Wants

this is totally orginal im better at writing these type of things then storys well ya read and review! thanx

“Wants”

I want to be great.
I want to make a difference in this world.
I want to be remembered.
I want my great, great, great grandchildren to remember my name and brag about me to their friends.
I want to be in the history books.
I want to be the best.

Can these “wants” be fulfilled; can I be any of this? If I do, I have to think about the people. There isn’t only me on this planet, there is many millions of people out there. I am only one insignificant human being. What I want and need makes no difference to the world. There are so many other lives out there and too many people forget that fact these days. To be great is to think about the people and the world.

I want to make a difference.
I want to be great.

But are my goals and my “wants” more important than the next persons? Whether it’s a bum wanting a beer, or a politician wanting power, or a starving child who just wants a bit of bread. Who can decide whose “wants” are greater? Surely “God” will decide? But than why does some celebrity who makes millions want a priceless diamond ring, and gets it, while a sick child who just wants to feel better doesn’t even get a band-aid. Do those celebrities think of the people, or just themselves? What makes them great? Is my cause greater than theirs?

Look at the night sky each star represents a life. All are different. Some are brighter, some are smaller, and some just have that special twinkle that catches your eye. Could you count them? No. Not even close. There is just too many. But appreciate them even if there is so many. Because each one is different and makes the sky beautiful in its own way. If everyone thought of everyone else and not just of themselves as much there would be a lot more “wants” and needs fulfilled, and not so many stars falling.

I want to be great.
I want a beer.
I want power.
I want some bread.

What do want?
What does the person next to you want?
What does the person on the other side of the world want?

Think of someone else. I know its hard cause it’s hard for me. But just remember there are other people with ‘wants’ and needs.
