My life
I finally broke up with you,
My love leading me to another
After having you pushing me away.
And only to find my family
Whispering in my ear
All about my ex...
"He's so cute."
"We really liked him."
"I bet you broke his poor heart."
"You'll get back with him eventually."
I sigh wordlessly
And just listen
It's not like they know
They're tearing me apart.
I close my eyes
And my new love's face appears
I calm somewhat.
My oldest sister is right
To hell with what others think.
This is MY life.
My heart.
I'll do as I please...
And finally I'll be free.
