Gypsy Magic

Long ago during the beginning of time and space on a small planet called Earth, magic was formed. It took many forms; shadow, prayer, science(also known as alchemy), water, earth, fire, and wind. All were evenly matched in basic strength, the welders where known as mages. Except the alchemist who claimed 'magic' to be a figment of the imagination. The gods believed they had made a grand decision to place magic in human hands. Two gods, however, weren't happy, the brothers Speri and Croxz. They were the twin sons of one of the most powerful gods, Gypsy, who had been the one to conceive the idea of human magic. As much as they hated the decision, they hated eachothers opinions more. Disguised, they went down to Earth and formed two clans. Each beared the name of Gypsy. Wanting to keep as much power in the clans as the could, Speri and Croxz odered that no one was allowed to wed outside of gypsies. Millenia passed and the clans held a deep hatred for each other, occasionally joining mages in battle just to fight the other clan. The mages welcomed the help, especially after learning that their magic couldn't effect a gypsy no matter how old. After years of wars, the mages grew tired and ceased to exist to the known world. Alchemist stayed known, but their 'magic' was passed off as superior knowledge or genious. Gypsies, however, remained a major part of the world. Passing the acient tounge of the gods down and laying curses upon those who dared claim their magic fake. Eventually, they all stayed in one of two locations, north-eastern and mid- Russia. Today they work with the Russian government to keep their land theirs and no one elses, whilest trying to deniy the prophecy that Gypsy himself forsaw.
