||Broken Inside||
It's true
Were all a little...
Insane.
But it's so clear
That I'm unchained...
She stood in the rain, cold and shivering. Her little feet were bare and the snow was up to her knees. She stared up to her home; yelling, crashes, glass breaking could be heard. Her body soaked from the pouring rain, she shivered more violently as she looked away from the broken home before her. Clutching her small teddy bear against her chest she silently began to cry, letting the rain hide her tears as they slid down her cold and numb cheeks. A boy sat on the steps of the home, staring stoically at his younger sister in the rain. His eyes were blank with no reflection of light in them; they had become dark and lifeless, just as the girls had. He slowly stood up and opened the door to walk inside as the girl began to walk up the pathway, holding her tears in and refusing to cry anymore then she had. Just as she reached the front door and took the frame in her tiny grip, coughing erupted from upstairs where the yelling and such had come from. She looked up to the room with the doors open, light poured out into the hallway and shadows were along the walls of the room, revealing every body movement of the people inside.
Fear is only in our minds
Taking over all the time
Fear is only in our minds
But it's taking over all the time...
The shadows told the whole story. A woman's shadow was leaning against a dresser as she coughed violently and she tried moving, only to sweep all of the belongings on the dresser onto the floor as she fell to the floor. A man was behind her and he was quickly at her side with the telephone in one hand and more yelling came from the man's mouth.
"She's dying!! Get over here now doctor! She can't breathe!!" the young girl just stood in the doorway, starring up to the room. She could see the woman's hand in the doorway on the floor, twitching horribly as the coughing got louder and more violent. She was going to die. The girl slowly glided across the oak floor to the staircase and began to walk upstairs, slowly and silently, holding her teddy bear to her chest with one hand while the other gently gripped the railing. She then silently walked to the doorway and stared down at the woman. Her hand was over her mouth as she coughed harder and harder into it, gasping for breath as she coughed. Blood slipped down from between her fingers and the man held her up gently, trying to help as much as possible. The girl did not cry, did not scream, her face stayed stoic as she stared. The woman's body slowly started to weaken and slow down. The man's face was drenched in tears as they freely flowed from his emerald orbs onto the woman's, now dead, body. The girl just stood there, impassively staring down at her dead mother and her grieving father, she could do nothing more then that. She slowly turned, letting her little bear drop to the floor as she began to walk, she was done, the child in her had disappeared, and only at the age of 4.
Poor sweet innocent thing,
Dry your eyes, and testify
And oh you love to hate me, don’t you honey?
I'm your sacrifice...
Yea, this is my random Ideas I got, I actually really liked them compared to a couple things ive writen, but yea, I'm new at this whole writing stories thing so please tell me how I'm doing, but not just with 'Broken Inside' but for 'The dream catcher' as well...thanks.^^
