Has no one told you that you're no longer breathing?
Has no one mentioned that you've finally passed on?
This release from sanctity has left you bleeding
For you wouldn't listen when told that you were wrong

Burning in the flames of a reminiscent past
You fight through the fire to regrettably find
That the prospect of your future could never last
When you never left your conceited thoughts behind

You'll drown before you'll swim for the simple reason
That no one will help you now when you're all alone
You've been left for an unforgivable treason:
To take on everyone's ideas but your own

At the edge of your life, when nothing else matters,

Your pride and your soul will be left, torn and tattered
Your actions will betray you, wicked and vile

Here they all come crashing down in your unsound mind,
All those you hurt, everyone you used to get by,
You'll be stripped of your life, but don't fear, soon you'll find
It was as empty as the tears you couldn't cry

All the lessons you thought you knew never sunk in
And all the friends you thought you made were never true
And now as you stand here, contemplating your end
You'll see all that your heart, cold and dead, never knew

Lifeless limbs do no wrong, wordless throats tell no lies
As you join them in your despair and emptiness
Relay one message for me, and look them in the eyes
See their souls reek of lonely wails and tell them this

Money ends at the grave, power will fail you there
Your luck and dreams won't save you from an early grave
A friend in need is a friend worthy of your care
Set down your sword and pen and find a friend to save
