Lost....
Looking into a mirror I see her.
My hand reaches.
But then I pull back rubbing my arm.
All those bad memories of her.
Never seem to leave.
They stay as nightmares in my sleep.
How can I forgive her?
She hits her own daughter!
My mind chants.
She’s gone and she knew it was wrong.
But questions were never answered!
I knew I wasn’t a perfect child.
But how could she have known.
I was abandoned every mile.
Left alone with my bruises and broken smile.
Tracing my lost refection.
Tears slide down my cheek.
I thought I had found my way back.
To the normal me.
