Rude Awakening

The sun was shinning down through the window making the tear drop crystal that hung just beside the lock give reflections of rainbows across the room. The fan overhead was spinning so fast that you would think it would fly right off the ceiling, the breeze moved the crystal around enough that i caught a glimpse of it out the corner of my eye, i cracked one open to see the crystal twist and turn in the breeze....im up im up...
I jumped out of my bed and headed over to my vanity, picked up my grandmothers antique pearl handled brush and started to brush the sleep from my head. A quick peek in the mirror shown the streaks of last nights mascera, what had i done last night? i couldnt even remember comming home.
I finished brushing out my knots and headed to the shower. I turned on the hot water and stepped in. I started to wash my hair and pulled out what looked like a clump of dirt. what in the world? What and where did that come from? I continued to wash my hair and looked down to get the underside when i noticed the water was brownish red, i know that i have hair about that color but its not dyed so what the fuck? I reached out to turn off the water and noticed i had deep scratches on my arm and almost every nail was broken and split , now i was scared, what the hell happened last night? I reached out to get my towel and noticed that it wasnt there, a towel lay on the floor, i picked it up, and it looked like it was covered in some red dried stuff, i flipped it over and wrapped it around me. I turned and looked in the mirror, my mascera streaks were still there only now they were smirred with what looked like blood, i looked at my chest and saw deep scratches there too!
I dropped the towel and stared in horror at my clawed body. Marks streched from my back to my front, down my belly to my thighs, from my thighs to my feet. I looked at my toes and saw what looked like dirt or blood under again broken and split nails, i look at my fingernails and saw the same stuff under them.
My hands were shaking, my body was shaking, what the fuck happened to me? I grabbed my robe from the back of the bathroom door, to my surprize it was there and the only normal thing to happen all morning. I ran down the stairs and tripped over something, a single sneaker, once was hot pink and black now red and crusty.
I stumbled back to my feet and ran into the kitchen, i opened the cubberd to get a glass for water. I turned on the faucet for cold water and instead a muddy liquid seeped out, i looked at the liquid closer and with one second it spit out a chunk into the water, splashing my face. In shock i wiped my face with a yelp, a little bit got into my mouth, it taisted like....like....BLOOD!
I stepped back and bumped into the table, gobbs of liquid poured from the faucet, it over flowed the sink so rapidly and began to fill the floor. I back peddled as fast as i could to keep it from touching my feet, my robe caught on a stray nail and snatched it from my naked and shaking body, i felt behind me and felt a door knob, the door for the basement.
I turned to go down the stairs leading to the dark basement, naked and scared i ran down the stairs too fast and tripped over a loose board and tumbled down.
I smacked my face on the concrete floor below, pain shot through my jaw and face, i felt sharp pain in the corners of my mouth, i sat up and spat the cold blood, i reached up to my mouth and felt where i had cut my lips. I stared around the dark room and climbed to my feet, reaching for the light switch, one good yank of the overhanging string, let there be light.
It took a minute for my eyes to adjust. What lay before me scared me so deep that thought i might pass out. There in my own basement were two coffins, one half opened, the other sealed shut. I creeped closer to the half opened coffin and saw it lined with what looked like pink satin, a soft looking pillow at the top with a slight impression from something or someone once laying there. I stared wide eyed at this box, a coffin in my basement.
I hadnt heard a sound, blood was rushing and thumping in my ears, i looked at the neighboring coffin and saw the lid wide open!! I screamed and ran back to the stairs, i ran up and through the door wide open, i ran through the now pearl white kitchen, up the stairs to my room, slammed the door and hid in my closet.
I pulled my legs to my chest and started to rock back and forth....what happened? what did i do? how did those coffins get into my basement? I heard the door knob wiggle, then the door opened. NO NO NO NO NO! I covered my eyes and rocked ....NO NO NO NO NO! The closet door opened slowly, i crawled into my closet as much as i could, i saw a pair of boots, i covered my mouth to quiet a squell. I saw them bend down into a crawl position, long dark hair fell over their shoulders...

"Kiara my sweet? Why must you hide from me? Why must you do this to yourself every day? Have you not come to realize yet?"

I blinked and swated at the man comming twords me, i screamed and clawed.

"Enough, i can take no more!"

He yanked me out of the closet. I stood naked and scared in front if the most beautiful man.

"Close your eyes and remember."

As If against my will, my eyes shut......

Flashes cut through my head, i stumbled out of a bar, my head swimming with too much alcohol, i saw myself stumble to my car through someone else's eyes.......
I saw me reach for my keys to open my door. I got into my car, started the engine. I watched my car drive off the lot and headed down the street......
Swerving all over the street, i started down the back road to my house and saw the tree, my car going too fast, swerving too much, the tree comming up too fast....
I shut my eyes but still heard the sounds of crunching metal, glass shattering, the tree snapping, i opened my eyes i saw the tree laying ontop of my car. My half broken body laying half out of my car, blood streaming down my arms......
Through anothers eyes, i saw manly hands reach in and pull me out of the wreakage, he gathered my broken body and whispered something into my dieing ear......
The next flash showed me laying in the coffin i had seen down in the basement, i saw myself lift the lid and blinked around the dark room, my eyes adjusting quickly to the dark just as it was light, i saw the coffin next to mine and me running through the basement door to my room......

"What the hell?"
"Did you not see?"
"I saved you from certain death."

I felt my neck to feel two small healing wounds.

"I made you like me, i made it to where we can be together my lovely, i saw you at the bar and thought you to be the most beautiful creature i had ever laid eyes upon, and knew that we had to be together, when i saw you drive off in your car i knew what fate had in store for you and couldnt let that be the end of you lovely. so here you are with me for eternity."

I pushed him away and ran downstairs, i heard him call my name but i kept running, i ran to the front door to escape this nightmare. I had to be dreaming, this cant be real. I looked in my drive way and saw my car was gone, i ran down the street and saw what i feared....my car....a large tree laying ontop of it, the front end crushed, all the windows broken. I collapsed to the ground, this cant be real. I felt him behind me, i felt the shear fabric of my robe over me.

"Come dearest, let us go inside."
"How long have i been like this?:
"Three days now, everyday the same thing,you releave your coffin everyday, and we relive this everyday."
"And now? what happens now?"
"Now, you shall dress and take your proper place beside me forever."

I looked at the wreakage and glimpsed at my house, nothing will ever be the same again, and yet i wasnt afraid, i looked into his deep green eyes and his long dark hair, and thought why not, i had to die to get this, what a way to go..........
