When Judgment Rings

First Verse:
A woman stands before him
She’s purity and good.
The kind of girl you wouldn’t see
Around his neighborhood.
He would love to kiss her
Sweep her away in passion’s flood.
But he can’t bare to touch her.
His hands are stained with blood.

Chorus:
Can a demon love an angel?
Can the Devil stand the pain?
Could he lift his head to Glory
and call you by your name?
Could he touch the beauty of your face?
And escape his suffering?
Or will the devil have to wait.
Only hold you when the Judgment rings?

Verse 2:
A law man always a step behind
Swore to settle a score
Of crime that was done a long time ago
The obsession has become something more.
Training says to ignore it
Give Justice a head start
But how can he turn his back
To the thing he loves with all his heart?

Chorus 2:
Can an angel love a devil?
Can the angel stand the pain?
Could he fall away from Glory
To call you by your name?
Can he touch the beauty of your face
And excape his suffering?
Or does the angel have to wait.
Only hold you when the Judgment rings?

Verse 3:
A tortured soul, she watches
Her friend get tossed aside.
Another boy, another day
Of making the tears all hide.
She wishes her friend would understand
Just how she really feels.
Instead of telling of her love
Her heart in Ice she seals.

Final Chorus:
Can a devil love an Angel?
Can the Angel sound the pain?
Can they live together?
Give up everything they’ve gained?
Should they touch the beauty that is love
And leave the past behind?
Or will they hold their breath and wait
For the final bell to chime?
