How Poetry Comes To Me
How Poetry Comes To Me
Like a no-show
Makes me wait every time
A tease, giving me hints of the main-course,
Only to snatch them back
Like a well-placed shadow, making my spine tingle
A gentle caress, meant to calm
Like a rainbow, it eludes me
Its' colors hit me like humidity
Poetry slaps me in the face
And has the audacity to laugh
Runs away after flirting
With a carefree dance
Only when I catch it
Does it rock my soul
Leaves me gasping open-mouthed
And bright eyed
With no words left to speak
And a smile filled with victory
Or desperate despair
But I always laugh
For it comes splendidly
And leaves me filled with life every time
No one seems to want to review poetry. :( Come on, help me turn my frown upside down, *please?*
