Hi guys! This is an rp between me and my best friend/gf. Takeo, Rizia and Feria are played by me, while she plays Aki, Yamato and Yohji. Comments and constructive criticism are welcomed!

---------------------------------------------

The night and I convulse from the merciless cold... A young poet scribbled into his diary of stale parchment imported from China. Aki was just a psuedonym but now it was latched on to his silk skin like the embroideries of the Queen's gown. He owned misty gray eyes rimmed with brown and dark locks short enough not to be tied back but long enough to fall over his eyes when he wrote.By the candelight of that quivering evening he composed lines of prose, watching through to window for the movement of something such as a black cat. He swore he had been cursed but vowed not to believe in any sort of witchery.

"....Aki?" Feria was already in bed, however, the light from the table kept waking him up. "Won't you come to bed already? It's late..." he urged his lover, tucking a strand of emerald green hair behind his ear. Ever since the witch trials had began, things were becoming more grim and sad throughout the city. He wondered what the church was trying to do by killing off hundreds of innocent people. It was horrible.

Aki swore he would be next in these so-called trials where the one being judged had no right to speak if one did happen to speak no one would listen to his pleas of innocence. Instantaneously, the would be hurried to the gallows to be hanged or for extended proof of sorcery, dunked into the river; If they floated, they were a witch. If they sunk or rather, drowned, they were not a witch. Where was the justice in that? Sighing to himself, he blew out the last bit of candle light that dimmed their room with warmth and slid into bed next to his lover. Had their relationship not been coined illicit, sensing such magnitude of fear on his part was not needed. Aki placed a kiss to Feria's lips, pulling the younger being close, unable to rest his eyes.

"Hush, don't worry, Aki..." Feria whispered, his grey eyes sparkling in the night. 'I'll protect you...' Unbeknownst to his lover, Feria was a witch, and a damned good one too. But he wasn't a dark witch; he was on the side of good. However, he swore to himself that if anyone tried to hurt his beloved, heaven only knows what he would do. Everyone was always wondering why his hair was green; he managed to satisfy their curiousity by answering that his parents were foreigners, and in the country he used to live, they had something called coloring for hair. It seemed like a logical explanation, although in truth, it was because he had powers.

"How come your natural hair color does not resurface?" Had he not been more well-educated than the rest, Aki would not have dared to ask such a question. "The roots, I mean..." He toyed with the emerald tresses, watching them glimmer in the faint lumination given off by the moon.

"That's because I color them immediately when the roots show..." He felt bad having to lie to his lover, but keeping him innocent was the only way to save him.

"But they are pigmented so evenly, perfectly.." he trailed off. "How do you do it?"

"Well, it's a talent, I suppose..." A laugh. "But let's not think about it right now. You need your sleep, my love."

"Yes..." He had grown weary early in the day, weakening suspiciously. Arm wrapped securely about his lover's waist, he drifted into serene slumber for the last idea on his mind was that his love, of all people, would be the single witch this side of town.

Feria woke up early the next day to open their shop and cook breakfast for him and Aki. He felt very relieved, however, when one of his best friends, Takeo, stepped into the shop early and informed him that the so-called witch hunters had already gone through their town and was going to leave them along. Thank goodness. The "witch hunters" hadn't known it yet, but he, Takeo, and Rizia, were all good witches. The only reason why they weren't detected was because good witches usually had the protection of some sort of higher being. All they did was bless the town and the people, and they were also widely known throughout town as good people, so their shining reputation was their best protection.

"I think it's best if we move out," Aki said, drawing over his shoulders his hefty coat of tweed. "To the middle colonies. They are not people to judge by orientation like here. If we weren't so good to the townspeople, we would have been locked up ages ago.."

"Oh..." Feria bit his lip; he didn't think it was a wise decision, but he supposed it could work. He had relative in the middle colonies, so perhaps it would be alright. "Are you sure? How do you know that?"

"Yamato and Yohji have lived down there. They even own a plantation in the Carolina's. For every man that pays for his trip to the south gains fifty acres of free land, you know -- and an extra fifty for each person they bring along with them. If not the middle colonies we should definitely head to South Carolina. People are rarely in interaction with others besides their family and friends and you the amount of terrain in your name is endless! And the homes are a nice large size as well."

"Sounds wonderful..." Feria smiled, feeling better about it. "And I would like to meet this Yamato and Yohji. Perhaps we should also bring Takeo and Rizia along?" The green-haired one suddenly felt a surge of happiness and calm; yes, this would be the best course for them.

"The more the merrier," grinned Aki, making his way out of their shack to contact the men he had mentioned so they could make plans for the trip. Lucky for him, they seemed to be on their way over. Politely, Yamato and Yohji greeted Feria, sitting themselves down on a bench to dicuss the outline of such a venture.

A few minutes into the conversation, Takeo and Rizia came in, all smiles at the prospect of moving to the country. Rizia had tied his long, dark hair into a ponytail, sitting down beside Feria and letting Takeo sit beside him. Takeo was the most shy in their group of witches, with his short brown hair and innocent eyes, nobody could ever suspect him of being a witch.

"Then it is decided," Yamato spoke after a long hour of talk, raising a mug of warmed liquor, "We will mark the start of our journey tomorrow morn'. Get your bags packed, men, and I will provide the carriages."

"Eh, how exciting!" Rizia whispered to Takeo as they got up and went back to their houses to pack. Feria simply chuckled and asked them to be early tomorrow morning, since he knew that the two friends loved to sleep late into the mornings.

Yamato and Yohji dismissed themselves with thanks to Feria for the supplement of wine before they too turned to their individual homes and packed their belongings. Aki, himself, had readied a mass of items in a bundle of cloth and rope and set it beside the door for the early morning adventure. He urged Feria to do the same for before they knew it, morning arrived and the six were divided into two carriages.

Feria and Aki were with Yohji, while Yamato was with Takeo and Rizia. The green-haired witch smiled at his lover as they relaxed in the carriage, simply wrapped up in each other's arms and at ease. The journey was long and it even took a couple of months, and by the end of their trek, news spread like wildfire that the "witch hunt" was declared over by church authorities, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. No more mass murders.

With much land to themselves, they settled in the abode under Yohji's name, a richly furnished building that spread for at least a third of a mile, fit for several families. Even the servant quarters were lavish with riches. Dark-skinned slaves own equally nice shacks on the mass of territory, keeping to themselves and their overseer.
It had been a week into their settlement and Aki had grown accustomed to the weather and sharing a large bunk with his lover as opposed to their lowly single bed back in New England. Only rice plantation owners, especially those along the rivers, owned such prosperous lives.

Takeo had a large home of his own, even though he had told Yamato that he only desired a small cottage. After all, he was only living alone. In any case, his wishes were not obeyed, and here he was, currently in the master bedroom which was, in itself, the size of a small cottage, complete with a luxurious bathroom and closets so numerous. He needed to go into town to buy gowns and other wonderful things for himself. Rizia, on the other hand, had been quick to get used to this kind of life. He believed he was made for it. And with all their mansions being so close to each other, it made things all that more fun. After only a week, he and several servants had ventured into town to fill up his closets with jewelry, silks, and other rich garments.

"You will get used to it in time," assured Yamato, sitting on the edge of Takeo's bed, wondering how a creature could be so innocent and alluring at the same time. He was helping the other to organize his belongings as well as the new shipment of clothes he had a seamstress custom-tailor for him according to the brunette's measurements. Takeo looked at though he was having trouble buttoning the gown-like cloth thus the redhead made his way over to assist.

"Well, but you didn't have to get Rizia and me homes! I mean, Aki and Feria, live with Yohji," Takeo said, smiling as Yamato zipped him up from behind. He had such a small waist that it wasn't hard for the tailor to make beautiful gowns for him. "Oh, this feels wonderful...is this silk?" Silk was a wonderful commodity that every young woman could ever aspire to have. It was so expensive that only few, wealthy families could truly afford a variety of it, and yet here he was, with his own collection of silk gowns. It was like a dream.

"Hm. Maybe you could move in with me then...seeing as Rizia may move in with Yohji as well." He slipped his arms around the thin waist from behind, observing Takeo through the tall mirror. "And this most certainly is silk. The best money can buy in the colonies. Perhaps one day, I could take you to China to buy the richest of kinds with the most beautiful of patterns..."

"...Oh..." A light blush littered itself liberally on Takeo's cheeks. "I would love that....and yes, I would love to move in with you....perhaps then...it won't feel as lonely...I like having company...." Rizia was also agreeable to the fact, seeing as he had nobody to spend the days with. He hoped that Yohji wouldn't object to it.

"Seeing as there are so many rooms, you shall have your pick…unless you'd rather bed with me." Yamato sealed his words with a gentle kiss to Takeo's cheeks, awaiting his response. Yohji, on the other hand, had Rizia stay in the adjoining room, finding no particular interest in the brunette besides mutual friendship.

"...Yamato..." Takeo gasped, his blush deepening. "What...what exactly are you implying?" the brown-haired one sucked his breath in, his heart pounding against his chest wildly. Rizia had no troubles with his new accommodations, his room being just as large, if not larger, than his previous one. Their mansions were retained, in case they wanted to return to them. He didn't have any interest in Yohji too, but he couldn't help but feel a stab of jealousy whenever he saw Aki and Feria together. He wished for a lover, too.

"Simply that I wish for you to be mine..." Yamato explained in whispers, curling his fingers around Takeo's. Yohji, having not a lover to entertain or one to entertain him, left the plantation for Jamestown, the only true city of the south where festivities were held and other rich landowners met. Before heading off on the day-long ride, he offered Rizia a spot next to him on the carriage, seeing as the brunette was equally as bored as he was.

"Oh....but...you don't know what you're getting yourself into..." Takeo whispered back, though he did nothing to push or show rejection. In fact, he had a shy smile on his lips. Rizia accepted the proposal and informed his two witch friends, who wished him a safe and happy trip. With a smile, he packed his bags and joined Yohji in the ride.

"Then tell me, sweet one," he twirled the other about in his embrace, "what dangers am I getting myself into this time?" Still locked around the younger's waist were his arms as he tugged the brown-haired male closer.
Yohji took a gander at the dress Rizia wore, suggesting that he wear less. "It doesn't get any cooler in town."

"If you would...if you would believe me..." Takeo said, suddenly afraid. Should he tell Yamato about his secret and endanger himself as well as his friends? No, he thought firmly, he felt it would be his duty to protect them all. "No, none at all..." he smiled.

"Alright..." Rizia shrugged, returning inside to shed his tiered gown and coming back out in a yellow summer dress, the skirt dangerously short.

"I was hoping to hear that," Yamato replied, taking Takeo immediately to his own home and ordering the servants to bring the brunette's belongings. As a married couple would do, he carried Takeo over the threshold to the new home and into the master bedroom where he dropped the other gracefully onto the bed.

"Was it that??" Yohji gawked, never having seen any dress so short in his life.

"It's a summer dress..." Rizia answered, matter-of-factly. "Don't you like it?"

"Ah...Yamato..." Takeo still had that blush on his cheeks as he was dropped on the bed. Looking around, he saw that the bed was rather huge; almost a fourth of the whole room. The sheets were all silk, and it felt so wonderful just laying there.

Yohji had noticed womanly attire decreasing in length but never imagined to live to see something riding up anyone's thighs such as what Rizia wore. "No comment," he shut his agape mouth, turning to face forward while the brunette hopped in and he urged the horses to start down the rocky path.

"Yes?" The taller being crawled onto the bed, over the brown haired beauty to smile down on him. He stroked a few stray hairs away from the gentle curves of Takeo's cheeks to steal a kiss there.

Rizia just laughed lightly and got inside, leaning back into his seat and almost falling asleep. Instead, he opted to keep himself awake by looking out the window and admiring the view. The countryside was so pretty, he thought with a smile.

"It's such a big bed..." Takeo chuckled nervously, his legs slightly parting for the older man.

With the flick of Yohji's wrist, at a faster pace the horses raced for before nightfall did the blonde wish to arrive in Jamestown. He allowed himself to sneak a peek at Rizia every now and then, smiling some to himself.

"Big enough for two." Yamato maneuvered his mouth to Takeo's lips in a breath-taking lip-lock. "I've been wanting to do this for quite some time..."

Akuma, meanwhile, lost himself in the large fields, unable to locate Feria for he blended in so well with his emerald tresses. "Ria!" he pouted. "Enough playing hide and seek."
