Something Wicked this Way Comes
Authors note: Hi, this is my first story on here, think of this as an introductory chapter, the next chapter's going to be much longer than this I just wanted to get this one out there already.

She would always remember that it started at the party. She'd been dragged along by her friends, not really in the mood but the only one who had a car, and they needed someone to drive. She was still sick with a cold she'd picked up from too many late nights outside her house, furtively sucking down cigarettes in the hopes that her parents wouldn't notice the stench of nicotine clinging to her clothes. the party was full of the usual crowd; boys kissing girls who stank like the cheap vodka they hid under their beds, sex in dirty bathrooms and fights breaking out over imagined slights. She escaped into empty bedroom early on in the night, curling up in the corner with a dirty blanket and willing the time to pass quickly so she could go home. Suddenly her eyes were blinking awake to the feeling of someone tickling her nose. Her best friend Trina was standing above her giggling and reeking like booze.
"Come on Hai-Hai, it's time to goooo, the sirens are coming so we are o-u-t out of here."
Trina grabbed her hand and pulled her up, stumbling a little as she did so. Arm in arm they ran out of the house and around the corner of the next street where her car was parked. She hurridly unlocked it to the sound of sirens and as they drove away she could see kids sprinting away into the darkness. they'd all crawl back like rats not long after the police left of course, they always did. She pushed a strand of her long brown hair behind her ear, halfheartedly listening to whatever was playing on the radio as Trina rattled on about a boy she's met.
'Got a big plan, his mind's set, maybe it's right
At the right place and right time, maybe tonight'
"I couldn't believe it, he was so cute, so different from all the other guys there."
'It's only just a crush, it'll go away
It's just like all the others it'll go away'
"He came up and offered me a smoke."
'I want to hold you close
Skin pressed against me tight
Lie still, and close your eyes girl
So lovely, it feels so right'
"He was sooo cool!"
'I want to hold you close
Soft breath, beating heart
As I whisper in your ear
I want to fucking tear you apart'
"god I hope he texts me.. are you listening Hai-Hai?"
Hailee turned her head slightly, keeping an eye on the deserted road as she studied Trina. Her long time best friend was in many ways so opposite from her. She had short, pixie cut blonde locks that danced around a classically beautiful face and sparkling blue eyes. Hailee's mossy green ones seemed almost dull in comparison. Hailee was more comfortable in a singlet and jeans than the mini skirts that Trina's stick thin body seemed, at times, to live in. She always had something to say, some little melodrama in her life to analyze and pull apart, like right now, babbling excitedly away about this new boy as she sucked on a Marlboro, HER marlboro, Trina smoked Holiday's.
"God Triney not in the fucking car! You know my parent's dont know I smoke!"
She cried out, grabbing the cigarette, taking a drag and then throwing it out the already open window. She poked her tongue out playfully and screwed up her face to show she was only joking. "You owe me a pack now that you've smoked all of mine Missy. So tell me more about this boy aye?"
"His name's Tyler, god he is gorgeous. I can't wait for you to meet him." She buzzed excitedly as Hailee pulled up on the curb to Trina's house. "I'll text ya tomorrow, maybe he's got a friend and we can all go on a date together!"
"please god no." Hailee mumbled to the slamming of the car door. She drove herself home, idly wondering what had happened to her other friends, Johnny, Leigh and Kate. 'Oh well, they'll find their own way home, they always do.' She thought as she pulled into the driveway, locked the door and stood, shivering for a few seconds before she scrambled over the fence and into the warmth of her house.
Authors note: So that was it. I hoped you liked it, reviews are always appreciated, not sure if I want to keep it up. Next chapter we met the main guy.. DUN DUN DUUUUUN.
