Torn[title may/will change]
Well...here it is. My first story...Please understand that these characters are my own, BUT as we progress, there will be a few creatures that are NOT my brain children, making an appearance. Also, to those of you who live in Britain, I do not. So let me apologize now for how I portrait your island. It is one of my favorite places to visit, that's is why I chose it as the setting for this horror...Again, sorry. But I hope you enjoy it! And it WILL get more scary. I promise! ;)

“How many times must I tell you? NO chocolate!”
“Aw, com’ on now, Atsuko give these girls what they want”
Atsuko Tsugari was not a woman who was about to take orders from a poor convenience store clerk. She was a woman who didn’t believe little girls should be scoffing down candy like some sort of animal.
“Just give me my morning newspaper, like you do every morning, and I’ll be on my way. Thank you” The woman grabbed her two daughters by their hands and quickly made her way to the 1923 Star Touring waiting for them. The two girls stared at each other, transfixed, and followed their mother into the car.

“Lydia! Lola! Go wash up for bed time, please!” Ms. Tsuragi yelled from the bottom of the stares.
Atsuko was a single mother, she chose not to get married to the biological father of her twin daughters because she found him to be an embarrassment. He was a British man, and she was a Japanese woman visiting England on a business trip. He was stalky, bald, and owned a pub on the outskirts of Whales. How they ended up spending that one, lust-filled night together, she’ll never figure it out. Unfortunately, after that one night, Atsuko discovered that she was pregnant. She never told him, she simply packed her bags and left, never returning or speaking to him again…
The sound of footsteps racing around up stairs startled her out of her memory. Well…I suppose that one night was that unfortunate, she thought smiling as she walked up the stairs to tuck her daughters into bed.
As Atsuko walked into her daughters’ room, she couldn’t help but think they have their fathers’ features. Atsuko, being of Japanese descent, had long black hair which she always wore in a tight bun, and dark brown eyes. Some would say that they are black, and filled with sorrow. Unlike her, her daughters’ inherited their fathers’ dark brown and red hair and olive green eyes. Well, only Lola had green eyes. Unfortunately, Lydia suffered from a rare defect when she was born, and turned out to be blind. Atsuko had always told them that God works in mysterious ways whenever they asked how come they don’t look like their mother. It was Atsuko’s way of avoiding the subject of their father.
“Why aren’t we allowed to eat candy, Atsuko?” One of the girls spoke up.
“I told you, call me mom. And because sweetheart, it’s late and eating candy late will give you nightmares.”
Atsuko couldn’t help but feel a bit hurt that her daughter still chose to call her by her first name, rather than ‘mom’. It was just a phase, she would always tell herself. Lydia probably just picked it up from one of the children she went to school with. Atsuko wished her daughters a goodnight, and closed the door behind her as she left the room.

Sitting in the tree tops, high enough to see through the windows of the small British home, sat two creatures, none like any other.
“Is that them?” Spoke the first of the two creatures.
“Aye that it is” The second one swooped down to get a closer look.
“Well? What do we do now…do we just grab them and make a run for it…or…” Before the first could even finish asking its’ question, they second creature had already began to fly towards the dimly lit window.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lola stirred beneath her covers as she felt the autumn wind touch her skin. Did mama leave the window open? Knowing how over-protective her mother could be, she knew that forgetting to lock the window was too irresponsible of her. She turned over and noticed that window, was indeed open. That’s strange…The young girl got up and made her way toward the open window. She knew by the cold air that summer was dying, and fall was beginning to show its true colors. Lola tried to be as quite as possible. It was hard not to make any noise with the floorboards beneath her creaking. She was about halfway back to her bed when she felt the familiar feeling of cold air on her back. She turned back around to close the window, yet again…Oh for god sakes she thought we really need to get these damned things replaced…
Lydia struggled to open her eyes, the sound of her sister screaming and her mother shouting about something had woken her up. She could see her sisters’ body being torn away from their mothers grip by some strange demonic creature standing on the windows’ edge. The creature looked straight at Lydia, and shrieked, a noise so terrible that Lydia and to cover her ears with a pillow to avoid passing out. Can this child see me? That’s impossible. We are invisible to the human eye! With a quick thrash of its tail, Ms. Tsuragi’s lifeless form was thrown across the room and hit against the back wall.
A blinding light had appeared, and the creature was gone. And so was her sister. Lydia was cold and alone, inches away from her mothers’ dead body…not having the slightest idea of what had just happened…

Several miles away, in the small town of Inverness, a girl woke up panting and sweating…
