I\'m really new at this hope you enjoy the story
Mean while Ashaura was making her way though the woods. Still in a huff she ranted in her own mind how much she hated the stupid bitch. She was so deep in though it took her a minute to realize that she was totally lost. She knew she was lost but didn\'t truly realize how much it would affect her till she turned around and couldn\'t see the spring. Her heart lifted and sink at the same time.
The fear of being stuck in the group had lifted but the fear of something happening to them filled her heart and terrified her. As much as she hated Jessie she still deeply cared about everyone else. \"They\'ll be fine I\'ll just look for a way to get us out of here\" she though with doubt.
The air started to go down in temperature as the little bumps started to form on her skin, the day was getting ready to turn twilight. The short pale skinned girl knew that after night fell there would be no way for her to find her friends. Just then a very faint amber glow caught her eye, the fire was so far she could not see the man sitting there. The though of someone being there never left her mind as she moved towards the field. Hopefully who ever was there could help her and her friends, the sky was turning dark now.
This time she moved a bit faster hoping who ever was there would not be disgusted with her current state. The man watched her move towards him. \"What could a Faye be doing in this forest\" As he looked closer realized she was trying to hold a glam spell to hide herself. The darkness made it hard for him to see her features \"You know I can see through your glam, Remove it!\" he demand in a sour voice. How could she think she could hide her wings? \"I can\'t, I never put it on in the first place I\'m trapped with it\". She moved into the light upon first glace she looked like a small human. But with his age glams never worked on him \"What are you talking about Faye\".
He looked at her with kind eyes for now he saw why she couldn\'t fly. Her wings were ripped no not just ripped all you could see was the bones sticking out of her back with a slight layer of skin starting to grow. \"Little Faye what did you do to bring this upon yourself?\" Looking closer he saw she was not just Faye but human maybe even elf. \"I don\'t even remember when they were attacked, they’ve always been this way \".
Maybe this grounded spite was just in the wrong place at the wrong time \"why are you naked?\" Ven said with a slight laugh. Ashaura realized she was so caught up in the idea of finding someone that the lack of clothes never came to mind. \"Me and my friends just found our selves in a spring without clothes\". \"Ah\" he didn\'t fall for it the only thing that held water about her story was the fact she was part human.
The glam was elfin which would explain why she couldn\'t control it. \"I need to find them and get home could you please help?” This girl was way too trusting and bold for her own good she wouldn’t last long if things were kept like this. Ven knew this well, did she even know what would have happened if she ran into the wrong person? \"I\'ll help in the morning\" if he didn\'t, this girl wouldn’t last long he had to teach her not to trust.
He didn’t want to change the Faye, her trusting nature made her seem innocent and adorable. \"But my friends are still out there can we please find them before it gets too dark\" Ashaura was grateful for the help but she wanted to make sure her friends would be ok \"I\'ll find a way to repay you I promise\". This child was totally out of her league but she still pushed for her way. She was trying her best but her fear made it hard to stay calm. \"I said in the morning I want to get back before dark and your friends will be fine these are my woods\".
Ashauras eyes lit up in wonder no one could own woods the tree sprits would never give total control to anyone. This man must own the land which was completely different in her mind. “We should get going, by the way what is your name?” She stood in wonder this man was being very patient with her \"Ashaura\" her name was even Faye how is it that this child acted so human didn\'t her parents teach her anything about the Faye?. \"You don\'t behave like a Faye at all\" Ashaura looked up kind of sad \"I\'ve never met another Faye\". Now this shocked him how could this child never run into a species as common as the Faye?
Ven stood up next to her looking a little lost she just watched as he bought the piece of metal to his mouth. As he blew a very low whistle came out soon a light brown horse emerged at full speed from the woods. Ven turned towards the animal while pulling the red cloak off of his shoulders and handed it to Ashaura without the cloak she saw his sword sheathed. Other then the sword on his hip he was dressed pretty plain a loosely fitting black pants and along sleeved shirt white shirt. Ashaura pulled the cloak around her neck and over her shoulders then tied the black cord under the hood. Pulling the cloak around her to hide what was already seen.
\"Thank you, but why did you wait so long to give me the cloak?\" Ashaura tried not to sound ungrateful but it seemed weird to her. \"Because, I wanted to get a good look\" Ven laughed at her shock even if he was three hundred the slight of a naked woman still appealed to him. Ashaura couldn\'t argue with him, he was the only one right now that could help her.
He looked like he was nineteen but she had the feeling he was older. He pulled himself on the horse and offered a hand to her, with one quick pull she was sitting in front of him she didn\'t like the position her back was pressed up against him. The thought wasn\'t too bad he was a beautiful male his black hair pulled back in a small black bow down to his hips with bangs that slightly covered his eyes. He was tall and slightly built after all thought Ashaura. This isn\'t too bad as long as he doesn’t try anything, she started to wonder if her friends were alright and if she would be able to find them.
Only time would tell if her would ever get to see home again, her stomach felt like a empty pit in her abdomen. She would wait a little while to ask for food. Whoever this guy is she truly owed him a lot. \"what\'s your name?\" she asked softly, \"Ven\" by this time the woods were so dark Ashaura could hardly see and wondered if Ven was going to get them there safely. The steady movement of the horse rocked her back and forth against him, the ride in it\'s self was relaxing. The woods started to part to revile a huge grey mansion the lack of lights on in the home gave her the creeps.
\"Were here\" Ven said as he turned the horse to the side and went around the mansion. As the duo was passing by Ashaura looked into the windows unable to see anything. The windows were very large almost six by eight. The bushes just under the windows were so thick that she thought that at any moment some animal was going to jump out. As they rounded the house the tall barn came into view it appeared to be three stories just one story shorter then the house. As they got close Ven stopped the horse just outside of the door, leaping off the horse he turned to help his companion with his hands firm on her hips he lifted her off, after lightly putting her down Ven reached for the reins an pushed the door open with one hand.
\"Wait here\" he said firmly as he walked in , she just stood in the darkness waiting and wondering why she wasn\'t allowed in. Five minutes later Ven came out horseless and holding a lantern just far enough from his face not to get burned. The sight of his face well lit looked beautiful, every cave looked perfect, a mix of feminine and masculine features, the light made his pale skin glow with a slight orange tint. Ashaura closed her mouth very quickly she didn\'t even realize she was in shock. Ven just walked passed her, he was no fool he knew how others viewed him, she soon followed him as he walked up the steps leading to the back door.
\"do you live alone?\" she asked as he unlocked the door \"no there are two others that live with me\" she only gave him a questioning look. \"But their out right now they\'ll be back when day light comes\" Ashaura didn\'t ask anything else. Ven opened the door and walked in soon followed by his short companion. With one hand the tall male pushed a stone near the door and the whole house was a blaze of light. The whole interior of the large room was a pattern of red and gold. The small table in the middle was even gold in color. The room was well furnished with two very tall shelves with random nick nacts, one wall had a plack with two six foot long thin swords with bronze handles. She felt so poor being just in this room alone.
Ven just walked out of the room leaving her \"do you want anything to eat?\" The words she had been waiting for all night rang in her ears. \"Yes please\" Ashaura almost tripped over herself as she sprinted towards the open door just to the left side of the room. Ven turned around to see a very sad looking Ashaura \"did I say some thing wrong?\" he asked in a slightly farad voice. \"No, I’ve just been waiting for you to offer food\" as the girl looked down she saw the pot in front of him had a little bit of meat with a lot of liquid. Her heart started to sink she thought with a house this size he would have descent food \"I\'m not much of a cook\" I can see that Ashaura thought bitterly.
\"My companions are the ones that normally cook\" Ven knew by the look on her face that she was not satisfied. He wasn\'t satisfied himself with the food but till his companions got back this would have to do. \"It will need about an hour to cook fully\" she just silently watched the pot as Ven walked away.
Ashaura looked at the oven no wonder it was going to take so long it was an old fashion wood stove, for being a rich guy he sure doesn’t have any thing useful, she noted. In fact she hadn\'t seen so much as an outlet, Ven watched her look around the room as if she was looking for something.
I wonder if she\'ll accompany me in a bath? She is Faye after all they have group baths all the time then why was he so nervous. She was Faye but she acted so human even her Elf side showed more then the Faye, \"would you like to take a bath with me?\" Ashaura turned to the voice with wide eyes and a look of confusion. Ven felt so vogar for asking for some reason asking this made him feel like a monster, maybe it was her age but he didn\'t mean anything by the jester he just wanted company. She must think I’m one of those perverts but she\'s Faye and should know its common place to take baths with your friends. \"Depends how big your bathtub is?\" Ven sat silent for a moment to let what she said sink in \"a bath would be nice after that horse ride\".
A few minutes later the two were sitting in what looked like a pool with bubbles. One on each side of the pool glaring at each other, “you’re the only person I know that baths in your clothes”. Ashaura sat with her arms crossed and eyes narrowed “what you though I would take a bath naked with some I just met”. Her voice reminded him of a waterfall loud and slightly deep.
“The point I’m trying to make is now you’ll have nothing to wear” She didn’t really care it wasn’t cold and that was all the incentive she needed. “It’s too late now” slight pause “I’m done where’s your towels?” Ven only pointed to the cabinet. Did she forget that when she found him, she was totally naked and then he realized that the cloak she was wearing was in the water was his. “Hey!!” but it was already too late she was gone and his soaked cloak lay on the floor.
He started questioning the sanity of the Faye. Mean while Ashaura hoped from one foot to the other in what looked like a dance but really a show of her frustration. The pot only had just started to boil. The soft sound of slashing could be hared down the hall as the puddle under her grew.
For a moment she was asking herself with no avail why she couldn’t see her own wings the only reason she knew about them was due to a few people asking her why a Faye was in the human world. The fact still remained that very few people could see them not including herself, and those who did tried to heal them. Even if she couldn’t see them she could feel them. The people that could see them were the only ones that could touch them.
Ashaura was grateful for the glam not only did it hide them but she could wear human clothes without the wings getting in the way the only time they harden and couldn’t pass through objects was when they were hurt. She had lost three shirts because of the people trying to heal them. In the end no one was strong enough to cover the bone, the pain from the sessions was beyond anything she had ever felt.
One of the people claming to be a mage didn’t even warn her before pressing his hands hard on her back. The last thing she remembered was the snap, It felt like her wings were being pulled out of her back. She woke up three days later in the hospital, Span the self proclaimed mage apologized for his actions. The energy he used was that of a fire based and too powerful at that, the snap was her left wing breaking. The only consolation was the fact that everyone that touched her wings was drained and Span was no exception, The image of Span being eaten by her wings made Her laugh.
Ashaura looked up in time to see the not so amused face of Ven, The little puddle wasn’t so little anymore and a small steam had started to go down the hall. “Do you think it’s funny to soak the floor?” Ashaura was fighting a giggle. No matter how mad Ven was she couldn’t get the image of spans hand clawing at the wall trying to pull himself out of the grip of the mouth in between her wings.
“No, but span getting eaten by my wings puts me in a good mood” Ven started to wonder, she was weird even for a human. “And your wings can eat people as of when?” She needs more help then he though. Her weirdness may not be a good thing for if she did anything to offend someone it could be her end, Ven knew this very well .The look on Vens face made Ashaura question if what she said was a bad thing. “It’s ok to say that kind of stuff in my house, but when your not here keep quiet”
Ashaura understood why Ven was telling her this where ever this was may not be as tolerant to her actions. “Where am I anyway?” Ven look at her “in Crowasha” this information didn’t help Ashaura. “I have no idea where that is, and why do you say Faye are common?” It was obverse that she had no idea about the other worlds.
“There are four worlds in a way more like dimensions the Gway is the Faye and Elvin realm, The Coucw is more chaotic a world with mainly monstrous beings, the Peara which is the world you know and there is the Semiga that is a mix of all three”.
Ashaura sat there looking at Ven like he had lost his mind. Feeling the need to continue he started again “We are in the Semiga the other worlds are rarely aware of each other and the only ones that are aware is the people of the Semiga the reason the Semiga is mixed is due to the beings like yourself that some how cross over”. Ven remembered the time a Coucw came out and killed most of his Savhlfs.
“Is dinner ready?” did she even listen to me \"if you know so much you should know how to get me home\" she thought, Ashaura didn’t even look up the information was too much for her to believe. Ven was shocked that Ashaura face never changed in expression, the story had to at least affect her. “No it needs another hour”.
“I want to find my friends” two tears rolled down Ashauras face his story did affect her and now the closest thing to home was out in the dark. They both knew it would be hopeless to go out at this point, even if Ashaura was crying the rest of her body stayed still. With quick arms Ven embraced her damp body to his with her cold back to his chest.
She was so small in his arms the warmth was comforting and calming. He was temped to rest his chin on her head she still smelled like flowers the scent of the soap mixed with a undecipherable feminine musk of her own “ we’ll have to wait till morning” Ashaura didn’t responded. Vens body was reacting to the salutation in a less then helping way he stepped away from Ashaura before she could notice. The little sweat on his brow would have given him away if she looked up, down or even at him for that matter. But instead she sat down on the floor and pulled her legs to her chest \"I want to go home\".
Ven saw this and stepped out of the room, a few moments later he returned with a small blue sliver lined box. Ven careful not to slip on the puddle bent down and placed the box in front of Ashaura \"this may help\". She lifted her head, Ven noted that it didn\'t even look like she had been crying moments before hand. \"when did you stop crying?\" \"I only cried two tears and you saw them\" and here he was feeling bad for her. \"don\'t pity me that\'s the last thing I want\" Ven didn\'t denied that he pitied her but at the same time he just wanted to help.
\" I thank you for your concern but I\'m fine now\" the statement wasn\'t a total lie she had a way of recovering unusually fast after crying. But even so she still lifted the top of the box off, in the box lay a deck of cards with the same blue back with a weird symbol on the back that kind of resembled a astrologic sketch of a scorpion. She looked at Ven with questioning eyes \"their omen cards, they\'ll help you see Cleary\" \"do you know what tarot cards are?\" thinking for a moment he looked a little lost \"no I don\'t\". Ashaura just wanted to make sure that this wasn\'t going to be another boring reading \"I\'ll explain later\".
Ashaura stuck her hand in the box suddenly she was washed over the images of the past were so vivid that when she pulled away it felt like she had relived her whole life. There was a new understanding of how much she needed to hold strength for the group that was still outside, the memories and pain only made her stronger for the group. \" I hope that helped\" She only hugged Ven to her \"more then you know\" Ven couldn\'t help but take the jester lightly, she was glad he didn\'t take it the wrong way.
Ven pulled out of the warm embrace to check the food, he looked at the boiling water hoping the ten minutes was enough , he filled two bowls that he had got from the cabinet above the stove. He handed one bowl to his companion as he walked passed to the table.\" the cards them selves aren\'t meant to be seen , half of them are wards the others are containers\", \"containers for what?\" .Ven looked up from his spot \"energy and spells of wisdom made for confused people\" the cards had helped her after all.
\"You\'ll be sleeping in my companions room, his not going to be back till later\", \"won\'t he mind me sleeping in his bed?. Ven just continued to eat before answering \"no he won\'t\" Ven continued to eat \"do the cards show anything else besides the past?\" Ven looked up again \"yes but no one ever remembers they just come back with a slightly different out look usually for the better\". This information scared her what if she was one of those and didn\'t even realize it. What the hell was Ven thinking what if the cards did change her then what, would she even know she changed what if she was different right now.
The omen cards were not a toy to Ashaura now they were a real danger. \"Don’t let any of my friends ever see them\" the undertone of anger was one of pure emotion. Ven knew she would truly try to hurt him if he didn\'t listen. \"I never let humans near them\" humans and omen cards never ended well, omen cards were too powerful for them to touch. After another minute she was done with her food \"where is the room?\" Ven stood up and lead the way; they would leave to find her friends in the morning.
