That Feeling
That feeling’s returned once more
There’s no end in sight
When everyone around ignores this
When friends ignore your plight.
The feeling’s returned once more
There’s no hope for me
When this life is unimportant to all
When comfort is offered by none.
This feeling’s returned once more
There’s nothing here for me
When smiles and laughs are but a memory
When life and love are chilling to the bone
This feeling’s returned once more
There’s steel in my hands
When silver is the only glint you see
When pain is the only light in darkness
This feeling’s returned once more
There’s red down my arms
When life giving liquid stains
When stains your life drains
This feeling’s returned once more
There’s no life in the eyes
When death causes them to care
When life and love join hands
And when mourning one who has fallen
Bring tears to those felled
There’s no end in sight
When everyone around ignores this
When friends ignore your plight.
The feeling’s returned once more
There’s no hope for me
When this life is unimportant to all
When comfort is offered by none.
This feeling’s returned once more
There’s nothing here for me
