Truth

He’s got blonde hair and even blue eyes,
But I don’t know if he sees me like some other guys.
I’m not very beautiful or very skinny,
Though for him I’d give my every penny.
He can be an ass and even a bastard,
Hm, I wonder? Does he like custard?
He’s two years older and a couple inches taller,
But that just makes me fall for him harder.
He’s a dear friend, but I don’t think he likes me,
That’s okay, just as long as he’s happy.
He doesn’t have to talk to calm me down,
I don’t even have to see him; yet I am bound.
One might say he’s not very handsome,
But I would steal him with no return for any ransom.
Tell me, oh god, is it me he can really see?
No, most likely not. Just go, leave me be.
