Fine Line Between Hate and Love

While the sound of rain on the windowsill was comforting, even relaxing, to many people, Oroka found it to be a depressing sound. The gray cast that it washed over the entire city made her even more irritable than usual, and she would often just lie around staring out the window or at a wall, as if the rain itself drained away all energy she had.

It had been raining for four days straight after a week long bout of heavy overcast and cold. Oroka had refused to get out of bed for school, dragging herself from the sanctuary of her blankets for the bathroom and a few times for something to eat out of a snack box. Her mother didn’t have anything to say to her daughter, spending her time in her room or the chair in the living room, hardly moving and never talking.

A couple days ago Oroka had emerged from her room and her mother was nowhere to be found in the small apartment, her coat and shoes gone and no note to be found. Non-plused, the teen retreated back to her room and shut her door once again.

On the fifth day of the raining spell, Oroka didn’t even bother to drag herself out of bed to look out the window, she could hear that damnable thumping against the cold glass. She shut her eyes and tried to will herself back to sleep, drifting in and out of a disoriented haze to the sound of the rain outside.

The sudden noise of the front door shutting, loud in the still apartment, jerked the blonde out of her unsleep and sent her entire body taunt with a sudden surge of adrenaline and panic. Unable to tell if she was awake or still in a half-dream, and not even sure of where she was at the moment, she laid under the blankets, ears straining for any kind of noise.

Heavy footfalls meandered around the entry and living room, far different from her mother’s own light shuffling. The footsteps moved towards her room and she felt her body start to overload on its own readiness to fight or flee, tense and still under the blankets. The door pushed open, slowly, and she could hear the barely audible creak of the hinges.

“You in here, babe?” an infuriatingly familiar voice called out softly, and to her annoyance Oroka felt relief surge through her as quickly as panic had.

The footsteps moved across the room, accompanied by the rustling and soft creaking of heavy fabric, stopping right by her bedside. The heavy quilt was pulled back, Oroka glaring irritably up at who it was that dared disturb her sloth-like lazing, huddled into the plush pillow and sheets. The dark haired Brit grinned down at her, his damp black jean jacket pulled over his school uniform. “Looky here what I found,” he purred in his foreign accent, dropping the corner of the blanket when she swatted for him.

“Go away, jackass,” she growled, dragging the blankets back over her head, shrieking when they and the sheets were all grabbed up at once and yanked off of her in a grand swirl of fabric. She curled up into a tight ball, glaring hatefully at the grinning teen and clutching at her pajama top.

“Don’t be like that, babe, you haven’t been to school in days and I was worried about you,” he smirked and rolled the linen into a ball in his arms, tossing it into the laundry basket in the corner of the room, “You sick or something?”

Glaring, Oroka sat up and seized her pillow, pulling it back over her head, “Osric, I swear to GOD, I’ll…” She trailed off and let herself slump tiredly, contenting herself with merely glaring.

Chuckling, Osric shrugged himself out of his jacket, draping it over the back of the chair tucked under her small desk, casually unbuttoning the top collar of his school jacket, “Poor thing, you are sick,”

“Shut up, you know how I feel when it rains,” the blonde girl hugged her plush pillow to her chest, wrapping herself around it and burying her chin into the fluffiness.

“Mm-hmm… When was the last time you ate,” the teen began to wander around the room, scooping up scattered clothes and books and papers, tucking them away into their proper places. That earned him a blink and confused, wary look, at which he grinned, “You know, food, eat?”

She scowled and snarled under her breath, too tired to do anything else, “I know what you mean, don’t be a fuck. I had a snack yesterday,”

“Good, I’ll go make you something,” he called out in a chipper voice, skittering out of the room before Oroka really threw something at him.

“Dammit, do you have to get into everything?!” she climbed off the bed and stumbled a bit on aching legs, catching herself on the doorframe and glaring as Osric helped himself to the kitchen and began to pull out pots and food, happily ignoring her and humming to himself. Oroka rolled her eyes and flopped out on the couch, crossing arms over her chest and staring at the TV, adamantly ignoring her childhood companion in the kitchen.

Soon the smells of beef and curry were filling the apartment, and Oroka’s stomach let out a loud, demanding growl at the scent. Forcing herself to ignore the boy, she hunched further down into the couch and her scowl deepened. Just as her face was starting to cramp with the sheer force of her too tired muscles trying to keep up with the grudge that she demanded be kept on the mere basis of who was in her house but not having the energy to sustain the emotional or physical requirements, a tray was set over her head and into her lap, a plate of beef curry and a cup of hot tea on it.

“Bon appetit, or something like that,” Osric flopped out next to her, propping his feet on the coffee table and draping an arm over the back of the couch, smiling at the girl.

Oroka stared at the tray in her lap, picking up the spoon laid out next to the plate and prodding experimentally at the pile of steaming food. “I didn’t poison it or anything,” he said, voice softening to a tone like they really were friends and not just someone Oroka tolerated simply because she’d known him since he moved to her hometown when they were in preschool.

She mumbled something he couldn’t make out, but began to eat the curry and rice anyways. He watched with a little satisfied smile as she ate, snuggling himself into the couch and watching her over his arm. Oroka kept her eyes fixed on the plate and brows knit in a scowl, but her body was relaxed, all traces of the adrenaline in her blood washed away.

Reaching over, Osric curled a stray strand of blonde hair around his finger, tugging on it gently. Ice green eyes flicked up to glare at him briefly and she pulled her head away, hair slipping from his grasp. Osric just smiled softly and laid his hand on the back of the couch close to her neck. “Aren’t you supposed to be in school right now,” Oroka glanced over out of the corner of her eye, arching a brow.

He just shrugged and smirked, reaching over and trailing the back of his fingers down her cheek, “So should you, Orca, but look where you are,”

Jerking her face away, Oroka slammed the tray on the coffee table, the cup of tea sloshing and spilling, plate clattering as it jumped. Before she could stand and walk away Osric was pressed up against her, nuzzling her neck and purring softly, “Don’t be like that, babe,”

“Osric, get off of me!” she grabbed hold of his collar and shoved him away, scrambling off of the couch. He let her push him off, watching as she circled away and stomped across the room, slamming the bathroom door behind her.

“You’d better be gone when I get out!” she bellowed through the door, and he just chuckled and got himself comfortable again, listening as a few minutes later the shower turned on and steam seeped from under the door.

After another few minutes of silence filled only with the sounds of water rushing through pipes Osric peeled himself off of the couch and strode to the bathroom, stripping out of his uniform as he walked. Kicking his shorts off and pushing the door open, a heavy wall of steam pushed out, beyond in the haze a pile of rumpled clothes and opaque shower curtain.

Silent and careful the teen slipped into the room and pushed the door closed behind him, the girl in the shower under the hot spray completely oblivious to the boy sneaking over and sliding past the curtain and into the confined, damp space with her.

He smiled at the sight before him, Oroka’s head bent and blonde hair wet and hanging over her face. Streams of hot water trickled over her pale shoulders and back, making little rivers down her legs and off her arms crossed tightly over her chest, pressing scars old and new against her damp breasts. He wrapped his arms around her and clasped her tight against him, a sharp gasp of surprise escaping her throat.

“God, you’re beautiful,” he murmured in her ear, nuzzling into her wet hair.

A strangled whimper limped out of her as she tried to pull away from the tight embrace, the sensation of her wet skin clinging to his dry body sending a trickle of molten want pooling in her belly. Against her wishes her heart began to pound and her legs trembled as his hand slid down her stomach, light and teasing, petting lightly at the jut of her hip and dipping down and between her legs.

“Osric, stop,” her breath came in a short pant, pulling her head away from the mouth that began to kiss and tease at her ear. He chuckled softly and contented himself to her bare neck, a scrape of sharp canine drawing out a whine that sent his own body into a heated response.

Hands pinned to her chest by a strong arm, Oroka was helpless to fight off the eager onslaught of mouth and fingers. Knees trembling, she felt like she would fall if that arm wasn’t holding her or his body pressed up to hers. She could feel his breath start to pick up, chest pressed to her back and mouth on her neck, hips nuzzled eagerly against hers and rocking, encouraging the erection growing against her.

Fingers brushed against the sensitive nub hidden in soft folds and hair, drawing out a sharp squeak and hard buck of Oroka’s hips, her hands clutching tightly at his arm around her chest. Purring softly in her ear, Osric smiled and brushed at her again, harder this time, pleased with the needy pressing against his fingers.

“I hate you,” she whimpered half-heartedly, crying out as two large, eager fingers pressed further and slipped into her body, slick and willing as she rocked against his hand.

“Yeah, I know,” he mewled softly into her ear, fingers rocking into her encouragingly, Oroka growing wetter around him as he held onto her.

Sliding his knee between her legs, Osric gently pushed them apart. Moaning as he pulled his fingers from her, Oroka leaned forward and braced herself on the cold tile walls, hot water pouring down her back and sluicing off her arms and small breasts, little nubs of flesh peaked and pink with arousal.

He took himself into his hand and guided it to the soft folds between her legs, his other sliding over her soft, wet breasts and side to rest against her hip. A soft whine of anticipation and a wriggle of her hips encouraged him and he pushed, moaning as he slipped easily into the tight warmth of her body. Her back arched and she cried out, rocking back against him and taking him into her to the hilt, panting and clutching at the hand on her hip while she braced against the wall.

“God, yes, Oroka,” his moans sent shivers down her skin and her knees shook, lacing her fingers with his and clutching at his hand tightly. Pressing his hand equally tight to hers, Osric molded himself around her small body and held onto her tightly, a soft and steady stream of aroused affirmations in her ear as he rocked against and in her.

The steady movement between their bodies, light touches and caresses fluttering over her skin, loving, aroused words in her ear, all of them raised the heady feeling of sex and closeness flooding Oroka’s body and mind, her pants echoing off the closed walls and mingling with the sound of water gushing from the overhead faucet.

“Osric…!” her hips rocked hard and she arched back into his arms, nails digging into skin and leaving deep red marks as her orgasm took over, reverberating like gentle waves as the most of it subsided.

He kept his hold on her and continued to rock steadily, breath growing ragged and needy as his pace became more hurried. Oroka whined and let her head drop, panting loudly as his thrusting sent thrills of pleasure across her skin. Osric’s hold on her tightened suddenly and he let out a groan deep in his throat as he came, sinking his softening erection into her one final time.

They held onto each other tightly, panting heavily and shivering at the feeling of hot water cascading on their sensitive skin. A sudden shift of her support and Osric grabbing hold of Oroka made her squeak, mewling softly as he sank to his knees with her in the bottom of the bathtub. He smiled at the irritated glance she shot at him over her shoulder, stroking her cheek gently.

“I hate you so much, you jackass,” she growled weakly, grabbing Osric’s hair and pulling him down, kissing him deeply.

His yip melted into a happy purr and he returned the kiss, cuddling her into his lap, “Yeah, I hate you too…”
