Everything always ends in Tragedy.

He felt the alcohol go past his mouth down his esophagus and down to his stomach
his senses dulled
his perception surreal.
Time went by and still nothing happened
no phone calls
no nothing how he longed for something.
Time passed like it was nothing and still all he could hear was buzzing.
The quiet hum of something forgotten, is this what life is all about?
Days to be left alone doing nothing
wanting something more
wanting to get out
wanting to get on with his life.
He looked down the balcony the city lights were shining they were so bright
they were blurred
but he could see them contrast shadows upon the streets and the buildings...this concrete island.
He felt his skin crawling
he felt his senses heighten
he felt vertigo
everything was spinning.

He wanted to scream.

He felt the wind as it caressed his face.
The stars mocked him with their everlasting freedom.
Everything was all too familiar.
He felt the pressure of the truth.
He didn't know.
He walked back inside
nothing was there for him.
Again it seems for reality to hit so hard.
He undid his shirt and looked in the mirror
blue twilight shimmering.
He looked away and wanted it all to stop.
The whole world is dead.
It wasn't the old lady alone with her dog lonely and forgotten
it wasn't the man hitting his children and raping his girlfriend
it wasn't the girl doing coke and whoring herself out
it was always something more
it was the life
it was what life forced them to do.
It wasn't him pretending everything was okay
it wasn't him living in regret
it wasn't anything
it wasn't his heart in his hand
it was just full.
Full of poison.
It was that no one understood.
Could there ever be?
A life once lost, but so many that are strange and small.
Sitting on the couch, he wanted to vanish like a dream.
Only feeling one tear fall, it was midnight, he fell asleep.

The next morning, birds were singing happily in their everlasting descent off city buildings and trees the sun wasn't shining
but hidden behind a cloud of dark grey.
The overcast was inviting.
Horns blew and the city did not stop.
It was alive
he was alive.
Walking to the bathroom he felt sure and thought of something better.

\"Today might be the day\" he assured himself.

Walking out the door his heart sunk.
He did not know why,
leaving the viscidity he felt the coldness.
He saw the hard faces
he saw no glimmer of hope.
Today was the day.
He took the elevator all the way to the top floor.
He embraced the scenery.
He felt thankful.
He saw the wide open sky.
The clouds hung low, and it started to pour.
With blurred vision and with a blurred heart he went to the edge, people running for cover.
He looked up.
Stepped on the ledge with much care.
Closed his eyes and jumped.
Just as he was about to hit the concrete island he opened his eyes and said \"thank you\"...
