Summary: How does a clan of Vampires find their way home if they are never meant to go home! That’s what these young Vampires must figure out when their dead master keeps sending them dreams that have clues to get home to him!
“How do I say what is on my mind? How do I tell you the truth when you are so far away from me? How am I suppose to be there for you when you deny me that right?” Marquise thought as he walked down the long narrow hallway.
“The only man I have ever loved is you, Carnaubas.” The small 5’4” brunette said as he stopped in front of his bedroom door. He was depressed by the image that filled his mind. He couldn’t understand why his precious master was ordering everyone to leave him and the newcomer alone. It was too hurt full. He loved his master Vamp. He placed his hand on the knob when a loud crash came from in the downstairs room from where the master was.
Marquise vanished into thin air to reappear in the large fire lit room. He could hear all the other Vamps rushing out the doors. The young Vamp looked around frantically as he tried to figure out where the master was. He could sense the master’s presence in the room. Marquise moved to the spot where he last saw his love. But fate would not be so kind to his heart.
He moved in close to the Vamp that lay helplessly on the ground under a burning china hutch. He tried to remove the hutch but it did not budge. It wouldn’t. Marquise could not believe that his master was going to die in this place. Another brunette haired Vampire appeared next to the youngling who was still trying to free his master. The much older Vampire placed a hand on Marquise’s shoulder to tell him to stop, but Marquise did not even acknowledge the Vamp’s presence.
“He can’t die like this! Help me, Vincent!” Marquise yelled over the cracking of the fire.
“You can not save him, lets go.” The one called Vincent said as he grabbed the youngling and they vanished to the outside where the others were waiting. A red hair Vamp rushed up to grab a hold of the crying brunette that could only get one name to echo out of his voice.
“Carnaubas! He is gone! ” Marquise kept saying over and over again.
“Shhhhh! It will be okay. Marquise, you did all you could to save him.” Vincent said as he patted Marquise’s head. Marquise buried his head deeper into the red Vamp’s chest.
“We are all alone, Josh.” Marquise cried some more.
“We will be okay,” the red Vamp said as he and the others watched the house burn to the ground.
