Sanity
Sanity
My sanity is gone
I see you there, when you can’t be.
Never again will I see you or hold you in my arms.
My love for you is eternal.
You left me and never came back.
When I got the phone call I cried a whole river.
Your smiling face can never be seen again.
Though my sanity is quickly leaving
I see you everywhere I turn
I look into the mirror and there you are behind me
I can’t escape
I go to the grocery store and there you are helping me
My sanity
My mind is almost gone now
Even if I’m crazy, it no longer matters
Because you aren’t here anymore
They come to take me away
Tell me I am a danger to society
But it doesn’t matter
You are my sanity and my sanity is gone.
