Fading
He sings a song of loneliness.
Mournful aching through the night.
No one understands his lyrics, heart or soul.
Pushed away and forgotten.
Slowly he fades away.
She dances a dance of sorrow.
A painful longing for all times.
Cryptic moves speaking of heartache.
Ignored unrelentlessly.
Slowly she fades away.
Different than their peers.
They walk a lonely path.
Lives hidden from the world.
Soon they begin to cry
as they slowly fade away.
He writes a story of hardship.
A cruel undying want.
Secret words of hate and vulgarities
Ripped into shreds and thrown away.
Slowly he fades away.
She lives a life of pain.
Begging for a quiet calm.
Incoherent ramblings of torturous days.
Lock away from site.
Slowly she fades away.
Different from their peers.
They walk a lonely path.
They begin to cry
as they fade away.
