Cadivorous| Hello, this is more of a prolouge of what should be a dramatic story.

Cadivorous pushed a branch away from her young face. She groaned. She had gotten in a fight with her parents and had ran into the forest outside of town. She looked down at her pretty kimono, now ripped and torn. She frowned. Tomorrow was her fourteenth birthday and she had been wearing her precious kimono. It was a dark red silk with a falling cherry blossom pattern. She had pulled up the long sleeves so they wouldn’t cover her hands. She rubbed her arms, it was getting cold. She flicked a fox ear to try to hear someone, nothing. Her fluffy fox tail almost dragged on the dirt. She shivered and brushed her messy short silver-blue hair out of her face.

She looked at the sky, it was turning a dark blue. She yawned heavily and leaned against a tree. She was too tired to go on, she’d have to go to sleep somewhere. She looked up. Looks like the tree was the only suitable place to sleep. She sighed and began pulling herself up the tree. She found a nice branch near the top and sat down near the trunk and leaned against the rough bark. She could see over the top of most trees. She saw a reddish steam rising over the tops of the tree. She nearly toppled over. Red steam meant the wolf demons were hunting for food. Her blue-green eyes began to water, wishing she had just agreed with her parents.

She couldn’t go to sleep, or they might catch her, she would have to stay up the whole night. She kept trying to think of things but eventually drifted to sleep, her head resting to the side. She dreamt of being captured by them, and being roasted alive over a fire, it felt so real. She woke up with a start, and yawned, glad she was still in the tree. But she wasn’t alone. Across from her a brown haired wolf demon sat sleeping, she nearly fell. She couldn’t move without waking him up. He groaned a little, and shifted. The branch cracked a little. She closed her eyes but soon found herself staring at him again.

His black wolf tail brushed her shin, it was so soft, she reached out and ran her hand along the silky fur. He shifted again, whimpering. She felt bad for him. She then stared at him wide-eyed as he sat up yawning, he opened his eyes and stared at her, with blue-gray eyes. She gasped and scooted back as much as possible. He frowned at her and lowered his shoulders. He put a black gloved hand on her pink cheek, “ It’s okay, I won’t hurt you,” he pulled his hand back. She stared at him for what seemed like hours. She thought about lashing out and hitting him, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t speak, she was so confused.

Shouldn’t she be afraid right now?? Shouldn’t she simply jump and hope she’d land safely? But she couldn’t leave, she wasn’t afraid but she felt safe. He chuckled, he was a year or two older than her. She furrowed her brows and frowned, trying to look strong, “ Why are you here??” she said firmly. He chuckled, smiling and revealing two pearl canines a little bigger than hers. And pointier. He looked at her, “ Aren’t you feisty, no need to get tough with me, just thought you might need some help,” h said calmly, he was a wolf demon, shouldn’t he be killing her or something? “ Aren’t you supposed to be eating me?” she said helplessly. He blushed a little,” I guess I should, shouldn’t I?” he tried to make it funny and laughed lightly, and then shrugged.

He scratched the back of his head, becoming rather sheepish to her, “ Well, do you want my help or not?”. He climbed down one branch. She sighed, “ I guess,”. She then climbed down herself, leaving him up the tree. She waited at the bottom for him. He jumped down and pointed into the forest, “ It’s that way, you go first,”. She was rather suspicious but went anyway. They walked for a few minutes and she got bored.” You better not lead me to your village!” she shouted back to him. He laughed, and stepped over a large root. “ I might be, how would you know!?,” he said, and brushed some dirt off his black outfit. She turned around and stared at him,“ You better be joking because it’s not funny,”. He sighed and shook his head.

They began to walk in the supposed direction, watching for snakes and bad plants. “So, um, I’m still really curious, why’d you save me anyway? It’s just, you’re, you know, supposed to, er, eat me,” she said, avoiding a small ant pile and walking on. He chuckled a bit, “ I don’t eat humanoids”. He followed after her, watching her kimono, or what was left of it, sway as she walked. She raised an eyebrow, “ What does ‘ humanoid’ mean??”. He smiled at her innocence, “ It means something with human-like attributes, like we walk on two legs,”. She thought about this for a few moments, “ So you don’t eat chickens?”< this was really confusing..

“No, like anything that looks any bit like a human, like with faces, well never mind, it doesn’t matter, I won’t eat you,” he said, shaking his head, making his brown hair even messier than before. She shrugged, “ Whatever, I don’t care, anyway, won’t your ‘ friends ‘ be looking for you?” she said, using the term ‘friends’ very loosely. He stopped for a minute, then walked a little faster to catch up, “ Nah, they ‘re too lazy,”. They both laughed, “ I bet your kimono looked nice on you when it wasn’t torn, it still looks nice now,” he had said, then he stopped, realizing what he had said. She giggled, then smiled to herself.

He decided to take the chance to walk a few steps closer to her, though he was still pretty far away. She moaned, her legs hurt, but she had to keep walking, she then walked on, limping slightly. He watched her for a moment, “ You okay??”. He stared at her for a moment for a moment. She leaned against a tree and rubbed her ankles, “ I’m just rather tired, that’s all,”. He twitched a little, “ Do you want me to carry you?”. He mentally slapped himself. She looked at him oddly,” I guess, but no funny business,” she waited for him to come up to her. Girls were weird. He walked over and bent down as low as possible, “ Hop on,”

She climbed on gently, he grabbed her calves to reassure her and he started off. He tried not to bounce much, it made him feel weird. She grabbed onto his neck, but surprisingly, didn’t choke him. He had a girl on his back. How freaky. He could drop her and run, nah. He kept walking. She yawned a little and leaned a little more into him. It was heavier, but more pleasurable. She had fallen asleep on his shoulder and was mewing very softly. He couldn’t help but slow down his pace, the sooner that they got there the sooner she would leave him and forget him forever. He felt a light nibble on his neck, he stopped and looked at her, still sound asleep, but nibbling him?

He shrugged, he’d pretend he didn’t notice. He continued walking, and could soon the light at the end of the forest. She twitched a little, and rose her head. She looked around,” We’re not there yet?” she questioned. He shook his head,> She smiled again, “ Well we’ve got some time, tell me about yourself,” He stopped , then he talked about himself, then she told her story. After that they trailed off into conversations about only Thor knows what.

After awhile her legs weren’t tired anymore, but she was happy as she was. Not like she had any feelings for him or anything. She was just …lazy. Finally the little speck of light at the end of the trail was a much larger, maybe ten more minutes and they’d be out. He was starting to get a bit tired, but he decided to keep going, the girl on his back seemed to help keep his mind off his aching legs. Soon enough they stepped out of the forest, into her small village. He let her down softly and turned around. It was dark out, the moon seemed to put a spotlight on them.

She seemed to take a extreme interest in the dirt. She drew a dirty circle with her now dingy sandal, “ Well, eh, thanks,” she said wryly, looking up at him quickly, then turning back to her dirt masterpiece. He nodded, “ Welcome, well, bye I guess, never did quite catch your name, mine’s Mako…” he said, looking at something in the distance. She sighed, “ Cadivorous,” she said to him quietly. She gulped and leaned over, kissing him gently on the cheek. She then turned and began walking away.

It took him a few moments to realize what had happened, he snapped his arm out and grabbed her wrist, “ Wait,” he said, pulling her over. She let herself be pulled over, she didn‘t look at him when she spoke“ Look, I don’t have anything else, I’m rea..” . He had leaned over and kissed her on her pink lips. She wanted to pull away, but she didn’t. She wrapped her arms around his waist, and shut her eyes. He felt him wrap his arms around her waist. What was happening, she didn’t love him, didn’t even like him. But she couldn’t leave his warm embrace.

He had gently bit the bottom of her mouth and she gasped, allowing him entrance to her mouth. Which he slipped his tongue into her mouth, where she greeted it by visiting his mouth, he had such a exotic flavor, so much different than her own. She moaned a little indicating that she needed air, he quickly pulled his head back. She snuggled into his chest. Her name echoed through the town, he quickly let go and darted into the shadows of the forest. Her mom turned the corner and quickly ran over to her, cuddling her up and squeezing her, beginning a very long lecture, walking away with Cadivorous in her arms. With one last turn, and a mini-wave, she walked away. As he watched the girl he now loved walk away he smiled and began to walk to his own village, knowing no one must know of what went on between them.
