These are the Ones
These are the Ones
These are the people who put on their brave face every morning.
After a night reliving the terror.
You wouldn\'t be able to tell when you look at them.
They look like any person.
But they have the courage to face the demons everyday.
The demons others try to ignore.
These are the ones who conquer their fear.
These are the ones who dare to remember.
These are the ones who fear every touch,
yet go out each day and live their lives.
These are the ones who know the depths of despair,
but choose to help others with their knowledge.
These are the ones who have stared death in the face,
and do not deny its temptation.
These are the ones who have every chance to hurt,
but choose another path.
These are the ones who hurt themselves,
but search for a better way.
These are the ones who see the truth behind all the lies.
These are the ones who know the evil that lives in all of us.
Yet choose to struggle against the evil, instead of giving in.
These are the ones who overcome the
shadow we all fear to face.
These are the ones who rise above.
