To Wait

I go to sleep wondering why
Why now
I loved him and yet he still left
How can a person throw away the one person that truly loved them?
I think it’s barbaric
I would never do that
And yet I still let him go
The one thing that kept me alive
The thing I wished in the night would never go away
And that I would wake up soon
So I could hear his sweet voice
I dreamed of him night after night
And thought of only him
Sounding almost obsessed
But I didn’t let that get in my way
I still have dreams I hope to come true
But how can you hope after the one thing that made to really believe
Went away
He promised
And broke it
I promised
And I still love him
I always will love him
The thing that keeps me alive now is curiosity of the future
For when we meet again
I want to know would he change
Would I change?
Would I still love him?
Would he love me at all?
Tears I cry at night
Thinking did I try
Now it over like the last few other time
I got over it once I can do it again
