To kill a family

Prologue

Savah rushed through the little house looking for his wife, frantic to get to her in time. "AYA, WHERE ARE YOU?" He yelled opening doors with a force that could bring down a house. "In my room Koi." Came the response from a room down the hall. Releife passed through Savah as he walked into his wife's room and watched as she carefully brushed her hair. "Aya, you fool. How could you have William kill the Vampire queen? A war has started Aya. we have to go."

Aya was a beautiful elf with the grace of a thousand angels. Her gray eyes were expressive and gorgeous and her body long and trim. Her golden hair was long and fell gracefully down her back. She was the envy of every elf in the village. But with beauty comes vanity, and pride. Aya, though the most beautiful elf in the village, wanted no one's beauty to surpass her own and so ordered all who she believed to be beautiful, killed.

"No one can surpass my beauty. I must be the envy of the world. She should have died when she had been born." Savah glared at his wife and grabbed her arm, ignoring as she groaned in pain. "You are a vein creature, one who should not have been allowed to live. But I came to care for you and I have sworn to protect you, and protect you I will. I am surprised you have not done away with William. Get up we are leaving." Aya nodded and followed her husband out of the burning village. "Koi, I will place a spell on you, one to prevent you from remembering, one to keep you as you were when I first came to love you. It is for your own safety." Aya let her tears fall as she begged her husband to reconsider, but Savah stood by what he had said, and removed every memory of her life. "I am sorry Koi, it is for the best." And with one last kiss, left her alone and asleep on the forest floor. In due time she would be found and in due time he would go for her. All in due time.

Chapter One

"The time has come to strike those against us and bring fear to the hearts of humans who have denied us our righful place for too long." Cheer rose high into the night air as every supernatural being gathered looked on in hopes of a better future. "I say nay." Every face turned to the one who dared speak against lord Savah. "And who are you to deny us such a fate?" Savah spoke with a voice that made all creatures shiver with fear. "I am William, your son. I dare speak against you Savah, I dare teach these mindless fools of a better world than the one you preach." A tall elf responded. He was gorgeous in every sense of the word. his long brown hair the only indication that he was not completely of elf heritage. His silver eyes bore into the ones of his father as he reached for his elder seal and ripped it from his cloak. "This is what I think of your little elder club Savah, your idea to rule a world that does not rightfully belong to anyone is absurd. You will learn soon enough. My family teaches peace and understanding. One who trains to use the powers and abilities you have and use them properly, to disagree with the influence of the dark side. All who are against us will die horribly by the hands of those they trust."
"You lie, all those under my power will be protected." William laughed at this. "Protected? Just as we were protected? Just as Aya was protected? I distrust the very air you breathe Savah. You are a lier and you should never have gained power." Savah growled and his eyes shined red with pure evil. "How dare you insult me you foolish half breed. I will not stand for such behavior even from my own son. I will strike you dead should you choose to insult me again." William closed his eyes and sighed. His father was as irrational as always and nothing would change his mind. "Alright then father, if this is the path you choose to take, by all means take it. Show your followers who they should turn to. Give the vampire king another reason to continue this futile war. But allow me one last statement. Followers of Savah, listen to me, I mean you no harm, I only wish for you to look at my family and judge for yourself. Learn from them, and decide for yourself who you should join, be it my family or this pathetic excuse for a living creature."
"So you are part of the Harris family I take it. The very same ones who killed MY wife?" William nodded and held his head up proudly. "Yes the very same Savah. WE killed the wife who started this war by killing the vampire queen. If she had not been so vein as to think no other creature could surpass her beauty, then she would have remained alive. We had no querall with her, if she had remained out of our way she would never have been harmed."
"William, answer a few of our questions if you will." One of the creatures gathered spoke walking out from within the crowd. He was a werewolf in human form, his pale blue eyes, the color of the blind, gave him away. He was tall, with lanky black hair and a constant frown upon his face. His name was Armond. "Ask any question you wish answered." William responded smiling at the stranger. "Why should we trust you? If you are the son of Savah, and he is a lier, how are we to assume you are not?" William nodded, understanding their point of view. "You do not have to trust me, kind sir. In due time I will prove myself to all who doubt me. I am no different than my father, but I do see the world differently. My father has never suffered pain great enough to cripple him. He has yet to watch as one he cared deeply for dies to save him. He has never lost a son before the child even took it's first breath, and he has never been a slave to a vein and moronic mistress. All these are what sets us apart. I have felt the pain of loss, and I garantee that though loss is hard, it's what creates a fine being. Some may turn to the dark, for the dark may have their answers. Some turn to the light, for the comfort they might need. Others remain themselves, unphased by the pain of death and those are the ones I pity. Those are the ones I do not trust. I put more trust in the darkside than I do the unphased. But that is who I am, and you are different so it should be up to you who you trust, I will never tell you who or what you should turn to, that is a choice you alone can make."
"Why do you care what happens to us? We are not part of your family." William smiled softly, not knowing exactly what to say, but soon the words came and he was able to show all who resided there, what his family stood for. "Kind sir, we care not who you are, or where you came from. We know you are all living creatures with hopes of a brighter future. A future where you will no longer be hunted down and killed for who you are and what you choose to do with your life. My family believes in that future, can make that dream a reality. Oharu, come forth and continue." A young boy, around thirteen years old stepped over beside William and smiled up. His sharp canine teeth proved without a doubt that he had a trace of vampire within him. His long black hair was tied back with a silk ribbon and his baby blue eyes shined with innocense and love. He was tall for his age, standing 5'9 and his body was trim. He was a perfect mix of his parents, having his father's elf ears and papa's eyes.
"Hello to all who will listen and take heed. My name is Oharu. I have been raised to believe in all my father has said. He is a kind man and knows more than Savah ever could. He has almost died many times to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. I am not here to pick a side for you, I am only here to tell you all of my family. We are far from perfect, but we are strong and determined to bring a future everyone can be happy with. There isn't much we wouldn't do to insure the safety of the supernatural world. We will even fight the elders, to bring sanity back into this world. We are not the enemy here, and one day you will realise this."
"So Oharu, I see you are still alive." Savah glared at the young boy as he stepped down from the small hill on which he stood. He walked calmly towards his son and Oharu, eyes shining red with anger beyond measure. "How dare you show your face in this town again after what you did to Kianna." Everyone gasped for they all knew Kianna, she had been the reason the worlds had been kept in order. "I am very much welcomed here Savah, it is you who should be ashamed to even breathe. I killed Kianna because she deserved to die. I am sorry to you all for what I have done but I am not sorry it HAD to be done." Savah raised his hand and slapped Oharu, cutting his lip in the process. "YOU DARE RAISE A HAND ON MY SON?" William was livid. No one touched his son and lived to tell about it. "His mouth is out of control, teach him discipline or kill him now." William glared at Savah before grabbing his son and turning to walk away. "Remember, stand against us and die, come with us and you will see the future you have wished for." and with that last statement William and Oharu vanished in a flash of light.
"Savah, I do not care for your future, I will go with the Harris family, I know what threat they are to us, I know nothing about you." Said Armond who had been the first to think about joining Savah for his unreachable cause. Savah nodded and turned away, all who wished to join him would follow, all who did not would remain behind and die by his own hands for their betrayal. "Come all who wish to join with me." Said Armond as he waited for an answer. No one else approached so he sighed and in a flash of light he too was gone.
A flash of light formed and vanished and in place of the light stood William and Oharu. "What has happened here? Why is my son bleeding?" William closed his eyes and sighed: "My father is not able to keep his hands to himself, even now. Come Oharu, I will clean your wound." Oharu nodded and followed his father into the bathroom. "I am sorry Chester, I should have forseen this." Chester shook his head. He was relatively tall, standing 5'11 with black as night hair (short and unruly.) He had sky blue eyes that lit up each time he smiled and a long trim body. He was of a darker skintone than his son or husband but no one seemed to mind. He was well built, and strong for an apparently fragile man. "No need to apologise. It is only a cut. It will heal in no time."
The house they had appeared in was well kept. A computer sat on it's desk in the far corner of the living room. In the center of the livingroom was a television on it's stand along with a small fountain. At the far left corner sat a dining room table and daggers and swords decorated the walls. A hallway was connected to the livingroom that led to the two bedrooms of the house. The bathroom being four feet away from the children's bedroom. The kitchen entrance was also to the far left of the livingroom, right next to the table.
"Where is Tia, I bet Kianna is worried sick." William asked looking around for the unruly fifteen-year-old. "She has gone out for the time being, she'll return shortly. When are we going to tell the public that Kianna is not truly dead?" William shrugged: "I don't know, I guess when everyone stops trying to kill her." Oharu winced a bit when the alcohol drenched cotton swab touched the corner of his mouth. "It is only a bit of alcohol, it should not hurt this much. Are you alright young one?" Oharu nodded and kept quiet through the remainder of the clensing. "William keep Oharu with you, we have companey." William nodded and held his son close. "It is for your own protection, so please do not fight it this time." Oharu nodded and held onto his father as his head began to spin.
"Hold your fire sir, I mean you no harm. I have merely decided to join you in this fight for a better future." Armond said holding his hands up showing them all he truly meant no harm. Chester banished the fireball he had conjured and called for William. "Do you know this man?" William nodded still holding his son close. "Yes, he was the only one who actually took intrest in what I had to say." Chester nodded and allowed Armond to enter his home. "Papa, daddy...I don't feel so good." Oharu gasped for air as soon as the sentence had left his mouth. "Oharu, calm yourself child, you are not helping matters by panicking." Chester was at his son's side, trying to calm the frightened teenager, within seconds. "William fetch him water." William nodded and rushed to the fridge. "I'm thinking poisoning." Chester looked at Armond demanding answers. "It is a rumour, that Savah keeps poison on his gloves, so if he ever wounds somone the poison will kill them."
"What poison? There are thousands out there, WHAT POISON?" Armond shook his head. "I don't know sir. But I am willing to find out if you are willing to give me some of his blood." Chester was hesitant. There were so many spells out there that could kill a person with a spoken word. Was it truly worth the risk? "I will give you the blood but if my son dies I will take pleasure in ripping you apart." Armond nodded. William had been right, no one hurt a member of this family and lived to tell about it. "I will guard his blood with my life, and I will find the poison responsible for this. Keep him alive for three hours, and I will return with the antidote." Chester nodded and worked on keeping his son alive. "William where is that water?...William?" Stabilizing his son he walked into the kitchen and gasped. "William...what happened to you?" William's once flawless skin was covered in scars and bruises both old and new, a persistant little cut continued to bleed under it's bandage. "You were in here for all of one minute, how the hell could this have happened to you?" William held his head down in shame. "Forgive me, you were never supposed to see these."
"Are you a fool William? I should have seen these long ago. You hid them, but why?" William shrugged. "I don't know, The glamor seemed like a good idea at the time, but everytime I get stressed or scared the glamor wears off, I should have remembered that." Chester was seeing red, whoever had done this to William would pay. "Please Will, who did this to you?" William shook his head: "No Chester, I can't say. It's not important anyway." Chester sighed and allowed his sorrow to show as he walked over and held his mate close. "I'm so sorry if I gave you the impression that I don't care. The truth is I love you to death and nothing will change that. Tell me when you're ready okay Koi?" William nodded and handed Chester a glass of water for their son. "I'm sorry, I would have gotten it to you sooner had I not been clumsy." Chester looked at the ground and saw glass shards all over the room. "Oh koi, it's alright, I'll clean it up." William shook his head no and reached for the broom. "No need Otouto, I'll do it myself. I made the mess I should have to clean it up."
"Nonesense. You have done enough as it is my little love. Go heal yourself, and if you are unable to, summon a healer, they will heal them for you." William nodded and walked out of the kitchen, his head still hung low. "Daddy, is that you?" William replaced the glamor on his body before kneeling before his son. "Yes baby, it's me, let's get you to bed before your back starts hurting." And with that he picked up his son and carried him to his room. Laying him on his bed, he leaned down and placed a kiss on Oharu's forehead. "Everything'll be fine sweety, just get some rest okay?" Oharu nodded and closed his eyes. "I love you daddy." William smiled and began petting his son's hair. "I love you too sweety. Goodnight."
