Blood,Lust & Red Wine

Chapter One

A tall blonde teenager walked alone on a Friday night,swaying as she went.The wind blew her long blonde hair away from her face,revealing deep,lifeless eyes.Eye which had been to Hell and back and lived to tell the story.

The girl was walking home from a party,angry at her abusive boyfriend.Everything he'd done to her had come crashing down on her that night,she thought while headed towards her empty house two blocks away.Her parents had gone on their umteenth honeymoon and would not be back for two weeks.

The girl had had the feeling she was being followed since she began walking nearly half an hour ago,but whenever she looked behind her,no one was there.Feeling uneasy,she glanced behind herself again,seeing no one there but a tree.She sighed in relief but could not shake off the feeling of being watched.

A chill ran down the blonde's spine suddenly as the wind picked up.She shivered and buttoned up her jean jacket tight,regretting her decision to wear a short jean skirt to the party.

The end of school year party she had gone to had been a complete waste.She had gone with her boyfriend,Darrenn,but soon after the party had started the two began drinking and experimenting with drugs and he had very quickly left her.When she finally found him,an hour and a half later,she'd found him in bed with her best friend,Cecilia.

When she had found the two together,the blonde had been in total shock.She just stood there,watching,as her boyfriend of two years pounded himself into her best friend.The sight had been postively sickening.

And now she was walking home,heart broken and alone on a warm summer's night.But,it wasn't warm anymore.The breeze had stopped and a chill had arrived,sending yet another shiver up the girl's spine.It was as if the warmth had completely disappeared from the air and had been replaced with cold,tense air.

Suddenly,out of nowhere,a man appeared.It was as if he'd fallen from the sky.He jumped out of the sky and landed gracefully on his feet.

The girl was startled,not only by the appearance of this strange man,but of how he looked as well.His face was chalk white,and his eyes a brilliant,shocking blue.The brightest she'd ever seen.And his hair was jet black and fell to just above his shoulders in layers.He was amazingly beautiful.

The strange man smirked at the girl and walked closer.Feeling frightened,she backed away,running into a tree and nearly falling.

"Wh-who are you?"She asked in a hoarse voice,terrified of the answer for she now knew that he had been following her,watching her,as she walked home.

The man simply smiled more deeply in response and walked towards her still.When he was an inch away she could feel his icy breath on her neck and his lips loomed over it,hunger in his eyes.She half expected him to bite her,but he did not.Instead,he grabbed her,picking her up bridal-style and jumped into the night.

I must be dreaming,the girl thought,amazed as she stared at the ground some fourty feet below them.They were flying,this had to be a dream.Maybe induced by the drugs she had taken earlier.

"You are not dreaming,Audrey,"Came the smooth,deep voice of the man in her ear."you are fully awake and sobre now."She was amazed further.How did he know her name?And what she had been thinking?Had she said it out loud?

"No,you did have yet to speak,"The man told her."I can hear your thought,tell what your thinking,your every single emotion I can feel."Audrey felt quite intimidated.This man could hear her thoughts.There was no way he could be human...could he?

"No,"He replied lazily."I am not human,but,perhaps,you can guess what exactly I am."Audrey looked up into those vibrant blue eyes as the man's face cracked into an amused smirk.

Then she noticed it,pearly white,pointed and long eyeteeth.The gasped loudly in disbelief.Could this man,or creature,be a vampire?

"Correct,"He told her smiling."I am indeed a vampire."Audrey was in total shock.She had been captured by a vampire.How was this possible?Vampires did not exsist.The creature sighed in annoyment.

"Do not pay attention to the facts,"He told her."I am truly a vampire.I would never lie to you,Audrey."The blonde was too shocked to speak.Vampire exsisted?This was impossible.He just smply could not be a vampire.And they could not be flying.It defied all logic,which,coincidentally,Audrey did not have much of.

"I grow weary of your rambling thoughts,"The vampire told her."sleep now."He made an odd movement with his hands and suddenly,Audrey felt her eyelids drooping.Her legs and arms felt heavy and she could not seem to stay awake any longer.She quickly fell into a peaceful,dreamless sleep.

That's all for this installment.Hope anyone who reads this story likes it.I wrote it a long time ago on a different site and I just kinda got the idea to repost it again,only make it better.It was years ago I came up with the idea.Anyone who reads this,please review,it'd really be nice.
