Heart Sight
What does it mean to really know
The ins and outs of someone’s soul?
To know what they think, or what they’ll say?
To see the world through eyes of blue, brown or grey?
Or does it mean something else entirely:
To know their heart and not their mind?
Not of their thoughts, but that they’re kind?
For a gentle heart cannot thrive
Beneath a mind that is confined.
If you wish to know another, ask not for thoughts,
Just watch and see and their heart will be revealed to thee.
