Bronwyn's Unkown

Athor: Hey everyone, long time reader first time author. I hope you enjoy my story so far, i\'ll try to up date as fast as I can. All reviews are welcome but please try and be kind*sniff* I\'m a little sensative.

“Class, we have a new student joining us today. Would someone like to show him around?”

I looked up to see our newest fellow student only to have to catch my breath. He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. He was tall about 6’5”, and had hair the color of a raven’s feathers. His eyes were like the sky after a thunderstorm, that pearly gray. I looked back down at my paper quickly hoping he didn’t catch me staring at him.

“Bronwyn. How about you show Gabriel around? He’s going to be sitting next to you anyway and I believe he has all of his classes with you. Please Gabriel, take your seat and Bronwyn will tell you about what we’re working on.”

Why did she have to put him next to me? Why am I the one showing him around? I’m always the one having to play ambassador. Me the lowest on the social ladder playing place maker. Showing the new person where they would fit the best. I hated it. I always found places for the people in the higher rungs of our little society but never a spot for myself. I wasn’t exactly higher rung material.

I wasn’t unattractive physically. I mean my body and face were fine but I always kept my dark hair pulled back, I never wore makeup, and I never really wore anything fancy. It was always a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Most people didn’t find my type attractive and that was okay, I didn’t find most people attractive. But this Gabriel was different. He wore all black; his outfit consisted of a pair of black jeans and a button down shirt open with a black tank top underneath. I was becoming aware of my unflattering dress. A pair of jeans and a black shirt with “ You say freak like it’s a bad thing?” across the front. Gabriel took his seat and turned to me.

“Hello, I’m Gabriel. You’re Bronwyn right? You have a beautiful name. It means white breasted in Gaelic if I can recall correctly.”

His voice was deep and rumbled like thunder. He had the kind of voice that gave women orgasms just listening to it. I was close to having one just looking at him.

“Hey, how did you know my name was Gaelic? Actually never mind; lets get down to business. This English class is simple; you’re lucky you got here today. We’re getting assigned partners to act out different scenes from Shakespeare. But lets skip ahead to lunch. Now you don’t want to sit with me. That will just bring down your social standing. You should ask to sit at the prep table. If they say sure you’re in and you’ll rule the school. If you have any questions you can ask me but I suggest we communicate as little as possible. It would only hurt your chances of getting into the in crowd.”

“I have a question.” Gabriel said. “How do you keep the boys away with those beautiful eyes of yours?”

Before I could answer the teacher started giving out partners and assignments. She said the partners’ names and the scene they would be doing.
“Bronwyn and Gabriel you’ll be doing the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.”

She gave us our lines and told us to go to the conference room next to the office to practice. Gabriel followed behind me as I led him to the tiny room. It contained a whiteboard, a table, and two chairs. When we entered the room he closed the door behind us. I set my things down on the table and began to sit. Gabriel was suddenly there and pulling my chair out for me.

“Thank you. Now lets get down to business. We need to …”

“You know that’s the second time you said that. Lets get down to business. Is that all you worry about? Do you ever let yourself have fun?”

“It’s none of your business, but yes I let myself have fun, but not when there’s work to be done. Now please can we learn our lines?\"

Then Gabriel did something I wasn’t expecting. He leaned forward over the table and kissed me. My knees felt weak. I knew I should stop him but it just felt right, it felt like we belonged together. Gabriel came around the table and took me into his arms. Our breathing became more labored. Then, thankfully, the bell rang.

“What class is next Bronwyn? Can we get out of it?” he asked his eyes blazing.

“Next is art, and yes we can get out of it. Why do you ask?” I inquired breathlessly and with fear.

“I want us to take a walk together. I wish to tell you more about myself. Also I want to learn more about you.”

I don’t know what I was thinking when I agreed and we went to Art. We were working outside so it was easy to slip away. As we walked the trails behind the school Gabriel told me about himself.

“I used to live in Vermont then we moved to Montana, then Alaska, then finally here to Michigan. My dad got a job offer from GM so we moved here. I hope this job sticks. I’d hate to move again.”

“What do you mean? You’re so lucky. You’ve seen so many wonderful places and I’ve never even been out of state.”

“No, you don’t understand. I had no friends. We never stayed in one spot long enough. But I’m glad we moved here.” Gabriel said stopping and grabbing my hands.

“Why… Why is that?” I asked haltingly.

“Because I’m in this beautiful place, and I met you.”
“Gabriel we’ve only known each other for less than an hour. How can you have feelings for me?”

“I knew you were special from the first moment I laid eyes on you. You were all I saw. Everybody else disappeared. When that happened I knew I just had to meet you.”

“Well I’m not real special. At least I don’t think so. Now I have a question. Why do you want to hang out with me?”

“I told you. The first time I saw you…”

“Yeah, yeah I know everyone disappeared. What I want to know is why you don’t want to be popular like everyone else. You just don’t seem to care what people think.”

“Because I don’t. Let then think what they will. I only care if it hurts someone I love.”

He leaned foreword as if to give me a kiss then the bell rang. I jumped and grabbed Gabriel’s hands tight. He let out a chuckle and escorted me back to the school. That was how most of the day went. With me trying to explain about our social structure and Gabriel trying to casually touch me every chance he got. I could hardly wait for school to be over. I had to get away from him, but that was harder than it sounds. When I walked out to my car there stood Gabriel waiting for me. This had to come to and end, the quicker the better. I took a deep breath and composed what I was going to say. Then made my way toward him. As I got closer I could tell he had a smile on his face. I began to talk.

“Listen Gabriel, I like you and all but if you keep stalking me like this I’m going to have to call the police. I really don’t want it to come to that. Please just leave me alone.”

“Do you really want me to leave Bronwyn? I will if you do, all you have to do is tell me to,” he said, the smile leaving his face. “But I really would like to be with you a little longer.”

“Well I’m telling you. Please just leave me alone. My heart was broken once and that was more than enough for me. I’m really sorry.”

“As you wish Bronwyn. I will leave you at peace, but if you ever need me all you have to do is call out my name and I’ll come running like a dog to his dinner.”

He turned and left. I watched him disappear into the woods. Tears burned in my eyes and I didn’t know why. I put my things in my car and went back into the school for my creative writing class that was after school. I couldn’t get Gabriel out of my head. He haunted my every thought. I would find myself writing poems about a dark haired god who came and tempted me. From there I moved on to a love poem and then a poem about a mystery man who came and broke women’s hearts. I was still thinking about him on the way out to my car. That’s probably why I didn’t hear Steve and his goons coming after me. Suddenly an arm snakes around my waist and a hand clamps over my mouth.

“Finally gonna get what I want bitch, and you’re gonna give it to me, and my boys. I’ve been waitin’ a long time Bronwyn, and I’m sick and tired of it.”

I guess a little background info is needed at this point. You see I use to date Steve before he got his gang. The relationship was okay at first but then Steve started to get rougher and more aggressive when we kissed. Then he started beating me saying it would get worse if I didn’t have sex with him. I flat out refused and he nearly killed me. He got transferred to another school because of the restraining order I got. Since then Steve’s been threatening to take me, willing or not. I guess he picked the right time. I was the only person there other than the gang. One thing was for sure; I was in a deep load of shit.

I was on the ground and one of Steve’s cronies was taking a switchblade to my jeans. With my mouth uncovered I began to scream. Steve laughed and said, his voice dripping with acid,

“Go ahead and scream baby, no one can hear ya.”

Then a thought came to my head. It was a stupid thought but desperate times called for desperate measures. I filled my lungs and shouted the only thing that came to my mind that could help me.

“GABRIEL! HELP ME GABRIEL, YOU SAID ALL I HAD TO DO WAS CALL OUT. WELL I’M CALLIN’OUT.”

“Who the hell is Gabriel? Is he the guy you’re givin’ it up to?” Steve asked yanking me up by my hair.

“No I’m just her future lover.” Gabriel said stepping out of the trees. He looked like an angel. My avenging angel. He seemed to have inhuman strength as he battled the gang. The first to charge got a fist to the face and didn’t get up. The next got the same. Then the two holding me gave me to Steve and went to do the tag team thing. That didn’t work too well. They ended up in a heap at Gabriel’s feet. Steve grabbed me and held me against him so my back was to his chest. He pressed a knife to my neck and wrapped an arm around my waist. My jeans were on the ground in shreds. My exposed legs were covered in gooseflesh. I was scared shitless. Then the two males began to talk.

“Let her go you coward. Don’t you realize you’re hiding behind a woman?” Gabriel said with a growl.

“I don’t care. I admit I’m a coward. Let me guess, you’re Gabriel. Well tell me Gabe, is she any good. I tried for two years to get her in the sack but never got her there. But let’s stop talking about me, so does she like to be on the bottom or does she prefer the top?” Steve said licking my cheek when he was done. He moved his hips and was dry humping me from the back. I started crying and begged Steve to stop.

“Let her go scum or I will be forced to hurt you, and I don’t like to hurt people. So please just let Bronwyn go.” Gabriel said walking closer.

“Scum! You steal my girl and you call me scum. Oh that’s rich, really rich. Listen buddy…” Steve never finished his sentence. With lightning speed Gabriel grabbed Steve’s wrist and wrenched it away from my throat. I can’t describe anything after that because I was on the ground in the fetal position with my eyes shut tight. Then suddenly an arm was wrapping itself around me. I screamed and flailed my arms at my attacker.

“Bronwyn it’s okay, it’s me Gabriel. Don’t worry it’s just me. Nothings going to hurt you.”

I snuggled closer to him. I could feel his voice rumble through his shirt. His warmth was comforting. He was fiddling around with something, I heard a jingle of keys and saw that he was holding me up with one arm and unlocking my car door with the other. When it was unlocked Gabriel pulled out my blanket I kept for emergencies and wrapped it around me. He tilted my head up and looked into my eyes.

“Are you okay honey, did he hurt you? God if he’d raped you I would’ve killed him.” He said hugging me close. For some strange reason I felt as if I belonged there. It felt like his arms were molded just to fit me. I looked up into his face and caught his eyes.

“I don’t think I can spend the night alone. My parents wont be home for about three months. Would you please come stay with me?” I asked, my voice cracking.

“Baby I’d follow you anywhere. Lets go to your house and get you a hot shower.”

The drive to my house was spent in basic silence with the oldies station playing love songs on the radio. My house is about a mile off the road and surrounded by a thick apple orchard. It was a simple two-story house. My parents lived on the first floor I lived on the second. We got out of the car and walked to the front door. Zeus, my Irish wolfhound, met us. He usually barked and growled at strangers but he went right up to Gabriel to say hello.

“He seems to really like you. That’s strange, he usually doesn’t like new people.”

“I just get along with animals. He’s certainly a beautiful animal. What breed is he?”

“Zeus is an Irish Wolfhound. His kind is very hard to find. It took me half a year to find him.”

“Where is your room?” Gabriel asked looking around.

“I live upstairs. The whole top floor is like an apartment.”

“Well let’s get you a hot shower.” Said Gabriel picking me up and carrying me up the stairs.

“Actually I have a bathtub not a shower.”

“Well then lets get your bath water running.”

He set me down on my couch and walked off toward my bathroom. I heard water running and got up to go to my bedroom and put on my bathrobe. I undressed and was about to throw my robe on when I looked up and saw Gabriel coming. I tried to cover myself quickly but I wasn’t fast enough, so he got an eyeful.

“Hey Bronwyn which bubble bath do you want, the lavender or the lilac?” He said looking up from the bottles to see me.

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry,” he said fast and looking away.

“No, no it’s okay. I should have closed the door.” I said throwing my robe on. “I think the lavender. I need to relax after today.”

“I agree, lavender sounds good. The bath is ready by the way, so whenever you’re ready.”

“Thanks Gabriel…for everything.” I said. Then he looked into my eyes.

“There is no need to thank me Bronwyn. I would do what I’ve done again if you were in danger. I just hope that it never happens again.”

“Well that makes two of us. I can’t believe Steve would do that to me. I loved him and I thought he loved me. I was so wrong.” I sobbed sitting on my bed with the tears stating to flow. Gabriel came to sit by me and put his arms around me. I snuggled myself closer and cried my eyes out. He just sat there and hugged me tighter. When I was finally able to talk I looked up at him.

“I thought he was the one for the longest time. I thought he loved me. Why didn’t he Gabriel? Is there something wrong with me?”

“God no Bronwyn, you’re perfect in every way. Steve obviously couldn’t see that. And fuck I’m glad he didn’t.”

“What do you mean by that?” I asked incredulously.

“If he had seen how perfect you are you wouldn’t be here with me now.”

“Good save boy. You were in some hot water there. You really think Steve messed up when he left me?”

“Yes I do. I hope I don’t make the same mistake, that is if you’ll give me a chance.”

“Is that your way of asking me to go steady?”

“Yes, will you, Bronwyn, do me the honor of letting me be your boyfriend?”

“Hell yes boy. I need someone to share my life with, but there’s just one thing I need to know about you.”

“What’s that?”

“Are you a virgin?”

Gabriel got a little smile on his face and answered, “No, I’m not a virgin. Why did you want to know?”

“Because Steve was a virgin and I think that’s why his sex drive was so high. I couldn’t take another relationship like that.”

Upon hearing this Gabriel kneeled in front of me and looked into my eyes for the millionth time tonight.

“Bronwyn I would never hurt you. You’re too precious to me.”

I leaned forward and kissed him. His lips parted and our tongues met. He tasted so good. This felt so right. His hands started at my waist and slowly worked there way up my torso to my breasts. Mine in turn moved to his belt to loosen it. That’s when I heard the water overflow in the bathroom.

“Oh shit, what a time for the water to run over,” I said running to the bathroom. I turned off the water and pulled the plug to let some of the water drain. Once it was to an acceptable level I put the plug back in. I heard Gabriel walk in behind me; I turned around and had to catch my breath. He had his shirt off and all I could think was yummy. His body looked like a master artist had sculpted it out of stone. He caught me staring and laughed when I blushed. He walked over and pulled my body to his.

“Do you have enough hot water to run a second bath after yours?” he asked.

“No, we have a small water heater.”

“Well then we’ll just have to share this one wont we. Now get in before the water gets cold.”

He loosened his belt, unzipped his jeans and pulled them down, boxers and all. I gasped and a blush followed. He laughed and untied the belt that kept my robe closed. His hands slid down my shoulders and arms then moved to my waist. He picked me up and placed me in the tub. Then he proceeded to get in himself. I was so glad my parents had bought me a large tub per my request. I moved over and Gabriel sat next to me. I picked up the remote that was next to the tub and turned on my sound system. I had Michael Bublé disc in. I loved his voice; it was like Dean Martin meets Ricky Nelson. God his voice made me horny. Apparently Gabriel picked up on that. His hand worked its way up my thigh. As he neared his goal his hand slowed. I damn near grabbed it but it reached the spot before I had to. Gabriel’s fingers did their magic in a wonderful way. Oh god how did he learn to do THAT?

“Oh god Gabriel stop, stop,” I moaned, and to my surprise he did.

“Do you want me to stop Bronwyn? I will if you really want to.”

“God no Gabriel. Don’t stop.” Then his fingers returned to their ministrations. Every nerve in my body was on fire, and the origin seemed to center around Gabriel’s fingers. The fire built up as if someone were stoking it, that person was Gabriel. It built up to the point of where I thought I would explode. Then I did, firework after firework burst behind my eyelids and I felt as if I were flying. When I fell back to Earth and opened my eyes Gabriel was looking at me.

“I take it you are new to this sensation?” he asked.

“Yes, that was wonderful.” I said catching my breath. He then began washing me. He handled me as if I were glass. When my cleaning was finished I repaid the favor. By the time we were both clean and dry and I had found some pants for Gabriel to wear it was one in the morning.

The next problem we faced was where would he sleep? My couch was in really bad shape and the floor was out of the question. The only place left was my bed. I wasn’t completely opposed to the idea but I didn’t want to give Gabriel the wrong idea. Then Gabriel made the decision.

“We can share the bed, but we can sleep head to feet. That way neither of us will be tempted.”

“Honestly Gabriel, I think I’d be tempted no matter what.”

“You think I’m any different Bronwyn? Do you know how hard it is for me not to just pick you up and take you on your bed right now?”

Then, just to prove his point, he strode across the room and pinned me to a wall. His hands found their way to my breasts, his mouth was on mine and his knee was between my legs. All of a sudden the doorbell rang.
“Gabriel I need to answer the door.” Nothing happened. “Gabriel you’re scaring me please let me answer the door.”

He pulled himself away quickly.

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry Bronwyn, please forgive me.”

“I forgive you, but will you come with me to answer the door please?” I collected myself and made my way to the door. Zeus was already there, barking his head off. The doorbell rang once again.

“Hold your horses, god, I’m on my way. Zeus sit!”

I yanked open the door only to see the most popular guy at my school standing on my doorstep. He was the middle line backer on the football team. His name was Josh Stewardson and he stood about 6’ 2” and had blonde hair. He was a hit with the girls and an idol to the guys, and here he was at my house. He flashed me his smile and started to speak.

“Hello Bronwyn, how are you on this fine evening, or morning actually?”

“Um well… I’m fine Josh, but what are you doing here?” I asked, realizing how revealing my robe was.

“I came to give you something.” He said with a mysterious smile.

“To give me something? What on Earth would you give me?” His answer made my breathing shallow.

“Why a kiss of course.” Then he started to lean towards me. Gabriel spoke from behind me.

“Hello Joshua, it’s been a long time. Might I ask what you’re planning on doing to my girlfriend?”

Josh swallowed hard before he answered.

“Oh… hello Gabriel. I didn’t know you were in town.”

“Gabriel how do you know Josh?” I asked in confusion.

“Let’s just say we had a few run ins at some family gatherings.” Gabriel said wrapping his arms around me.

“You’re related? There’s really no resemblance whatsoever.”

“We’re second cousins. His mother married my mom’s nephew,” explained Gabriel.

“Oh… okay then. Well good night you two, I need to get some sleep. Gabriel make sure your second cousin gets off okay then come back upstairs.” I then made my way up the stairs but I stopped at the top to listen to Josh and Gabriel’s conversation.

“What are you doing here Joshua?” Gabriel asked in a dangerous tone.

“Please Gabe it’s the 21st century for god’s sake. Call me Josh.” Said Josh with a smile in his voice.

“Very well, but you will call me Gabriel and only Gabriel. Now, why are you here?”

“You know why I’m here. I’ve gone to school with Bronwyn for three years. You think I didn’t know what she was. I was going to welcome her to our circle but you seem to have beaten me to the little bitch.”

I heard a slap and (was that a growl) Josh cry out in pain. Then the conversation continued.

“You will keep a civil tongue in Bronwyn’s house. You will not dishonor her or turn her, she is mine, I stake my claim now and any who oppose it shall have to face me. You go back to your den and tell your family that.”

“I staked my claim years ago. She is mine by rite and you are just trying to muscle in. I will not be denied my right to a good breeder.”

There was another slap sound and yet another cry of pain from Josh.

“She doesn’t trust you, you scare her. I’m someone she trusts she can love me. You’re too much of her opposite. If you wish to fight on the issue I will gladly oblige you.”

“You know damn well I could never defeat you. I’m going to take this to the council. They’ll give her to me.”

“She’s far too good for you. You only think of her as an addition to your harem. She is more than that to me and I will not let you ruin her life.”

“More to you than breeding stock! No, you know something, what is it? You can’t have possibly made a connection in the little time that you’ve been with her. What did you do?”

“I made a connection when I saved her life and her virginity. She was almost raped and killed. For you having claimed her as yours you didn’t protect her, I did.”

“You did what! She’s mine, I’m her protector.”

“She didn’t call out for you. She called out my name for aid. Now I think you need to leave.”

“You may have saved her but she’s still mine. The council will give her to me. She will be the mother of my offspring.”

“She will not, not only because you will never have her but because she would never allow it. She doesn’t love you. She is on her way to loving me. She may not be turned but the council will give weight to her voice if she should be brought in front of them, and if the impossible does happen and Bronwyn becomes yours I will challenge you for her. If worse comes to worst we’ll simply runaway together and you would never find us. Now leave or I will be forced to make you leave.”

I heard the door close and Gabriel speak.

“I know you’re up there Bronwyn, please come down here so we can talk.”

I rose slowly and made my way down the stairs with my arms wrapped around me. We made our way to the living room. I curled up on the couch and Zeus joined me with his head lying under my hand. Since there was no room on the couch Gabriel had to sit in an easy chair next to me. I stared at my hands on top of my dog’s head, my fingers twined in his gray wiry fur. I had a pretty good idea what Gabriel was about to tell me, and all I could think was that it was good that I was open minded.

“Bronwyn, do you know what I am?” he asked with gentleness.

“I think I have a good idea. You’re a werewolf right?” I asked looking at his face.

“Yes, I’m a werewolf.” He confirmed

“And Josh Stewardson is too?” I asked, but I already knew the answer.

“Yes, sadly Joshua is also a werewolf. He has also staked a claim on you.” Gabriel said through clenched teeth.

“Why? What’s so important about me?”

“Bronwyn, how much do you know about your lineage?”

“All I know is names and locations, and for some people not even that. Gabriel why is my family so important?” I asked in confusion.

“Bronwyn, you have enough werewolf DNA for you to be able to be turned to a full blooded werewolf. Joshua knows this and his den needs new blood in order to remain strong. He wishes to claim you as his and breed you.”

“He can’t do that can he? Like you told him, he didn’t protect me, and why is he waiting to change me? Why didn’t he change me when we first met?” I said in a clamor.

“Joshua is somewhat dense. He probably didn’t know what you were right away. It most likely took him awhile. As to him being able to claim you, he can do that. However he hasn’t pursued you actively nor did he save you when you were in danger. He can take the matter to the council, but due to his negligence you will probably be able to choose between him and I.”

“Wow what a difficult choice that would be,” my voice dripping with sarcasm. “I wonder who I’d pick? Maybe the one who saved my life? God! Do they really think I’d pick Josh?”

“The council would probably find him more suitable than me,” Gabriel said looking down.

“Why? You’re nice, charming and brave. Josh is just a prick.”

“Yes he is, but he is a rich, successful, fertile prick.”

“None of that means anything to me. Why aren’t you a good choice?”

“My family isn’t of a reputable nature, I have no mating prospects or children, and I’m not rich,” Gabriel said ashamed.

“That doesn’t matter. I’d love you no matter what,” I said reassuringly. “ I don’t know why I love you because I just met you. I don’t understand it. How can I love someone I just met?”

“That’s the werewolf DNA talking. You see werewolves mate for life, but they can’t just pick anyone. Each werewolf has their perfect match, their soul mate. The connection is usually instantaneous. Like when I saw you and smelled you I knew you were my match.”

“Why wasn’t I in love with you when I first saw you?” I asked.

“You basically find your match by scent. You don’t have a werewolf’s nose yet; you still have only the power of human smell. I had to be around you and touch you before your human nose worked out my scent. That’s why I stayed so close to you today. That and I smelled Joshua.”

“You said that werewolves mate for life, but Josh said he had a harem. Has he found his match yet?”

“No, he has been unable to find his match for sometime. I believe he has given up the search and just wants his family to have an insurgence of new blood.”

“Can a werewolf have more than one match or do they only ever have one?”

“The theory is that you only have one, but some who’ve lost their mates have been known to find another. My father lost a mate before he met my mother. That’s one of the reasons that the council might find in Joshua’s favor. You see it is considered an unmoral act to take a mate after your first dies. I’m considered a sort of bastard in my community. Joshua’s family is extremely wealthy and well known and liked. He may also have some of the council members in his pocket.” Gabriel said with a worried look on his face.

“Will I have to face this council?” I asked.

“Unless Joshua and I can work this out, yes you’ll have to be seen and heard before the council.”

“Will the council let pick my mate?”

“I hope they do, but I can’t guarantee it. Like I said, Joshua has a lot of money and may have some of the council members in his pocket. I think the best chance we have is if we disappeared.”

I gasped, shocked. “Gabriel, I’m only eighteen. What if I don’t want your way of life? What if I want to keep things as they are?”

“I’m afraid that’s no longer possible Bronwyn. Now that you’ve been exposed to Joshua and myself, and know our true nature you must be turned and take a mate or you must die.”

“Oh my god! You mean I have no choice? It’s you, Joshua, or death? Not a whole lot of choices.” I said near tears.

“Bronwyn, you are my one true match. I will always love you and protect you. If you don’t turn you will still be my match. I will probably never find another and it against our laws for us to mate with those who are not of our nature. I will suffer without you, and if you run from me and the pack I will follow you and keep you safe.” Gabriel said reaching over and taking my hands.

“Gabriel I’m scared. I don’t want to leave this life for something I know nothing about, but it seems I have no choice. If I pick the werewolf way of life can I still live with my parents and visit my family?”

“Yes, but you will have to be with your mate at least twice a month; one of those instances will always be the full moon.”

“Wait…there’s something else isn’t there. My family is extremely large and I can’t be the only person running around with werewolf DNA with how prolific people are nowadays. So why me? What’s so important about me, and don’t give me that you’re my soul mate or I was protecting you from slavery crap. Why me Gabriel?”

“You’re right. There is one more little fact that I didn’t tell you.” Gabriel said before taking a deep breath. “ Bronwyn royal blood runs through you’re veins.”

“Say what?”

“Your mother’s father was adopted you recall?”

“Yea I remember, my great grandfather adopted my grandfather after he married my great grandmother. I don’t really know that much about my biological great grandfather.”

“Your biological great grandfather was the son of our most powerful alpha ever. His name was Maniel Ravenwolf. His son, Lucian Ravenwolf, was your biological great grandfather.”

“What does all that mean?” I asked in confusion.

“Bronwyn, you are the great great granddaughter of the most powerful werewolf that ever lived. You’re like royalty. You’re the female version of prince Harry for the werewolf world. Once you’re turned and a full blood you will be a very powerful if not the most powerful werewolf living today.”

“Wait, you mean I’m a princess in your world?” This hit me like a ton of bricks, I’d always been the bottom rung, the outcast, and part of the ostracized. In this new world I was the top rung, I was known or would come to be known by everybody. How would that change me? Then Gabriel brought me out of my thoughts.

“Its your world now too Bronwyn,” he said.

“That’s going to take some getting used to.” I said breathless and on the edge of hyperventilation. “I have one question.”

“What is that my love?”

“Exactly how will I be turned?”

“Darling you said ‘will’. Does that mean you will become my mate?”

“How do I get turned?” I asked with a smile on my lips.

“Answer my question first then I will answer yours.” Gabriel countered.

“Yes, I will become your mate. If and only if you tell me how I will be turned and you will be the one to do it.”

“Agreed dear one. All that must happen is that I must bite you.”

“That doesn’t sound so bad.”

“Just wait, after I bite you, you will feel a burning sensation travel from the bite throughout your body. Then you will go through the change and feed. I will be there with you and guide you all of the way.”

“Will it hurt?”

“There is pain, but it only lasts for a little while.”

“Will I still be me?” I asked with worry.

“What do you mean love?”

“Will I be able to think? I’ll be conscious and aware and able to control myself right?”

“Yes, you will still have human thought but your wolf instincts will be stronger in your wolf skin.”

“What do we need to do in order to make me turn?”

“Well, we’ll need an extremely secluded place, like a cabin in the forest, far away from people so we can hunt in safety. Do you know of such a place?”

“Actually I do. My parents own a small cottage on about twenty acres of woods up north. We go up there during hunting season. It would be perfect for what we have in mind.”

“Great, we’ll leave tomorrow morning. Now lets get some sleep, it’s already 2 a.m.”

“Leave tomorrow! Isn’t that a little quick? I haven’t had time to get use to all of this.” I said getting a little lightheaded.

“Sweetheart, the sooner you’re turned the better. Then you will be able to defend yourself from Steve and his boys and more importantly from Joshua and his clan. Also once I turn you we will be able to be legally pronounced mates,” said Gabriel with a hint of lust in his voice.

“Well if you put it that way, I guess I have no choice. Okay, since today well actually yesterday was Friday and next week we don’t have school we can go up there on vacation and my parents wont be suspicious about why I going up there. I’ll call them before we leave so they know not to call the house and expect me to answer. Alright lets go to bed.”

“There’s still the matter of the sleeping arrangement. Where am I to sleep darling. Surely not on your couch or floor.”

“You’ll sleep in my bed.”

“Oh how wonderful, let us go retire then.”

“Don’t get so excited lover wolf. I’m going to sleep in my parent’s room, so goodnight Gabriel. I’ll see you in the morning,” I said getting up and walking to my parent’s room without looking back.
