Enjoy watching
This show for the
Last time.

My show.

Narrate my life
For me.

“Watch as she
crumbles. Look,
She’s falling now.”

Audience laughs.

“Can you hear her
Scream? They are
For you and me.”

Audience laughs
Lighter now.

“Do you see the tears?
If you do, then you
Are blind, for she sheds
None.”

Laughter dies down
To hushed whispers.

“How can a monster
shed tears? How can
a freak cry?”

Fake coughs play
Across the audience’s
Filled chairs.

“Isn’t that what
we called her?”

No one answers.

“Isn’t it?”

“No, of course not.
It’s all in her mind.
We are all in her
Mind. We are all
Made up creatures.”

Howls of rage and
Bitterness issue
Forth from their
Mouths, with their
Razor like teeth
Sharpened to leave
A mark.

“So many marks does
This body, that is now
Falling in darkness,
Have.”

“But we do not see
this, now do we?”

“No, we never see
what we don’t want to.”

Insanity rocks through
The crowd as chairs are
Thrown.

“No one wants to see
her. No, we don’t. But,
we don’t have to anymore.”

Screams of joy and
Laughter roar from the
Pleased crowd.

Her body now rests on
The ground.

“See, we don’t have to
worry about her
any longer.”

Crazed fans jump up
And down, begging
For more.

Their please are answered
With another faceless
Body hurtling through
The blackness.

The narrator starts up again.
