Comaraderie
This is a story I wrote many years ago after a friendship was on the rocks. It is true, all my stories are based on how I've felt at that time. I NEVER use real names. Sorry if you feel it falls short...please review.

COMARADERIE
She had such an expressive face. Every emotion she felt, surfaced there. She couldn’t hold them back. But now it was dark, her friend couldn’t see what she was thinking. They had always shared a bed, but never before like this. Their arms and legs were entwined with each others, their lips still half locked in their last kiss, their breaths rasped and their minds raced. Would they ever be able to return to how it had been? They both knew it could never be the same, but they could hope.
They had been fooling around, playful threats were made then challenged. They’d both known it would happen without fail. Both wanted it, but not the repercussions that would follow, those they were afraid of.
It was never thought to have gone as far as it did. It started as little kisses that intensified to more passionate ones. Then, caught up in the moment, both girls lost control, hands went wandering, driving the other crazy. It was then they realised they could never turn back, never return to the comfort of their close and reassuring friendship. They could repair, but never forget, never return.
