway where no person would ever be seen walking, a man was talking on his phone. A male that just so happened to look like a certain Vampire whom would vanquish his boredom. Following after the man a little further, he watch in amusement as the male quickly turned off his phone, and shoved it into his pocket with a quick curse.
Before letting the male out of his sight however, he yelled something down below, hoping to catch the others attention. "Hey, Princess! You seemed to be lost." Of course it was directed at the silver haired male below. Already, his right hand was itching to use his sword and just hear that sweet sound of equilibrium as the blade sliced through the air. Leaning against the side wall, he was still partly consumed by shadows. Though, Adrian should know who he was just by his voice... after all, this wasn't the first time they had met somewhere in this neutral territory. "It's not safe to be out here... what with Demons around..." He murmured gently, though loud enough for the other male to hear. Ah yes... he would enjoy this meeting, already he could tell.
Pssh. And this just made it all the more better. When he was on the very edge of his nerve, Dimitri just had to be in the same area as he. What a wonderful coincidence. "Oh well I do hope that I don't run into one of those!" Adrian replied covering his mouth in a mock surprised way. “That would be incredibly horrible! But I'm sure I would know if I ran into one of them. I hear they smell, have foul facial features, and are horrible at fighting. Oh wait! Are you one of them?!"
The vampire cut his little princess act glancing to the shadow that the demon was currently occupying, before leaning against the wall of the alley drawing a cigarette and lighter from his pocket. Adrian seemed to think that this conversation would just be a casual one, even if he could smell the blood on Dimitri's blade. It was vampire blood, that much he knew. "Did you have fun?" He asked, quickly flicking open the lighter to burn the end of his cigarette before he shoved it back into his pocket as quickly as he had produced it.
Oh he went about things in such a carefree way.
A small chuckle escaped those partly open lips as he listened to the Vampire below. Heh, yea, ok. Dimitri had to admit, what the little brat below had said was mildly amusing. Allowing the one below to have just a few more verbal hits, his azure eyes glanced at the male who seemed to act so cool, it almost pissed him off. "You know, you play that role too well, Princess." He replied, that amused grin on his face not wavering a bit. Ah yes, to be around the smart ass Vampire below was always a pleasure... from what he heard, he himself was the only one able to crawl underneath the leader of the Vampire's skin, like he did. What could he say, it was a natural talent. Pissing people off was always a favorite hobby of his. One that he did quite often too...
The obsidian haired male watched as Adrian leaned against the alleyway wall, and pulled out a cigarette. That reminded him... licking his lips with a wet tongue, he idly tried to remember what had happened to the cigarette he had lit before the battle with the three Vampires. Hadn't he used it to burn one of their eyes out? Ah, that's right, he had done that. Chuckling once again at the man's words, he shook his head gently. "Of course not! They were Vampires! I have better fights fighting with my own kind! And not only that, but I took down three of them at the same time..." Dimitri murmured, trying to change his tone to seem sad and disappointed. It was strange, really. They were enemies, him and Adrian, yet he couldn't help but point out the others flaws. After all, when the Vampires finally create a stronger force, it meant more fun for him. More of a challenge. "And I can't seem to get this boredom out of the way... Though I'm sure you could help me with that..." Of course he was mentioning a fight! He had been dieing to have a proper, hard challenge since a few days ago. Since then, he had been out; hunting whatever challenge there was out here. Of course, there was absolutely none. The only challenge that Dimitri actually considered to be equal and challenging, was whenever he dueled with Adrian. Though, it wasn't like he was going to tell Adrian that.
"Oh, well I'm sure I can trust you on that one," Adrian replied to Dimitri's first comment. True, the demon was the best at getting under his skin, and not many could. Just something about his cockiness made Adrian want to beat the crap out of him.
"No, actually I don't think I can today." He replied, tilting his head a bit to look upwards at the shadow. The vampire’s pretty lips curled around the cigarette, before glancing to the floor. "I really don't feel like it, you know?"
It would be interesting to see the cocky bastard's reaction to that. Adrian took a long drag of his cigarette before flicking it to the side, watching the embers fade in the darkness. His green eyes flicked back up to glance at Dimitri, or at least where he knew Dimitri was.
Dimitri's right eye twitched at the cool demeanor that the other male seemed to be giving. Damn it! It was that cold demeanor that pissed him off to no end! How could that damned Vampire just be so cool as if he was talking to another one of his own? This was Dimitri he was talking to, the all great leader of all the Demons in New York... Growling gently at the obvious show of disrespect, Dimitri showed himself from the shadows, peering down at the male in the alleyway. The sound of metal scraping against metal was heard as Dimitri pulled out his sword, holding the handle tightly in his right hand.
"What do you mean you don't 'feel like it'?!" Dimitri hissed angrily, anger easily seen in his azure eyes. "Since when have you ever been one to refuse my challenge? Oh... but maybe you’re getting soft on me..." Two could play at this game... Pretending to shrug gently, he continued to gaze down at the silver haired male who continued to ignore him as if he was nothing. "If you think you're too weak to handle me, that's all you have to say..." He said, trying to goad the man into fighting him tonight.
"Nope, not at all. I just don't feel like fighting." How Adrian was staying so cool, even after he had lost six vampires that night, he didn't even know. Usually the other's comments would straight out piss him off, but tonight he didn't give much a damn.
"Oh don't worry I'm not going soft on you Mister Demon," he replied with a yawn, shoving his hands in his pockets. It would be interesting to see what exactly Dimitri would do. Because clearly he wanted to fight Adrian, so he probably wouldn't just outright kill him. They were the main sources of challenge in the entire city, the two most powerful beings. He had a feeling that Dimitri would want a fair, or as fair as it could get, fight.
The sound of boots thudding on the dirt covered floor was heard as Dimitri landed quite smoothly into the alley way. Now he was on the same level as Adrian. At least this way he could strangle the living shit out of the other male. Taking a step forward, his sword still out, he continued to stare at the silver haired male. What the hell was up with Adrian? Was it possible for Vampires to get sick? "Hey, Princess... honestly, you must be angry, at least a little bit. I did kill three of your precious followers; no doubt my other demon friends probably did more damage..." He murmured, taking another step forward. It was always so hard to read what was behind those Jade green eyes... Always so guarded... Surely the Princess had to be mad at something... or at least give off any emotion other then boredom... Damn Adrian...
"Found a new nickname for me huh?" He questioned, totally ignoring the topic. Of course he had already been informed of it over the cell phone. That was the main reason he had cursed. But it was a regular thing, to hear that you lost some of your comrades. Adrian tried not to get too attached to them. "Oh no, believe me, I'm pissed. I just don't feel like being an idiot and taking my anger out on any little demon that comes my way wanting a fight." Adrian replied casually, sticking his tongue out at that last part. Well, yes he was great at hiding his emotions. He had years of practice after all. His green eyes moved up to meet the demon's dark eyes, a glint of mischievousness in them.
The dark haired demon shrugged gently, a small grin on his face. "Of course, after all, don't you think it suits you better? I do... Considering how... feminine you look. Almost like a girl... you must get confused as one plenty of times, huh?" He teased, that mischievous grin still planted on his face. Ah, if it was one thing he enjoyed teasing the other about, it was the fact that he looked so girlish. Though, to the obsidian haired demon, he liked how the other looked. It was almost fascinating to watch how swiftly the other moved during battle... Dimitri had been distracted by the other's movements plenty of times during battle. Of course, not that he'd ever tell his vampire rival that.
As the other male continued to talk, his right eyebrow twitched once again in obvious anger. Fuck, did Adrian ever show his emotions?? It seemed like he didn't... Actually, he never really showed any emotion other then boredom... Too guarded the other was... "It must suck, huh? Never being able to get too close to anyone because of the kind of world it is... One day you're so close to one person... the next day, they're found dead in a dark alley." Shrugging gently, Dimitri tried to hide how he felt on the matter. He was sure they had both lost people they cared about... if they hadn't, then why the hell would both him and Adrian be standing where they were now?
However, after hearing the last part of the sentence, he rolled his eyes. It seemed his words had fallen on deaf ears... It was amazing how casual Adrian could act at times... A fine eyebrow rose at the tongue that was offered to him. Smirking dangerously, Dimitri gently tapped himself on the shoulder with his sword. "Are you trying to seduce me?" He asked slyly, licking his lips in a seductive manner. Hey! He didn't start it! Adrian was the one who started it with sticking his tongue out!
Well that was one thing that was true. Adrian had plenty of incidents where people assumed he was a girl. The other's comment did piss him off, but he simply shrugged replying smartly, "Ah, I guess I'll just take that as a compliment, no? At least I don't look like some buff, hairy, sweaty man, ya?"
An aggravated sigh left his lips at the remark about losing people. "Yeah, about that. I tend to stay away from close relationships of any kind. Only lead to trouble you know?" Sad fact was, Adrian hadn't really ever become close to anybody in a long time. A long, long time. Why he was telling Dimitri that, hell only knew.
"Oh dear lord no. I'd say you were the one who was seducing me first. Describing how much I look like a girl." That did seem to fluster him a little more than usual, what the demon had said just then, although there wasn't much change in his calm demeanor.
That same smirk refused to leave his lips as he saw the pissed look on the man’s face. Now, anyone else would have seen no difference in the males face, but Dimitri was not just anyone. No, he was the all famous Demon leader, the great Dimitri. And he had known Adrian for quite a bit of time... At the comment the other made, he snorted in amusement. Hahaha, that was somewhat funny. Using his left hand, he grabbed the bottom of his dark azure shirt. "So according to you, I'm some buff, hairy, sweaty man... right?" Lifting his shirt up in one swift movement, he brought the shirt up high enough to just show two small brown nubs. He looked at his chest, then back to Adrian. "Does this handsome chest look hairy and sweaty?" In fact, his chest was quite opposite. Though his chest wasn't as thin and feminine as Adrian's, his chest was well sized for someone of his height. A very tanned and cleaned chest showed to the other male, what appeared to be an eight pack as well. "Do you know how many have fawned over this chest?" Dimitri continued to tease; finally releasing his shirt so that it covered him up once again after he made sure Adrian got a look at him. Psh, hairy and sweaty? Yea right.
The dark obsidian haired male nodded gently at the man’s words. Hell, it was true. He too stayed out of any relationship that was too close. In the sort of business he was in, the world he was in, any relationship of the sort was dangerous... "Of course, I understand perfectly well. You're not the only one who’s lost someone dear to you." Ok, ok... How did Dimitri know that Adrian had even lost someone dear, right? After all, it wasn't like Adrian had actually told him. Well, consider it a small feeling the obsidian haired demon had. To him, it was obvious whenever someone had lost another dear to them. It was just a feeling he received.
Another chuckle escaped him as he heard the other male. Heh, he didn't just receive a, oh no, he received a, oh dear lord no. ...He wasn't that bad, now was he? He hadn't thought so... Taking a few more steps forward, just so that he entered the vampires 'personal zone' on purpose, he continued. "And if I was trying to seduce you? What would you say to that?" His voice had deepened just a slight bit, and a husky sort of tone entered his voice. He wasn't serious; he was just bull shitting the other male. Though despite how close he was coming, he knew better then to get too close. He didn't feel like losing his head today...
That was a nice chest, Adrian had to say. And he was a little taken aback. With its tan bronzed tint. It just made Adrian want to run his hands along those toned muscl- What the hell was he thinking?! "Mmh. You're just an incredible exception in that case." Ohhh. That was a compliment in itself. Don't get those from Adrian very often.
"I would say that you're just an immature horny little boy that I imagined you to be." he smirked, giving no sign at all that he was upset from his lack of personal space. Hey, Dimitri was attractive, yes. But he had an attitude problem. Then again, so did Adrian.
Dimitri grinned at the man's words. Hahaha, my, what was that look in his eyes? Lust? Attractiveness? Of course Adrian would give him such looks! After all, look at him! He was damn sexy! Tall, dark, and handsome. His body was nicely fit with just enough muscle, and that tan that was nearly impossible! So many had cried for his body... and damn did he love it!
Ok... well he can check off 'entering the vampires personal space', and 'lewd comments' to the checklist of 'Ways to Piss off Adrian.' After all, they didn't seem to work... Well, maybe this next one would... Chuckling at the male, he lifted his left hand and gently cupped the silver haired males chin in a way that a lover would do to his or her mate. "And there's something wrong with that...?" He asked gently, his beautiful azure eyes remaining locked onto his rival's Jade green eyes. There were times when Dimitri could easily tell what the other man was thinking just by his actions, or body movement. However, there were other times when Dimitri was staring into those Jade green eyes that were so well blocked, and he could rarely even manage to capture a glimpse inside.
It was totally obvious that Dimitri was trying to push the limit. He was just waiting to see when Adrian would break. And it was probably right there that he did. One slender hand shot up to grab the other's arm, in a grip that was surprising for somebody with such a lack of muscle. "Well yes there is... I don't like competing with a pack of horny little teenage boys. Wait, actually there would really be no competition there, would there? ‘Cause the whole time you would be off trying to get it on with some random chicks, or hell guys, with STD's."
Wow. Dimitri really seemed to cross a line when he touched Adrian. That was a big no, no. His green eyes narrowed a little, and the flame of anger was fairly obvious through that mask he was trying to put up. Idiot. "You might be careful, or I'll see to it that somebody cuts it off." With that his mischievous grin formed into a smirk.
A small smirk of his own formed on Dimitri's lips as he saw the irritated look on Adrian’s face. But not only that, but the man actually grabbed his wrist, his very skinny and feminine wrist that held quite a bit of strength in them. Though, it didn't bother Dimitri. As he heard the words, he refused to move his hand, or remove himself. Instead, he stayed right beside Adrian. Although it looked as if he was just smirking away in amusement, he was actually quite tense and ready to move in action if the situation called for it. Already he knew that he had pushed the male far enough, hence the dangerous look in Adrian's once guarded eyes, and there was nothing wrong in being too cautious. After all, Adrian might try to kill him with a knife in his pocket or something... "Pack of horny teenage boys? Hell, Adrian... You should know me better then that. You know I'm the one who starts it all. As for STD's... Nah, we're demons. We can't die from human diseases that easily... Besides, your little female friend didn't seem to mind me yesterday while I was banging her on the side of the wall." He replied cockily, tilting his head lightly to make the wall beside them even more obvious. True, he never slept with a Vampire before, despite how tempted he always was. Why? Because... they bit hard, so he heard, and he had no intention on becoming a Vampire and falling beneath Adrian. He was just teasing Adrian for the hell of it.
As the Demon stared into those flaming eyes, he grinned. Ah yes, despite how hard everyone tried to make the young Vampire show emotion, it never worked. He should know, he watched. But he himself seemed to be the only one to ever get some reaction out of the silver haired male. Even if it was anger or hate, it was sure of a hell a lot better then nothing at all. "Aw... can't my hand molest you just a bit longer before it gets hacked off?" He questioned with another mischievous grin.
"Friend? Oh you think that I would sink low enough to have a few friends? Hell no." Adrian laughed, a little irritated that Dimitri hadn't yet moved away. Of course he didn’t have 'friends.' Actually, he had more acquaintances. It got a little lonely when he had nobody to talk to. Well, there was always the demon. Ahaha.
"I would rather you not," Adrian replied gripping the other's hand a little tighter. His words were dripping with no emotion, but the slightest hint of annoyance and anger were sprinkled in here and there. Dimitri was really the only person that could truly piss Adrian off, and in the past he had realized that it was some sort of sick sport for the demon. So he would use all his willpower to stay completely emotionless, because that seemed to piss the other off. "I find it amusing how you incessantly try to piss me off. Never seems to work, does it dear?" He hissed lightly, a smirk lighting up on his features.
Dimitri shrugged at the other male’s statement. "Well no wonder it always seems like you got a nine inch stick shoved up your ass..." He replied with a small grin, refusing to move away from the Vampire just yet. "Perhaps we should replace it with something else just as long and hard...?" Ah, Dimitri just loved that look of fury in the other male’s eyes... it made him feel alive. More alive then killing all his other pathetic Vampire followers. Nothing made him feel freer then truly pissing the hell out of Adrian. And just being this close to the other male, Dimitri could feel his effects working.
Even as the male gripped his wrist tighter, he refused to retract his hand from touching the other male. The silver haired male wasn't gripping his wrist hard enough to do any real damage; Dimitri would make sure nothing more worse then a bruise happened to himself, so the dark haired demon was in the safe... for now. As he heard the words his rival said, he smirked to himself, trying to hold back the small burst of anger that appeared in his chest. Why did Adrian always act so cool?? However, he cooled down and gave Adrian one of his famous drop dead sexy grins.
Dimitri could still see that slight anger in those jade green eyes... "Well, by my standards, it seems to work." He murmured, his azure eyes glittering in mischievousness. Lowering his face so that it looked like he was about to kiss Adrian, he smirked gently. "Aw... does the princess like her personal space?" He said in a slightly teasing tone. He had brought himself so close to the other mans face that he could feel the anger radiating off of the man. Hey, it was Dimitri's nature. Piss a person of so that they were so close to the edge, then piss them off even more after that to see how much more it took before they fell off the ledge.
"Oh, you're clever aren't you?" Adrian replied sarcastically, his jade eyes leaving the demon's face only to glance back down at his torso. Wow. That view of the other’s chest was nicer than he had imagined... STOP! The grip on Dimitri's hand slackened considerably, before he let out a toothy smirk. "You wish sweetheart..."
Adrian closed his eyes only for a moment, in irritation... And was that distress? Not a smart idea. With the shake of his head, Adrian was glancing back up into the demon's eyes again. "Don't get any ideas smart ass." Looking away for only a moment, the vampire lifted his spare hand, pressing it to Dimitri's chest. "The princess..." He paused, running a hand down it before shoving the other away roughly, with a strength unexpected for someone of his build. "LOVES her personal space."
Dimitri's eyebrows rose gently in surprise at the look the other was giving him. Ohoho... What was this? Did Adrian just glance at his halfway naked torso? Great, something he could use for blackmail later on. However, Dimitri glanced at the vampire in slight confusion as the hand holding onto his wrist slackened. What was it that Adrian was thinking? What other reason would Adrian have for suddenly glancing at his torso, then almost releasing his hand? The vampire was definitely up to something... Or maybe the other male just needed to get his thoughts straightened out.
"Of course I wish. Now I'm trying to make it real..." The dark haired demon murmured with a slight smirk. Hahaha, this was a fun day indeed. As he saw Adrian close his eyes in irritation, Dimitri knew he had this. Score one for the demon leader, zero for the loser vampire leader. "But I like my ideas..." He replied with a lewd sway of his hips, along with a wink. Ah yes... He was so irresistible. However, his eyebrow raised once again in question as Adrian placed a hand on his chest, gently running said body part down. That action shouldn't have caused the shiver it did to Dimitri, but it did. The demon would have said something about it, but before he had a chance to, he saw exactly what that hand was going to do.
The hit was only minimum as he managed to jump back before the impact of the others hand caused too much damage to him. He landed on his left knee, his right foot remaining on the floor. Growling gently, Dimitri glared darkly at the other male. "You should know better then to lead a man on... it could cause some... later consequences." He murmured darkly, his azure eyes flickering dangerously to a crimson color. Shaking his head gently, his eyes returning to its once normal azure color, he stood up completely, a grin appearing on his face. "I didn't know you felt that strongly about me, princess. So does that mean you're now thinking about playing with me? If you don't... I'll just continue to make lewd comments about your nice ass." Dimitri replied, winking gently at the irritated male. Oh this was just too much fun...
Adrian smirked a little at Dimitri's reaction. That was more entertaining than he had expected it to be. "Really, love...? And what might those consequences be?" Oh, he had pissed the demon off. The crimson flicker of those eyes was a sure sign. Rare times when he could accomplish something like that. "Really, I'd like to know what you’re capable of."
His jade eyes wandered back up to Dimitri's as the vampire backed away from the wall slightly. One hand lifted, palm facing upward while the other rested on his hip. "Well, the princess will play with you. But only if you don't cry after she beats your ass." A slight grin pulled up at the corners of his mouth before he snapped his fingers, a small ball of darkness surrounding his hand. "Unless you would just like to make lewd comments about my ass, while I kick yours. Either way is fine." Smirk.
"Well for starters, I might have to fuck you all night just to show you how serious I am. So hard, you won't even be able to walk the next few days." He replied back to the other male, another grin placed on his face. "I'm capable of a lot more then you think I am..." Of course, this was Adrian whom he was talking to. The same man who had seen most of his moves and styles before. Dimitri wouldn't be surprised if the other man knew things about him that he didn't even know. However, Adrian may know things about the dark haired demon, but said demon knew quite a lot about the Vampire as well. That's what happened when you rivaled with someone for so long. You get to know what they did, who they were, hell; Dimitri wouldn’t even be surprised if he or Adrian knew what type of bath sponge the other used. Of course, maybe this was just Dimitri.
"Please, that Princess couldn't beat the Knights ass if she wanted to. I doubt said Princess would even get close." He taunted, shrugging his shoulders gently. Stretching gently, he moved the sword from its place on his right shoulder, the sound of gentle clattering being heard through the small alleyway as the point of Dimitri's sword landed on the ground. Finally, it took long enough for the highness to get her ass moving. Now he was going to have a true fight. One he had been craving for quite a long time... "Aww... Can't I just make lewd comments about your ass while we fight? Won't you allow me a grope or two?" Ah, this was fun... But surely not as much fun as he would receive from fighting the other male. The obsidian haired demon longed to hear the sweet sound his blade made while slicing through the air...
Adrian let out a low growl at that first comment, his eyes narrowing considerably as the darkness in his hands increased. Wait. Why was he getting mad about this? Did he really think Dimitri that much of a threat to be worrying that might happen? It seemed he did.
"Really? Then why would you even bother fighting the Princess in the first place?" He questioned, sending the other a questionable glare. His silver hair swished a little about his face as the wind picked up, accentuating his poison green eyes even more so. "You wanna try it?"
Dimitri smirked gently at the low growling he was hearing. Hahaha. What? Was Adrian afraid that he actually might fuck him some day later? Aw... poor princess... That same dark haired demon stared at the large amount of dark energy in amusement. So Adrian was that scared that Dimitri might actually try something like that, eh? Dimitri would have laughed straight out if it weren't for the death glare he was receiving. Ah yes, that famous death glare that he seemed to receive so much. It was a wonder said dark haired demon hadn't died from just that look alone.
"Well... let's just say the Knight wants to have a... 'little fun' with the pretty little Princess that seems to have had caught his interest." A wink followed that statement, a wink just for the glaring man at the other side of the alleyway. "Wanna try what? Groping your ass? I'd love to!" Dimitri replied with a slight chuckle, amusing himself with how annoyed he was managing to get the other male. With the way Dimitri was going, he doubted he was going to leave here with just a bruise. His head being decapitated from his body sounded more like it.
"A little fun?" Adrian asked rolling his eyes. "I certainly hope that you don't plan on scarring up that pretty face of hers..." Now he was angry, just about as angry as he could feel at the moment. Because before his little 'Dimitri-sighting' he had been in pretty high spirits, the demon couldn't bring him down too much. "And what did the little Princess do to attract the 'noble' Knights interest?"
Another smirk rolled onto his face, the darkness finally reaching its full capacity and wrapping around his arm. "I would like to see you try."
"Oh of course not! The Knight would never even think to scar that beautiful face of hers!" Dimitri replied, raising his left hand in a small surrender motion. "Nothing but simple teasing, my’ lady." Hell, he didn't want to kill his rival, just torture him with some embarrassment was all. Again, nothing but teasing. At the next part, he couldn't help but chuckle slightly audibly. Whoever said anything about noble? "Well, just walking by was enough to gain the Knights interest. He couldn't help but come and try to swoon her."
Dimitri caught site of the smirk, and instantly realized what had happened. Had they been talking already for so long, that the man’s darkness attack had already been fully completed? Ah well... That was what he had his sword for. If swung at the right moment, it could block said magic. It was specially enhanced to block and protect him from Adrian's 'dark' powers. After quite a bit of time fighting the same man, one begun to realize how you could counter him. "Oh, I'll do more then just try. What's wrong? Scared I might actually do more then just grope that ass?" Oh yea, Dimitri was surely skating on thin ice by now...
"Oh really? That's interesting..." Adrian replied, tapping a now pitch black finger to his chin. That hand would do some damage, yes. And with that darkness wrapped around it he could easily block any attacks from the other's sword. Like a shield, and a ramming fist all in one.
"You know, I think the Princess confused the Knight with a smelly stable boy," the vampire hissed, his hand forming into a fist. Of course he was waiting for Dimitri to make the first move. "You're definitely pushing it Dimitri..."
"Aren't I always?" He replied cockily with that same arrogant, yet sexy as hell smirk. Psh, hell, he was always interesting! He could capture anyone’s attention if he wanted to. Though Adrian was an exception... The man was incredibly stubborn, and hard to sway once he had his thoughts sorted out. But that's what Dimitri liked in the man. The demon could always look for some sort of fight when it came to Adrian.
Chuckling lightly, Dimitri stared into those angered eyes with amusement. "Oh really? Well hell, the princess is still talking to him, eh? So I guess the Knight must not be that bad then." Oh, Dimitri could practically smell the anger radiating off of the other man. Also, just by looking at Adrian's body, Dimitri could tell that the vampire was far from acting friendly. "When don't I ever?" He replied arrogantly, that same smirk planted on his face. He wasn't going to be the first to attack. That he sure as hell knew. Sure he wanted a fight, but he wanted to see what Adrian would do.
"You think way too highly of yourself." Adrian replied, glancing to the side to examine the alley's wall for a moment. No reason in particular, it might just throw Dimitri off; that was all. The demon should be relishing this moment, because the vampire rarely, if ever, showed any anger. "Only with you Dimitri, only with you…" He muttered, glancing back into the demon's dark eyes.
"She's only talking to him out of pity." He replied with a smirk, slowly walking in the direction of the demon, ignoring his last comment.
"Of course! I mean, I am everything that everyone wants. I know what to bring to someone." This followed by, of course, a very suggestive wink towards the other male. However, upon catching site of the other male glancing to the side as if in an uncaring manner, he frowned gently. What the hell was so interesting about the alley wall? Certainly nothing more important then him of course! Upon the males comment, he couldn't help but smirk slightly. "The one and only. I can assure you, you won't ever meet another guy like me." So in other words, they couldn't kill each other. They could, but then there would be no one to compete with, and therefore making them both bored. And that certainly was not an option. So they settled for beating the crap out of each other instead.
Dimtri narrowed his eyes gently at that last comment. Hm... What to say to that... "Well hell, at least she's still talking to him. Besides, maybe if she really pitied him, the Princess would let the Knight grope her ass a bit, eh?" He chuckled gently, nothing but pure amusement in his eyes. However, there was also caution. Adrian was advancing closer, meaning he was probably trying to get the demon off guard. Heh, that wouldn't happen.
"Nor would I want to, one of you is enough already..." Adrian replied, his smirk tugging at the corners of his lips, begging them to grow wider, but he wouldn't let it. Then something hit him. Something that just might work, if he could get his emotions to play the way he wanted them to. At least, if his visible emotions worked the way he wanted them to.
"You know..." His jade gaze softened and he lowered his arms to his sides, but did not stop his slow procession towards the demon. "Maybe the Knight is right. Maybe the Princess should give him a chance... to do as he wishes." OH SNAP. That would have caught himself off guard certainly, if he were in Dimitri's position. Especially the way that he turned slightly when next to the demon, letting his hip slide against the other's front. There was a chance that the other would see right through it, in which Adrian would be in deep shit. But there was also a chance that the more instinctive side of Dimitri would fall for it. After all, Adrian's angry gaze had evolved into a more understanding one.
"Aww... You know you love me." Dimitri replied with that continuous grin. Of course, everyone loved him. Either he was loved by everyone, or he simply killed those who didn't love him. Though, Adrian was definitely an exception. He didn't want to kill the man, considering Adrian was his only best, up to par, rival, but he did want Adrian to respect him. Respect his authority over everything. It was obvious that Dimitri was truly the better fighter here...
A pair of azure eyes blinked in slight confusion, though his guard refusing to lower. He didn't like that look in the other mans face. His anger seemed to have diminished, leaving nothing but a softened gaze. What had happened to the angry glare he was receiving not even moments before? As soon as those seductive words had been said, Dimitri just gulped gently, surprised at such words coming out of his rivals mouth. Sure, Dimitri always replied with lewd comments and what not, but the all quiet and stoic Adrian? Never. However, his guard, though wavering gently, didn't move. He remained on guard, cautious at the others actions.
Though, the next action made by Adrian, completely caught him off guard. Dimitri could have sworn that Adrian purposely let his very curvy and feminine hip slide gently against his front side. At this action, the demons eyes widened gently, and the sound of his breath hitching gently was also heard. If Dimitri hadn't held onto his weapon tighter, the dark haired demon would have surely dropped his weapon in surprise. What the hell was Adrian thinking?! Despite himself, his body was already acting to the slight touch of the other male, and his thoughts were completely scattered, if only for a few seconds.
By that time Adrian was standing directly in front of the demon, one of his arms moving out to brush against the other's chest. This was working so well because he never ever showed this side of himself to anybody. And it was almost scary because half of himself wanted it, believed that it was true. Just like Dimitri did.
"Is the Knight at a loss for words?" Adrian asked softly, his voice laced with a thin layer of silk. Damn he could be so feminine sometimes, it freaked him out. "He acts all big, but when he gets his chance he doesn't even take it?" Just a little longer. Lead the other on a little longer...
Continuing to blink at the sudden display in front of him, he was simply stunned. Never in all his days of rivaling with the same Vampire, had he ever seen this type of side from the silver haired male. No... This was a side he had never seen before. A new side. One he found he liked... It reminded him of a sex kitten of a sort... 'Concentrate! Don't loose your focus!' He continued to tell himself, not wanting to fall into the obvious trap Adrian was playing. He doubted Adrian would so suddenly twist the game as such into a more real thing.
After all, they were rivals. Constantly fighting to gain dominance of the other. Glancing down at those Jade green eyes, he couldn't help but to gulp gently, obviously getting turned on from just the small display of the new sexy side of Adrian. Hey! Dimitri was a man, ok? He had needs! Needs that Adrian seemed to be easily pulling out of him... Ok, so it was true he was at a loss of words. Of course! After all, it wasn't everyday one sees their stoic rival practically begging to just be molested. At those simple seductive words that the other murmured, something inside the man snapped, and shattered into a million pieces. It was probably Dimitri’s self control, for it would explain his next actions.
Wrapping his left hand around the man’s waist, he tugged the more petite male closer to him, and lowered his lips to catch those perfectly delicious ones. It was a simple action, but it seemed to cause quite a commotion inside the dark haired demons body. Eh, he would think about the consequences later. For now, he couldn't help but to kiss the little tease. Serves him right... A man could only take so much, and the Princess was definitely pushing him towards the ledge.
