The Rise of the House of Erebus

Tender kisses of rain
Falling from the sky
Descending sapphires upon the earth
Lakes form in gravel
Swirling a spiral of red
Interrupted by droplets
Crimson elixir staining the pure
And her face
A ragged void
Gaping in her chest
A cavity filled with blood
Rose petal lips open as though to talk
Golden eyes staring vacantly at the ground
Merciless monuments ignoring
The metropolis forgetting the promises
But he stares down at her
Blood on his hands
And shirt
No one can see her
But him
She expels her soul as he
Tries to remedy her
He watches her ascend from her remains
She is the fifth to die
