Give Me A Chance
Would you ever give a complete stranger...
The chance of a lifetime?
Would you ever walk up to someone & say
"Hey. I have a job with your name on it."
Would you ever give anyone a chance at anything?
If yes, then give me a chance
Give me a chance to talk to you,
To get to know you,
Your ins & outs
Give me a chance to work up courage,
To gather strenght,
To suck in my gut,
To ask you out on a date that both you & I will remember
Give me a chance to ease your stress,
To clear your mind,
To be there for you in times of need
Give me a chance to touch the flower that is your face,
To gaze into your eyes,
To hold you in my arms, & give you a kiss
That's only compared to a soft rainy day
Give me a chance to forsake all others,
As long as you both shall live
In other words,
Give me a chance..... to love you
