With messed up waves
Can’t think straight
About to cave
I think I know you
I may be wrong
What do I know?
Nothing, all along
You say sweet things
Then turn to dirt
Rip me up
Make me hurt
I don’t understand
Maybe it’s me
Do I really not get it?
It’s got to be
How can I prove I love you?
I slit my flesh to bare the pain
The pain you cause every time ‘I’m to blame’
I wish I could tear myself straight open
Let you have a look
Give you words unspoken
Let you read me just like a book
Maybe then
You’ll read my thoughts
You’ll really see
How much
I truly love thee.
