The Dreamer
The Dreamer.
Earth, from the Elemental Super Heros, falls asleep one night, and his dreams are not all pancakes and balloons, but something far, far more sinister than anyone could ever imagine… What will happen in Earth’s darkest nightmares yet also his best dream?
The grassy hill to the north of Metropolis was no longer a place for picnics, a place for children’s laughter or parking couples after the sun set, the grassy hill was now a war zone. The Elemental Super Heros were being pushed around. The whole place looked like a bomb went off…
Flame lay in a puddle of blood, still barely twitching with the endings of life in her form… the giant cross monster (it’s EARTH, hello, did you think it’d be 100% serious???) driven by Doctor Cross, threatened to slam and kill Flame. Ice was standing over her friend, snarling and shaking her head as she tried in vain to stop the fifty foot tall walking robot. Wind was hanging from a tree, broken limbs hanging down, no sign of life coming from the broken form. Storm pushed Ice out of the way of the giant leg, just in time to receive a firm step for his efforts to save Ice.
“Damn it, I do believe I stepped in something!” Dr. Cross laughed evilly, lifting up the foot of the giant robot to revel that Storm was just now a crushed broken pile of blood and bones. Ice screamed in panic. Storm was dead, Flame was just about dead… Wind was dead… Tempest was dead… laying with a well placed arrow through his heart. Shadow was dead… head ripped off, laying over in a small pile of dirt, the head had rolled down the hill and landed next to Flame’s foot. That distracted her enough so that the giant robot could smash her too. Earth was laying there, feigning death… Ice’s leg was shattered, as she clung to the now dead Tempest, his body cold… Flame let out a small whimper in pain… she was gone. Now, it was only Ice and Earth… What could they do?
“Ice!!!”
No answer.
“ICE!”
Ice looked up at Earth, “Wh… what?” She was shivering, fighting off the shock from the blood loss, her left leg just hanging below the knee, bleeding. Earth shivered as he saw the carnage, bodies of believers of God and nonbelievers alike broken, bleeding, begging for their lives, or for their pain to end… the sky was the color of blood. The only one he could see was Ice… he had to get her. There… he grabbed her. “Ice… come on Ice…”
“He’s dead… they are all dead! Let me die too!”
Earth shook his head, “NO! NO! I can’t let you, come… come on Ice… we have to get you out of he…” The ground beside them both exploded with great intensity. Ice cried out, and Earth dove on top of her to protect her.
“Kill Elementals!” Dr. Cross said in the cockpit of his giant Robot.
“Earth…” Ice whispered his name. She was going into shock.
Earth took off his jacket and wrapped it around her, “Come on… I’m getting you to the hospital Ice…”
It took Earth a few minutes, but he finally managed to pick the bleeding and broken Ice up and carry her away. Dr. Cross had won… he had beaten them, the bodies of the other Elementals were his prizes, but Earth had managed to save Ice, and one Elemental saved was enough for him… for now. He wished he could have saved more, but he couldn’t, and their deaths would be on his hands for as long as he lived.

Ice was in the hospital… her leg had been saved by some miracle of the great Goddess. Earth sat by her side day in and day out, even as she slipped in and out of conciousness…
“Ice…” he whispered one day… this wasn’t suppose to happen, Ice was suppose to live happily ever after… Earth was suppose to die that day, if Ice hadn’t tried to save him…
“E… Earth.” She whispered, still sky high on all the pain killers under the stars.
“Ice… it’s going to be alright.” He smiled.
“Flame…” She whispered.
“Dead… all of them. It was horrible. It took the army two days to stop him, I got you out…” He leaned up and smoothed her white hair.
“How long have I been…” she coughed a bit, weakly, “asleep?”
“Three weeks.” Earth just shook his head. “It’s all over now, it’s just you and I.”
Ice shook her head and sighed, “All of them, gone… dead…” she sighed.
*** (Yes, now Earth’s dream takes on a ‘porn’ type feeling, but keep this in mind… one. He still hasn’t gotten any! And 2. This is suppose to be months and months after the attack that left the elemental super heros all under ground… all but two, oh and don’t forget, this is HIS dream y’all.)

Ice shook her head and sighed, “It’s not just that, you know? I don’t feel like a woman anymore, I feel dirty… unworthy?”
Poor Earth wasn’t thinking her as unworthy, neither did most of his body, he shifted so the growing bulge in his shorts wouldn’t show and just let her talk, “I’m here Ice, if you ever need anything, please, let me know.” And with that, he had to leave the bathroom.
“If I ever need anything…” Ice thought.
