For all Eternity
This started out as a project for my class and now has become what you see before you. I warn you, I am not quick to update for my schedule is most full!
For all Eternity
“The world is a dark and desolate place. So much is wrong and not enough right. Chaos, Misery and Pain have become my dearest and closest friends despite their ways. The world is broken and no one can fix it. Never again shall the races live in harmony as they once did. That peace is forever forgotten.”
Slowly, Dez Martine turned her back to the fading evening sun. As she made her way through the ruins of what was once Washington D.C, Pain, a demon of unparalleled strength glided over to the young girl. As he approached, a small furry head poked its head out from the demon’s billowing black cloak.
“Why Dez! You look so unhappy! Why? It’s going to be a beautiful, clear night! Perfect for hunting! Cheer up!” Misery exclaimed, jumping out from Pain’s cloak. “Ah! Smell that wonderful night air! So many meat bags just waiting for me to eat them!” Misery scampered off into the night, howling the werewolf’s hunting cry.
“He has far too much energy.” Chaos’ vampiric aura filled Dez’s senses as he wrapped his arms around the girl’s slim waist.
“How long have you all been watching me?” Dez asked, no trace of annoyance in her voice.
“Quite sometime. Tell me love, what where you pondering amidst the ruins of your capital?”
“I’ve just been thinking. Always will the humans now be hunted as prey by the likes of yours, Pain’s and Misery’s kind. Never again will they live in peace. The time when humans ruled over all is long over. They are now the minority.”
“And you, even more a minority my vhisutua. Not a vampire, not a demon and not a human. No race will accept you for what you are.” Pain gracefully swept over to the pair and laid a gentle kiss on Dez’s cheek. “Only us, banished from our kind can truly accept you. We will protect you from all those who would harm you.”
“Thanks guys but,” Dez pushed herself away from the vampire and demon. “I think I can take care of myself.” It was me, after all, who destroyed this miserable little city.” She scoffed, kicking a small piece of debris.
“well you had to. Otherwise, those mean men in the tanks would have vaporized you! You even told them that you surrendered! It was mean of them to shoot at you.” Misery whined as he came bounding back form his hunt. “Hey Dezi, tell me a story!” the pup demanded, jumping into Dez’s arms.
“We really must keep moving. Our clans are likely to be on our trail now that Destruction over there demolished the city.” Pain pointed out as he began to walk.
“You are correct Pain. We have come for your hide and the girl’s!” Suddenly, demons began to appear, effectively surrounding the quartet.
“Damn! We weren’t fast enough! Those damnable demons got here first!” Morbis, the ashen leader of a massive vampiric army cried. Within moments, a full scale war had broken out between the species.
“Let’s go now before the morons realize that we were their target and not each other.” Chaos said, ushering Dez away from the battle while Pain took on the demon leader..
“Oh no you don’t!” Morbis cried and attacked Chaos with all his might, sending him flying. “You’re all mine now girl!” Morbis said advancing upon Dez. In an effort to protect his love, Chaos threw himself at the vampire leader, knocking him off his feet.
“Run Dez! Get away while you can!” Chaos shouted. Dez turned to face Chaos.
“I’m not called Destruction for nothing Chaos.” Instead of heading the vampire’s words, Dez walked calmly forward. “There is a devil inside of me and he’s not too happy that you’ve woken him. Now you will all know why I am called Destruction!” As she raised her hands, a blinding black surrounded the area. Complete silence ruled for a few moments before an explosion rocketed the already devastated city. When the dust and debris cleared, only a crater was left where the battle field had once been. Dez turned to the two remaining enemy leaders held in place by Pain and Chaos. In a voice not her own, Dez told the leaders, “I am the God of Pain, Misery and Chaos! And all those who fail to bow before me will know my wrath! Take that message back to your leaders.” She said returning the shivering cowards before her to their rightful places. “Shall we go now gentlemen?”
