Summary: This is an original story about Shinji Rikuaru and his very playful friend Evan. Both seem to be a great pair of friends, but when Shinji is asked out on a date, Evan is forced to realize something more surprising about what he feels for Shinji.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The street along the corner side of the restaurant was blank of any motion or light. Darkness fell from the sky above like a rainfall of dense humidity. The buildings along the road were quiet and void of conversation. Everything was stilled, nothing moving or taking to the road that lied ahead.

Shinji finished the last of his cleaning chores before he grabbed his belongings and headed for the entrance of the restaurant. He was the head chef there, only eighteen, but with enough experience on his belt to weigh down an entire ship. He was considered the best, yet he was so young.

Shinji’s life had been a hard road to travel. His parents died early on in his existence, about the age of two, in a car accident that caused both of them their lives. He couldn’t remember them, but he had pictures just to keep as a sort of memory of who he once was. From that point, Shinji was subjected to homelessness and poverty. He finally landed a job at a café just outside of town. He worked hard each day to earn a living. Soon, he made enough money to go to school for a while, earn an education. That had its toll.

Shinji from the point of his high school career was always teased and put down for his many misfortunes. He worked hard for his grades, making enough to attend a prestigious college, but couldn’t gather enough money in time to go. So as a result, he depended on his cooking to take him places.

After learning every way of food preparation, he landed the job at the newest built restaurant near his apartment. He became head chef without problem and soon made quite enough money to restore order in his small apartment.

Shinji locked up, saying goodbye to his boss in the process and made his way home. The darkness was never something he feared, but he sometimes found it to be a bit more dangerous at the time of night he walked it in. He could hear steady footsteps along the alley and made a quick walk to the street across from the one he was on. He made it home without problem.

The door of his apartment was slightly lit by the headlight just two steps from his neighbor’s door. He pushed the key into the knob and walked inside. The quiet room was ghosted with shadows from the window at the far end. The kitchen was just to the right of the living room as was the hallway leading to the one bathroom and one bedroom - a small home for a small person. Shinji only stood at 5’5 with auburn hair and dazzling sapphire eyes. He was quite skinny and pale in complexion. He didn’t spend too much time looking at himself, so he would never take into account of the bruises marring his stomach.

The phone rang from the corner. Shinji jolted from his thinking world and quickly walked over to pick it up. The husky, low voice came through without hesitation.

”Shinji, buddy, glad you’re home! I’m coming over…make something.” Evan’s voice was a big difference compared the light, slightly airy voice of Shinji’s. The man carried himself well over the phone. He always seemed to be ready to jump on things without thought. Shinji would sometimes get frustrated with the absolute spontaneous form of his friend, but would always laugh it off and take well to the company.

“Evan, it’s late. Tomorrow I have off, why don’t you come then?” Shinji walked over to the couch and sat down with a slight huff of exhausted air. He closed his eyes and tilted his head back to meet the couches firm material back.

“But I want to see you tonight. I can come over and we can watch a movie. Besides, I plan on sleeping over anyway. I haven’t had your pancakes in a while.” The man laughed softly. Shinji could just picture him drooling over a desk thinking about pancakes. The man certainly loved Shinji’s cooking.

Shinji sighed finally nodding his head, “Alright, but if you bounce on the bed like last time, you sleep on the couch.” He heard a final chuckle before bidding the man farewell and turning off the phone. He got up from the couch with a soft breath and went into the kitchen. The refrigerator was what Evan liked to call his ‘haven’. He grabbed a few items and began to cook up Evan’s favorite soup.

After only ten minutes, a soft banging came from the door. Shinji walked with ease over to the door, opening it to a very tall Evan. Evan was about seven or eight inches taller than Shinji. He had shoulder-length black hair and dark stubble that lined his jaw. He was much more built in muscle than any other man that Shinji had met. His job called for it, though Shinji had yet to know what Evan did for a living. Evan’s dark eyes and dark clothing made him intimidating to most people, though very attractive to women. He was the average bad boy, with a sense of child in him.

“I smell soup…food, yum.” He walked in without being asked and headed straight for the kitchen. His soft thuds were the only other sound in the entire apartment complex. Shinji shut the door and returned to the soup inside the kitchen. Evan was already sticking a finger into the broth.

“Evan, don’t stick your finger in that,” Shinji pushed the man’s hand from the soup. Evan pouted over Shinji’s shoulder as he continued to stir in the barley leaf and pepper dust. The soup began to boil quietly. “It’ll be about ten or fifteen minutes.” He turned off the flame and let the soup sit with the top covering it to hold the steam.

Evan walked over to the couch and sat down with a ruffled thump. Shinji followed him out and knelt down near the case of DVDs. “What movie do you want to watch?” Evan sat in deep thought –the deepest he could go that is- for a few minutes before pointing to ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.’

Shinji smiled as he grabbed the DVD and put it into the player. He walked over to the couch and turned on the rest of the equipment with the remotes. He could feel Evan stir next to him as the title came up and the complete darkness of the room was lit slightly from the T.V. Shinji could feel his eyes slowly drawing closed. He had worked hard for the past few days. He knew that it was almost impossible to get rid of Evan just as it was hard to get rid of gum off of the floor.

“This is my favorite part,” Evan said, leaning over and placing an arm around Shinji. He turned to see that Shinji was drifting into sleep. “You aren’t going to fall asleep are you? You have all day tomorrow to sleep.” Evan pulled Shinji closer and forced Shinji’s head to rest against his chest. Evan was always very cuddly. They had known each other for almost four years. Evan loved to joke with Shinji about his height and the fact that he reminded him a lot of a woman.

Evan brushed aside some of the hair from Shinji’s face. “Come on, it’s suppose to be a sleep over…we’re suppose to play games and talk all night about girls and how they can be so nagg-y sometimes.” Evan looked down at the slightly opened eye lids.

“Mmm,” Shinji cuddled into the man’s chest. He could feel the muscles ripple beneath him. The soft material of Evan’s shirt was comforting. He loved how they could be so close. Friends forever. “You can do that stuff; I’ll just rest my eyes for a bit.”

Evan sighed and rested his head back to watch the movie. The scenes continued without interruption. The television finally went black as Evan turned it off. Darkness swirled into effect around them. Lifting the boy into his arms, he made his way towards the room. The hall was easy to follow, and it was easy to find Shinji’s room, door left open. Evan placed the sleeping boy on the bed, removing his shoes and shifting the covers over him.

Evan took after the boy, taking his shoes off and sliding underneath the covers. Pulling Shinji close to him, he finally gave into sleep.

---

Light penetrated through the window. Morning sang through the hills around the town, screaming daylight over the sleeping area. Shinji moved slowly, feeling the weight of the man’s arm around his waist. He sighed out as he turned to look at Evan. Evan was just rising from his sleep, yawning, and stretching aching limbs.

“Morning,” Evan said with a sloppy grin. He curled over Shinji, pulling him close.

“Evan, why are you cuddled so close? I can hardly breathe.” Shinji tried to pull away but the man did not budge. He began to pull Shinji closer. The stubble on his jaw line tickled the skin of Shinji’s forehead. He could feel the man’s fingers run along the small of his back, running up the material of his shirt and touching lightly over the silky smooth skin.

Shinji closed his eyes as the dancing fingers rose causing his shirt to lift. One of the hands rounded his waist and slowly splayed over his rib cage. The fingers smoothed over skin and found their way towards his left nipple. The skin responded equally as eager as the finger was to find it. Perking nubs and pleasure sensors responded to the soft touch of a fingernail. Shinji took in a sharp breath.

“Evan, what…” Evan’s fingers enclosed the skin quickly and twisted. Shinji groaned as the skin was pulled and twisted. For some reason, the action caused him to become more than aroused. Shinji tried to withhold his pants but was unsuccessful. The fingers continued their abuse as the man’s other hand found its way underneath Shinji’s pants. Shinji pulled away and quickly got out of the bed. He looked down at Evan mortified. “What are you doing?!”

Evan looked up at Shinji, his eyes growing very playful. “Just having a bit of fun…did the joke go too far?” He rose from the bed and stretched with a big cat-like yawn. He walked over to the bathroom and began to brush his teeth. Shinji, having not responded, stood there dumbfounded. It was all a joke to Evan, but to him it was all real feelings. Shinji found his anger growing. He walked from the room and made his way into the living room.

Evan came from the bedroom and grabbed Shinji from behind. Shinji jerked away from him, “Enough with the joke!” He sat down on the couch. “I think you should go home. I need to do some things today.” He didn’t dare look up from the couch at the man now standing near it. He could hear the heavy breathing and was tempted to look up.

Evan breathed out, “Fine.” He grabbed his keys and made for the door. He opened it and closed it loudly. Shinji could hear the loud footsteps and the distant sound of muffled anger. He put his head in his hands and groaned softly. He couldn’t believe the way he had reacted. Evan always played around like that, what was different with today? He got up from the couch and made his way to the kitchen. He quickly made himself something to eat before he went off to get ready.

---

The day was absolutely beautiful. Children rushed down the sidewalk, screaming that they would never be caught alive. The birds over head flew swiftly and from all corners. Talking people lined the streets. The day was a busy one.

Shinji made his way for the market on the corner. He didn’t like to rely on cars, so he walked every where. Evan always complained when Shinji refused to drive anywhere. The only times Shinji would drive with Evan was when the place was no where in walking distance. Evan did sometimes become a pain in the butt. He would always play little pranks on Shinji. He was so very demanding, just like a child. Shinji felt more like a dad to Evan than he did a friend.

The sun beat down viciously from its corner in the sky. The hot auburn leaves fell from the Oak trees just around the market area. People walked in and out of the building, talking actively about the upcoming carnival in the area. Every year his town would host a carnival. It was the most exciting event of the year. It would usually last a few days and would leave memories forever. The next weekend was the carnival. Of course, most places took off business days for the carnival. Shinji was able to this year get a day off to visit the carnival. Evan was the first to bring up the event. He had wanted badly to go with Shinji.

Shinji took a brisk walk through the store to get the many needed items and paid without complication. As he was walking out through the entrance doors, he rammed straight into a body. He fell over, dropping most of his groceries. The man knelt down and immediately began to fumble to help.

“Sorry,” he said as he handed Shinji a bundle of bananas. Shinji looked up at the man. The sand-soft blonde hair shined underneath the sun’s intense rays. The emerald green of the man’s eyes met with Shinji’s sapphire blue. When they stood after finishing, Shinji had to look up at the man. He wore a business suit that showed how much he was built. The soft blonde hair was gelled back and his face softly tanned.

“No, it was my fault. I wasn’t paying attention,” Shinji said as a response to the man’s apology. He couldn’t help but find the man absolutely attractive in all aspects. Gorgeous. Shinji fumbled with the broken bags.

“No, please, it was my fault. Let me help you to your car.”

“I don’t have one. I usually just walk most places,” Shinji said over the two bags in his arms. “I live nearby and I also work nearby.”

“Then please, let me give you a ride home.” The man held onto one of the bags to keep it from falling. Shinji thought for a moment before finally agreeing. They walked into the parking lot. The car was amazing. The sport’s viper was one of the most expensive cars to have. The man helped him into the car. The drive was quick and silent.

Shinji began to get out when the man stopped him by speaking. “Look, I’m really sorry about your groceries. Can I perhaps make up for it with dinner?” Shinji looked up from his groceries and nodded slightly.

“Um, sure but you really don’t have to,” Shinji said as he began to get out completely. He watched as the man shook his head briefly.

“No, I insist. I’ll pick you up tonight at seven?”

“Okay,” Shinji said with a slight wave. It wasn’t like him to do such a spontaneous thing, but he thought he would give it a try any how. He made his way to the apartment complex. He could hear the dull roar of the car engine and then the faint sound of it leaving. He sighed and made his way up to the doorway. Evan was standing at the railing near his door.

“Did you go to the market?” he said as he looked at the grocery bags. Shinji nodded his head and pointed to his pocket where the key was. Evan grabbed the key from Shinji’s pocket and opened the door.

“I thought that you went home,” Shinji said as he entered the air conditioned room. The lights were all turned off so he made a quick chore of turning them all on. He set the bags down on the counter and turned to see Evan standing with his arms crossed and a very serious look upon his face.

“Who was that guy who brought you home?”

“Just someone I ran into on my way out of the market. He offered to give me a ride home.” Shinji began to put away the items from the bag. He paid no attention to the man now nearing him inside of the kitchen. He felt the hot breath on his shoulder. Evan stood behind him, cornering him into the counter.

“You never take rides from strangers.”

“Well it was a way of apologizing for knocking me over, I guess.”

“What else did he want?” Evan’s voice was low and sounded dangerous. Shinji could feel the anger pulsing off of him.

“Why does it matter? I do what I like with my life. I don’t complain when you go out with girls, or if you get driven home by another friend, so why should you care?” He felt the man move away from him.

“Answer my question.” His voice left no area for argument.

“He invited me to dinner to apologize for the groceries.” Shinji turned to look at Evan who was dangerously close to him. Shinji looked up to meet the man’s eyes.

“And?”

“I said that I would,” Shinji said without a heartbeat between.

Evan looked at him with sallow eyes. The man’s hands clenched into fists and with a slow huff he turned and walked into the living room. Shinji heard the loud thud of a door and went to look at the source. Evan was gone. Shinji sighed and rested back against the couch. He could feel his heart thumping violently in his chest. He could feel the adrenaline fill his blood stream. Why should Evan be angry? It’s not like it was a date. Shinji had never really dated much. He didn’t really find girls attractive, so he concluded that he probably liked men, but he had never told Evan that.

Evan, on the other hand, liked women and lots of them. He was always around them. When Shinji would go with him to the club –on the rare occasion- he would notice the swarm of women that would filter to go to his friend’s side. He never felt jealous, but he never felt happy either. Shinji was most times confused by what he felt for Evan. All the while, Evan was happily dating and having sex with the random women he met. That’s mostly why Shinji would get angry with Evan touching him.

Shinji shook his head and decided that he would think about it more later on. He only had two hours until seven so he needed to get ready. Besides, this was just a dinner out of apology, nothing more.

---

Seven arrived quicker than Shinji had hoped. The soft thud on the door let him know that the man had returned. He felt weird. He didn’t even know the man’s name, let alone a thing about what kind of person he was. Shinji was completely clueless.

“Hey, let me just get my wallet,” Shinji said through the doorway. He quickly grabbed his wallet and went to the door.

“You won’t need it. I will pay for everything tonight, just enjoy.” Shinji sighed and put down his wallet.

“By the way, what is your name?”

The man smiled, “Chris Ballimen.” He extended his hand and shook Shinji’s. “And yours?”

“Shinji Rikuaru – my parents were Japanese.” He shook lightly and then followed the man out the door and into the falling sun light. The reds painted the sky as the sun was setting just over the hills. The day was fading into night. Shinji could feel the soft gust of wind against his face, a blow that would calm any person.

Shinji got into the car just as Chris started the engine. He buckled himself up and turned to look over at Chris. “What restaurant are we going to?” He watched as Chris pulled out of the parking lot and made his way west of the apartments. It was really beautiful out.

“It’s a little restaurant on the corner of Douglas Street. I love eating there,” Chris said with a smile. “The head chef is said to be one of the best. By my experience, he is.” Shinji blushed completely red. Maybe Chris was talking about another restaurant. “DeLaire` Restaurant.” Shinji held his breath and sighed out. No wonder the man seemed somewhat familiar.

“Um, can we possibly go somewhere else?” Chris turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

“Don’t you want to try the excellent food?”

“It’s not that; I…kind of…work there.” Shinji turned to watch the man’s reaction. He saw Chris contemplate what the boy was trying to say. “I’m the head chef.”

Chris turned his eyes slightly wide, “You’re the head chef?! Wow, I can’t believe it. You make really great Chicken Cordon Blu`. This is amazing.” Chris was smiling one of the most dazzling smiles that Shinji had ever seen. The man was absolutely handsome in every detail. Shinji blushed at his own thoughts.

“Um, Chris, how old are you?” Shinji fiddled with the tips of his fingers. He was beginning to see that it might not have been a good idea to go to dinner with this man. He didn’t know a thing about him.

“Twenty-four,” he said without hesitation. “And how old are you Shinji?” Chris parked in the area just beside the restaurant. He turned off the ignition and turned to look at Shinji. His face was without strain and his eyes seemed to sparkle under the little light given.

“I’m almost twenty, next month.” Shinji smiled and moved to get out of the car. He felt a gentle hand grab the uppermost of his arm. He turned to see that Chris too was smiling. The man seemed to catch moments that would render one speechless. Shinji could feel his heart thumping against his chest. The man seemed to be looking for a kind of response.

“I’m going to ask you a question, but please don’t be offended. If I told you that I wanted this to be a sort of…first date, what would you say?” Chris paused for a moment. The only sound inside the car was the soft breathing coming from Shinji and the slightly heavier breaths from Chris.

Shinji blushed and bit his lower lip, “I would say that…I would love to have dinner with you as…a first date.” God, did he sound corny. He could feel the touch burning into him and causing him to shiver avertedly. Everything seemed to be too good to be true. A handsome man was asking him on a date - him…Shinji Rikuaru.

Chris smiled and nodded his head as he opened the door and got out of the car. Shinji followed and closed the door behind him. The restaurant wasn’t the one that Chris had initially gone to; probably because he understood that it might be a bit embarrassing to go on a date at a restaurant that you worked at.

When they entered the restaurant, Chris called over a hostess and whispered into her ear. She nodded her head with a smile and led them to a more private booth in the back. The booth was surrounded by walls and was only given to a VIP of some sort. Shinji sat down; his eyes wandered the walls as he did so.

Chris smiled over at Shinji and nodded for the waitress to leave. Shinji felt his heart speed as soon as the door to the booth room was closed. Candle light was the only source of light. The darkness was a sort of comfort, being only lit with a small candle in the middle of the table.

“Are you feeling okay?” Chris looked over at Shinji who was staring almost fixatedly on the candle. Shinji quickly brought his eyes towards Chris and nodded his head.

“Oh yes, sorry. How did you get this booth exclusively?” Shinji was generally interested. How could someone gain so much power as to get a booth that was reserved for important guests? Chris seemed to be too young to have climbed so high, so early on.

“Well, the business I am in makes me slightly an important person. I own several businesses, including this restaurant and the restaurant that you, I just learned, work at.” Chris took a small sip of his water and then gazed up over the glass. “I have a confession to make, Shinji. The reason why I asked you to dinner was not out of apology, but because I found that I wanted very desperately to get to know you. I had seen you walking home one night, when I usually take my strolls and I swore to myself that if I ever saw you again I would ask you to dinner. Forgive me for being so frivolous.” Chris bowed his head slightly and then brought his eyes once more to Shinji.

“You wanted to have dinner with me? I mean, you are a man that I had suspected had many people that wanted to get close to you. I just assumed that someone like me would never be good enough.” Did he sound even cornier than before? But, it was interesting how things were unfolding.

“Despite what you might think of yourself, you are definitely cute. I just didn’t want to come on too strong. I hadn’t even found out if you were even interested in men yet. Besides, we just met.” Chris watched Shinji for a moment more before their waiter entered.

The night was spent talking about their businesses. It seemed that Chris was very important. He was president of his company and dealt with many overseas businesses. Shinji also found out that -on top of all the other wonderful things that Chris was- he could speak over four languages which he spoke from time to time during the dinner.

After the dinner was finished and the time came for the date to end, Chris took Shinji home. The ride was pleasant.

The apartment complex was completely without light. Shadows threw themselves through the window by moonlight as the night grew on. Shinji began to unbuckle himself. He felt a soft touch to his hand and turned to see Chris gazing at him.

“I want to see you again.” Chris’s hand intertwined with Shinji’s and he brought it to his mouth pressing a very soft butterfly kiss to Shinji’s fingers. “I want to get to know you.” He kissed the palm of Shinji’s hand and then pulled slightly. Shinji could feel his heart beat rushed and the adrenaline pumping through his body. Chris pulled him forward. Their lips met with slight hesitation. Chris pressed forward slightly capturing what was left of Shinji’s lips. The kiss was silent and perfect.

Chris’s hand held to the side of Shinji’s face as he pulled Shinji a bit closer to him. He ran his tongue along the closed barrier. Shinji allowed Chris’s tongue to enter his mouth in a filling manner. He could feel the hot muscle touch ever point inside his moist cavern. It was a hot, completely illicit kiss that sent Shinji into complete heaven. When they pulled away, Shinji couldn’t help but whimper. Chris smiled and pressed one kiss to Shinji’s lips.

“You taste wonderful,” he said softly as he drew Shinji once more to taste his lips. Shinji breathed out against the man’s mouth as he was once more drawn into oblivion of the mind. His body was responding quickly to the feel and touch of the man’s hand on his stomach. He could feel the soft brush of fingertips against his waist. The touch was feather soft. Shinji pulled away slightly trying to catch his breath.

“Do you want me to call you tomorrow?” Chris kissed the soft jugular on the side of Shinji’s neck. He tilted the boy’s head so he could lick the spot he had been kissing and blow softly on the newly moistened skin. Shinji was trying his best to think straight, but his other brain was taking over. Chris licked over the side of his neck. His hand wandered further underneath Shinji’s shirt. The fingers brushed lightly over the pebbled nipple. Shinji took a sharp breath as the fingers teased the skin around his nipples.

“Yeah,” he said breathlessly as Chris slowly sucked the indent in his neck, where shoulder met vertical neck meat. He could feel himself slip further into the side of the car. He’d only felt these things with Evan, but Evan never meant them as a show of liking; it was all a joke to him.

Shinji groaned as the man’s hand found the button and zipper of his pants. “Would you like to continue this somewhere more private?” Shinji only nodded his head slightly as the pleasure rushed through him. He couldn’t even think of how embarrassing it was, just of how good it felt. “Let’s go to my place.” Chris pulled away and gazed over at Shinji. “Fast,” he said breathlessly. The man’s arousal was apparent. His pants didn’t do well to hide it.

Shinji began to think clearly. His eyes widened slightly. He was a virgin. What would Chris do if he found out? Shinji fumbled with his fingertips. He looked over to Chris who was putting the car into drive. Everything was building inside of him as he took the chance to think through tonight’s events. Could this just be a one night stand? Or, was this some…he thought too much, he finally decided.

Chris’s breathing was slowing finally after a few minutes rush. Shinji couldn’t help smiling at the distortion over the man’s face. He seemed to also be thinking about the way things had turned out that night.

“I’m…not usually that aggressive on the first date,” Chris said with a slight sigh. He turned to watch Shinji for a moment before returning his eyes to the road that lied ahead. “I like to take things nice and slow. Never been one to rush into the moment. Despite what you might want to think, the last relationship I had was with a woman.” His voice was soft as they rounded the corner and drove into a highly rich neighborhood. The house was bigger than the apartment complex that Shinji lived in.

Shinji could feel his body tense as the car came to a stop in the man’s driveway. He looked over once more to see that Chris was smiling at him. He blushed slightly as the man motioned with his head to follow him out of the car and into the house.

Shinji had not even gotten fully through the door before Chris’s lips were firmly pressed against his. His breath caught in his throat as he was pushed up against the now closed door. His back hit firmly against the red oak and hands found their way to his waist. Hot fingertips touched his soft skin and left burning sensation that traveled all the way to his nether regions. Pleasure sensors seemed to be at every touching point because all Shinji could do was gasp and groan. When the man’s hand had run up to once more tease his nipple, he pulled away with a soft ‘no’.

Chris stopped to look at Shinji, “What’s wrong?” The man’s hand was stalled just beneath Shinji’s collarbone. Shinji had to keep his mind focused on what he was going to say because the touch of the man’s hand was driving him to become incoherent and otherwise unable to communicate.

“I just…well…it’s my…first time.” Everything was hesitated as he felt the man’s hand drop from beneath his shirt and he took one step back. “I’ve never been with a man, or even a woman. I…guess you could say that I never really had the chance since I’m usually working and people feel intimidated by my friend Evan.”

“Who’s Evan?”

“Um, well he is a very close friend of mine. I’ve known him since high school.” Shinji pulled down his shirt and straightened himself out. He felt something turn in his stomach at the thought of Evan. Earlier, he had seemed so upset by the fact that Shinji was going out to dinner with someone. It even looked as though he was hurt by the situation. Shinji hadn’t really thought of it much at the time, but now that he looked at it, it seemed that Evan had something to hide.

Shinji sighed and then smiled at Chris, “I think it’s best if I go home now.” He watched as Chris nodded and grabbed his keys from his pockets. The ride home was one of the most quiet that they had during that night. When Chris dropped him off, he said nothing, did nothing, and made no move. Shinji got out without a word spoken and went into his apartment.

---

The phone rang loudly from the living room. Shinji could feel the broken sleep over his body as he moved to get out of bed. He had to wake up in a couple hours for work. Who would call at such a time in the morning? Shinji made his way down the hall tying off the bed robe and making sure that it was tight.

“Hello?”

“Shinji, I’m at your front door, open it.” It was Evan’s voice and it sounded as though it was strained. Shinji sighed softly, moving two feet to open the door. The man was standing there with a heavy black coat over a white tank top and black dress pants. His hair was ruffled as though he had just woken up from a very uneasy night’s rest. His eyes were blood shot and his lids drooped slightly.

“What are you doing here at this hour, Evan? You know that I have to work in the morning.” Shinji allowed Evan through the door despite his harsh words of reprimand. The man huffed loudly and landed himself on the couch with a low thump. Shinji followed, sitting next to him to await an answer.

“I couldn’t sleep…I…couldn’t help worrying about you. What happened with that guy?” His face was distorted into a face of great worry and depression. He looked completely exhausted. His skin was paling and he looked almost drunk, or sick, depending on what he got to first.

“Nothing happened. He was very generous, but in the end, I didn’t want to do anything that friends wouldn’t do.” Shinji smiled and placed his hand over Evan’s hand which tensed at first touch but soon relaxed. “Come on, I’ll let you sleep here tonight. You look like you’re coming down with something.” Shinji helped Evan to his feet and shuffled him down the hall and into his room.

Evan rested his head on top of Shinji’s chest while Shinji’s fingers weaved through his hair absently. “I got so angry today at the thought of you with another man. I couldn’t help but be jealous. This morning, I…” his voice trailed off as he reconsidered what he was about to say. Shinji breathed gently, trying to wait patiently for Evan to continue.

“This morning?” his fingers rubbed reassuringly against Evan’s scalp. The man was hopeless sometimes. Shinji felt so much like a father more than he did a friend. The man was completely hopeless. Completely.

Evan brought his head up and looked down at Shinji with determined eyes. “This morning, when I was…touching you, I felt something. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve never felt it before.” Evan’s hand came to rest against Shinji’s cheek.

“You’re hopeless,” Shinji said with a faint smile on his lips. The moonlight was casting mysterious shadows against his face. Their hot breaths mingled between them as Evan began to lean closer. His hand slowly traveled down Shinji’s neck. Those hot fingers sent Shinji into a complete oblivion, one not reached without Evan. He was so caught by the sudden change in the air that his body was almost immediately aroused.

“Shinji, I want you to be mine tonight.” Evan’s voice was low and husky from the point where Shinji could be turned to mush. His sensitive spot of his neck was directly below the man’s lips. Shinji shivered involuntarily as the Evan’s lips connected with his skin and a very actively hot tongue sought out to ruin every logical thought Shinji had prepared for a situation like this. Not even his own morality could hold him back from having this moment.

Hands tugged his shirt up to ruffle just beneath the space underneath his under arms, pulling aside enough space for the robe to gape open. The hands splayed over his skin and began to melt him with their smooth relaxing motions just over the expanse of skin covering his ribs; hot, sensual fingertips lingering the expanse of his chest. Evan’s mouth made gentle contact with his sensitive ears and he gasped in response to the electricity that seemed to explode from the one contact. Every sensory system in his body screamed for him to moan. He caught and filtered each response, not wanting to sound too wanton, but not too quiet either. Evan’s chuckle tickled the shell of his ear.

“You like that? I knew that you would be this responsive,” he said as he teased Shinji’s right nipple. “I knew that you would moan my name. I also know that you haven’t been touched like this…” Evan tugged at Shinji’s robe, removing it and then moving to completely remove his shirt and boxers. Shinji opened his eyes –not having realized that he had closed them- to watch as Evan began to work on taking his clothes off.

The soft blush painted Shinji’s cheeks as he gazed at the firmly toned chest and abdomen. His eyes wandered south and he gasped audibly at the man’s powerful erection. He didn’t want to sound like a little school boy, but the man was absolutely gifted and it was exciting. The length was without a doubt nine or ten inches in length and its pink color was glorious just to look at.

Evan leaned down capturing Shinji’s lips in the first kiss the two have shared in their entire friendship. Their lips pressed firmly against each other and caught the first feel of a complete and unbelievable electric surge that heat both of their bodies. Shinji’s mouth fell open into a moan and was filled almost immediately with Evan’s tongue that sought to discover every place there could be in one’s mouth. Shinji could taste what Evan was and he found it to be the most delicious meal he had ever eaten.

Evan firmly gripped Shinji’s arousal and began to knead it into his hot hand. The grip was so stimulating that Shinji had to hold back from coming on the spot just with the man’s touch. He cried out softly for Evan to take it easier, not having enough strength to say it completely.

“I want to be inside you,” Evan groaned into Shinji’s ear as one of his fingers slowly found their way to Shinji’s virgin entrance. “I want to make you scream my name in climax. I want to come inside you,” his finger penetrated the ring of skin. Shinji’s eyes widened as the feeling sent pain signals to his brain. He tried to move away from the finger now entering him.

“No, it hurts.” Shinji tried to push away once more but the man was more persistent. He whispered into his ear soothingly as he wet down his finger and attempted once more to enter.

“Relax. It will get better, I promise. I have to stretch you before I enter.”

Shinji could feel the salty, hot tears falling from his eyes, but he refused to acknowledge them. He could only nod his head in reply and take what he was given. Soon the pain subsided and all the feeling resorted to what was an uncomfortable feeling of being filled from the inside. That is, until he felt a sensitive nerve bundle be pushed and gasped into an arch against the mattress.

Evan smiled delightfully as he moved to hit the spot once more. He added another finger and watched as Shinji writhed from the pleasuring touch. “That’s it. See, just as I promise.” Evan moved over the boy and pressed a soft kiss to the boy’s lips. He could feel his name on Shinji’s lips as he bit playfully at Shinji’s bottom lip.

“Evan,” Shinji said breathlessly. He couldn’t think enough to say anymore than the man’s name. All that came to mind was the unbearable pleasuring fingers. But soon they left him void of the feeling and were instead replaced with something much larger than any finger could have prepared him for. “No Evan, please…don’t.” He looked up pleadingly as the man’s erection slowly penetrated him.

His entrance burned with the fires of hell. He cried out in his pain but was comforted with a tender whisper from the man that he had come to care so much for. Evan rubbed Shinji’s cheek comfortingly. His smile was all that kept Shinji from pulling away completely and getting away from this entire mess. Something reassured him that this was the only way to make things between them complete. It didn’t stop the burn, but it eased his worry.

Shinji nodded his head for Evan to continue. The man hesitated for a moment, but soon gave up and plundered deeper within the tunnel. He pressed a firm kiss to Shinji’s forehead, trying to help the boy relax. He was taking it as slowly as he could possibly go. Sometimes he wondered how he kept such high self-control.

Tears streamed from the boy’s eyes as he attempted to relax and calm his body enough to hold back the pain. He was about to give up entirely when his prostate was pressed against and again he felt the spark of pleasure along the length of his spin. “Ah,” he cried out after Evan pressed the point once more.

Both of their bodies were covered in a thin layer of sweat. Shinji was gasping lightly and holding tightly to Evan’s shoulders with his eyes shut tightly. Evan was slowly thrusting into the boy below him and breathing out heavily with each movement. He grabbed between them and began to pump Shinji in time with his thrusts. Soon he couldn’t hold back his restrain and began to thrust deeper into Shinji.

“Evan!” Shinji arched his head back as his climax hit him like an avalanche. Evan’s was soon to follow and he could feel his release fill the inner linings of Shinji’s tunnel. They both were left breathing hard and shaking from the strength of their climaxes. Evan pulled out slowly and went to grab some towels.

Shinji felt his lower half numb from the pain. There was no way he’d be able to go to work tomorrow with what had happened. He sighed, but smiled to himself. His first time was something to remember. Before he slipped into a satisfying sleep, he whispered, “I love you.”

Evan walked into the room to find an already asleep boy on the bed. He chuckled to himself as he made the task of cleaning them both up. They would take a shower later. Right now, however, it was time to get some rest. Evan curled up next to Shinji and pulled the sleeping boy into his arms. He closed his eyes with a smile plaguing his lips.
