When Alone
When Alone
By: Traci Ann
Sitting in the dark
Loud music blaring
Depression overrunning
Hate washing over me
Those that have wronged me
Must pay
Never will they do so
Life is too unfair
It will never be the same
Gazing at the letter opener
The ideas
Swimming through my head
As I pick it up
I swear
This is the last time
Pretty redness
Welling up against my arm
Dripping to my black pants
A smile plays at my lips
I am fine now
All is well
As I sit alone
I wonder
If this is truly the last time
