Particle sat still, gazing longingly across the vast ocean. \"Wave,\" he sighed, \"Why have you left me for so long?\" He rolled onto his back and looked up at the moon.
\"Sorry, the line at the drugstore was terrible.\" came the familair voice.
\"Wave!\" exclaimed Particle. \"I had no idea when or where you\'d show up!\"
\"Oh, but you knew that there was always a good probability I\'d come back here, didn\'t you? Isn\'t that why you\'ve been waiting in this spot all this time- because there was that chance I would be here?\"
\"I- I always hoped, but I was never certain- Oh, Wave!\" cried Particle, flinging his arms around his lover. \"I never know where you are! It\'s like the moment I look at you, you move to a different place!\" The force of Particle\'s impact threw them both rolling down the hill, narrowly making it between a small slit in the trees, which nonetheless interfered with their fall. They tumbled into a large field and spread out on the grass.
\"Please try to be more discrete,\" groaned Wave, pushing away Particle and dusting himself off. \"I swear, sometimes you act just like me.\"
Particle pulled himself together. \"I\'m sorry. Sometimes I get excited.\"
\"You know, I\'m pretty excited right now too,\" said Wave, undulating sensually towards Particle. He looked absolutely radiant. Particle caressed Wave\'s crests and gently nudged into his trough. Wave\'s moans increased in amplitude, exciting Particle further. This was probably the best position he had ever been in. He moved faster and faster, going in and out more and more frequently, until it felt like he and Wave were one and the same, like everything had lost its distinction, it was just them spread out over the ground, moving and pulsing together, lines blurred, and in the next moment he collapsed, spent.
Wave smiled at him, panting just slightly as Particle was still trying to catch his breath. \"Now to reverse roles...\"
\"Haah, let me rest first.\" panted Particle.
\"Allright,\" said Wave, moving around him to cuddle.
\"Mmm, Wave,\" sighed Particle. They nuzzled into each other for a while, just happy to be so close to each other.
\"You light up my life.\"
