Eleven

"It's so unfair! You can't lock me away forever! He won't let you!" A dark chuckle emulated from the opposite corner, "Quite on the contrary my little one, my beauty"¦ I want everyone to see you, I will teach you how to be desired and envied and no, my Grandfather won't stop me because he can't. I'm your new guardian, I have it all in writing and even though he's the head of the counsel he can't go against the laws. So, I'd recommend you sit and be silent like the good little boy you are and don't even think about embarrassing me again, if you do I swear you won't see your brother for the entire time you're in my care. But I don't really need to be making these nasty threats, do I? They're just ever so nasty"¦" The demon MoonSect smiled icily down at his small protégé. Eleven nodded his head slowly, defeated, as he walks over to his teacher and spreads his skirts over the floor, while the older demon began brushing his long dark lock gently.
"That's very good, it's good to see you are learning at least how to sit with some civility." The door knocked some time later and three finely dressed demons bustled in, coming into the sitting room already chattering with each other. MoonSect rose from his lounge to greet them, gliding gracefully across the floor, his skirts making only a soft rustling noise. Eleven remained on his cushion resembling a perfect porcelain doll, his eyes cast downward at the floor, having been instructed that being coy and silent was the "proper" way to present oneself; his hair now piled upon his head with a few strands trailing down and dancing softly around his splendid feline face. His dark eyes heavily lined giving the impression of someone exotic and mysterious. He looked up through his long lashes at the visitors and smiled politely as so instructed previously by his teacher.
"Why, Moon, he's positively lovely!" A tall demon with big red hair cooed, rushing over and swatting down next to the boy. "Thank you Sir, your compliment flatters me." Eleven blushed at his own words, sounding completely fake rolling off of his tongue. "And so well behaved"¦you got a good one this time, well good for you, you deserve it after what you went threw before"¦" With this remark he glanced over his shoulder and gave his friend a wink before turning back to pull on some of the gentle curls of Eleven's hair. MoonSect came into the room and brushed past his protégé and colleague, pouring glass of deep sparkling wine into four shimmering crystal goblets. The other two demons sat quietly, remaining close to each other, seemingly nervous about something. They both accepted their wines with grace and sipped while the others talked.
Time passed and gossip was exchanged with both adults gasping in alarm and drinking more and more wine, while the children all remained quiet. The two boys had they're glasses refilled once, while Eleven remained on his cushion, trying not to fall asleep, trying to pay attention but completely not interested.
"My dear, I think that's all of the gossip I can have tonight, thank you for such a lovely evening and letting me meet your new student, he's positively darling, and so quiet, not a peep out of him all night." The boisterous demon stretched his jeweled fingers down and gave Eleven's cheek a brief caress. "You will have to let him come to my house and perhaps teach these two some manners."
MoonSect chuckled and looked over at the two children and smiled, remembering that the age difference between his friend and him was much larger than between him and the two children. He placed a hand delicately on Eleven's shoulder, perhaps protectively but most likely for possessiveness and from the lounge that MoonSect had so languidly stretched himself out upon the latter seemed the more likely option.
"Nanial, don't be too hard on them, they were quite well-behaved tonight, besides they're almost adults, they're going to need to know how to properly converse like the lovely adults they're going up to be. " MoonSect flashed one of his famous smiles and rose gingerly to embrace his friend. "You are always so kind to my family and I, we will be in touch." And with the last of the niceties said the three demons were escorted to the door and departed. MoonSect quickly returned to the parlor, wear Eleven was still perched upon his pillow on the floor, releasing his tightly bound hair.
"Well done my dear, you were beautifully behaved and very delicate with your speech. I'm very proud of you and because of that performance tonight I will contact my brother Gareth and see if your brother is free tomorrow."
Eleven's head jerked up and he bombarded his teacher with fury full of hair and fabric. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" MoonSect patted the small boy gently one the back and then briskly on his head trying to end the hug. "Yes"¦very child, so off to bed for you." He bent down and met eyes with the child, "and next time don't run, but saunter, casually graze over the floor, running is so unbecoming"¦" Eleven blushed and nodded his head, "Yes Sir, I'm sorry and will try to remember my manners."
"That's a good lad, now up the stairs." And with that final dismissal Eleven picked up the front of his billowy "skirt" and headed up the stairs.
The next morning an obnoxious knocking came to the door, much too early to be "courteous" or "decent". MoonSect rolled over and buried his face into his satin sheets trying to ignore the noise, but to no avail, so he forced himself to pull himself out of bed and tie his silk robe around his slender frame and run a comb quickly threw his unmanageable large demonic hair. Growing frustrated with the persistent knocking he tied strands of his dark hair back with glittery clips and hastily lined his eyes and powdered his nose, so finally feeling somewhat presentable he headed down the stairs were one of his servants waited at the door for his master's approval. MoonSect straightened the boy's hair and pinched a piece of rebellious lint off his shirt, "All right, let's find out who's here and this disgustingly early hour and doesn't have the proper decency to call ahead first.
The large wooden and stained glass door opened to reveal tow demons very different than the ones that called the previous evening. MoonSect's previous grumpy disposition changed instantly, "Gareth, why hello dear, how are you this morning? I'm sorry I'm not in something more presentable if I had know it was you"¦" The dirty demon chuckled and walked into the foyer, " So, you would have made us wait another 10 minutes?" He quirked an eyebrow and patted his brother's arm. "Well"¦it's still early, really much too early for social calls"¦" Gareth laughed heartily, "We've been up for hours now and I had business in the city and though tour two students would like to spend the day out together, I figured I could take them both and get Eleven out of your hair of a couple of house while I run my errands. So, where is the boy? You're going to make him lazy, speaking of laziness where did Seven run off to?" Gareth stuck his head out the still open door, showing his mud-splattered ribbon that tied back his dusty shoulder length hair, "Seven get in here, boy!"
In rushes a dashing young demon with dirt covering his fur and clothes, wearing a mischievous smile, "Sorry." Gareth chuckled and placed a hand on his shoulder. MoonSect takes a deep breath and tisks quietly at the boy's appearance, but he's not surprised taking in his brother's dirty leather pants and well-worn vest, " So, what's for breakfast? Oh, sorry," he extended a dirty paw to the house's proprietor, "Good morning Moon, how have you been? Well I hope?" The dainty demon quickly took the said paw and nodded, "Yes, thank you, quite. Eron, dear close the door."
Seven turned his head and chuckled at the demon, giving him a wink as the older demons left going into the kitchen, "Is he always like this?"
"Yep, always, "˜dear', "˜polite', "˜decent', "˜delicate', "˜lovely', and what else"¦hmmm"¦"
"Beautiful." Eleven stood at the top of the stairs ebony hair surrounding and cascading over one slender ivory shoulder that he allowed his silk robe fall off of. Seven took the stairs in two until he reached his brother. He wrapped his arms forcefully around him, "That you are"¦"
Eleven blushed brightly and cast his eyes to the ground, Seven took a hold of his chin and tugged gently upward, bringing their eyes level and planting a firm less on Eleven's shocked face.
