Candy
I let two of my friends read it and they said it was good. So now I want the truth.
This is my first story ever. I'm serious, I’ve never actually written a story before so please be kind when and/or if you review. I think i need a beta but I’m not to sure how to get one... anyway I’m really excited about what people think about it.
Prologue
His eyes where red and he was cursing under his breath.
"Damn wo—woman gezout of my svway!" he slurred squinting at his closed window toward the man in the other car.
He picked up speed and changed lanes despite his blurring vision and a sudden urge to rub his eyes.
He was drunk, but not too much—just over the limit. He passed the man and went back over to the single lane.
He was sure this was the way home, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was so different about this place… maybe it was the forest on the left of him, he was sure those didn't exist yesterday or maybe the single lane highway. Wait, he was sure he didn't live near any highway. This was all very strange to him; maybe he was more drunk than he thought he was.
He rubbed his eyes with both hands forgetting he was in a car – and also the driver.

Candy was sitting on the porch. She loved the country, it was quiet and uneventful. She found it very calming to her nerves. She sat down on an old rocking chair allowing her mind to wander and reflect upon herself, which she did quite often.
Candy was deep in thought:
She was what people called a high stress, creative weirdo, medically, psychologists would perhaps diagnose her with ADD. She blamed it on her mother and her genes but also thanked the woman for her good looks. Candy was a kind woman who liked to help others in order to reinforce her kind nature. She wasn't a crazy lady; although she often imagined what it would be like to own many cats. It didn't sound that bad to her, she figured that cats were cuter then men, and besides they didn't think about sex 24/7, not that sex was bad, she was still a virgin and had a slight fear of the manly organ plus men where so much bigger then her in general. She liked to be in control and on-top...
She smiled as she let her thoughts move along from one subject to the next. She was waiting to be inspired that's what she did when she tried to relax. She liked the feeling of her mind being used for something fun and creative rather then organizing and memorizing names and floors.
With her Ideas and Stuff notebook in one hand and a doodling pen in the other she continued her musings.
Candy glanced up, her eyes becoming bigger as she watched a car moving at what she figured was about 10 km/h.
"Way too slow," she said to herself.
She continued to watch as the car made a sudden left turn and swerv right over her mailbox.
Candy's jaw dropped. Why would anyone park over her mailbox?!
She walked wearily over to the car. He couldn't have done it on purpose. She had enemies, and she wouldn't put it past some of them to want to hurt her, but how would they know she was here?
What if it was a blind person who needed help? She quickly tried to erase that thought from her mind as that was silly — why would a blind person drive? Unless they where drunk and high and they hadn't been blind for that long and just forgot that they couldn't see because they where having hallucinations….
It was possible. Anything was possible.
She was only about 5 feet away form the car when the door creaked open and the man stumbled out.
"What da fucking?! Who punt thrat there?" the man said with a confused slur.
Candy watched as he looked around his surroundings eventually focusing on Candy herself. She watched as the man's face contorted from confusion to anger and then a sudden fear.
Why did he seem so scared? There were times where her friends made fun of her; they said that she was too intimidating for a nice guy and should just deal with that fact and find herself a masochist.
She wondered if she had scared the poor man who clearly had a hard time speaking English. She wanted to help.
Maybe she should try speaking in another language. Perhaps he'd understand her and feel more comfortable about sharing his woe's with her and then she could get him to pay for a new mailbox… it was the least he could do after all the effort she planed to give away because she was a kind giving person and no one was allowed to walk all over her with out paying her back.
***
He was trying to gather thoughts in his head
Shit why was she staring at him like that? Maybe she new that he stole this car and was drunk as hell. What if she called the police?! He'd better get out of here before she called the Pigs on him. Dame Pigs! He just got them off his back and now she had to go and call them! He remembered the forest he saw earlier and hoped that there was some reception and that his athletic but wobbly legs would take him far enough away from the bitch.
He felt for his cell and smiled
He didn't forget it.
"ha ha!" he said and grinned at her.
***
The man started to run and then tripped. He quickly got up again and this time ran like a mad man. Candy just stood there and watched him run into the forest.
He was a really fast runner. How was she going to go after him and make him pay for the mail box... and help him?
She walked over to the car. Since he couldn't speak English anyway she would find out who he was through his car. She went over to the open door and what she saw made her blood boil.
There where beer bottles everywhere... and Makeup? The Makeup was spread around the front of the passenger seat and there was still a stick of perfectly good lipstick with a really nice deep red hue open and ruined all over the upholstery.
What the hell was wrong with this person? That drunken bastard! He wasn't having problems with a new language; the idiot was drunk and—what? Putting makeup on while driving?
"That gay, drunken, looser fucker!" She screamed, then giggled at the image her comment evoked.
She giggled into the house, picked up the phone and began to dial 911.
