Two Places At Once
flashing lights
shaking as the wind tears through
thumping music
a lone crow perched on a gnarled branch
a writhing, swirling mass of flesh
orderly rows of granite stone
tables full
some old, some new
bodies lined up at the bar
stretch out all across the land
a smoky haze hanging in the air
a place packed with bodies
a club packed with pale dancing, living bodies
outfitted in Sunday best
clad in black, deep red, purple and topped with bright silver
clothes yellowing with age
leather, lace, velvet and crisp linen
and no one ever speaks
bodies here do the talking
