A note to an ex

Poet’s note:
Yeah it may not rhyme but this is my poem. My girlfriend broke up with me through an email. So I wrote this.I just hope she doesn’t come to this site too.I would really appreciate you rating and reviews. Thank you so much




With each breathe I take it brings me closer and closer to you

I don’t think I could have lasted this long without you

Every star in the night sings to me of love

But what can I do that will make you see me

I wish upon a thousand candles

But my only light is you

My heart is yours as well my soul

But all have is memories

Memories, of all laughter

But you never saw my tears

I will hold close in my heart

I knew this day would come , but I hoped not this soon

Can you give me one last night

To show that I am yours

Even thru the hardship I have always loved you

Have ever loved me truly

Or was a just a prank

To play the girl who hid in the shadows

Was I ever more a fling

Did I shame you that much or are just afraid

I know sometime so annoying, but all I wanted was love

I am so scared of what you’ll think if you ever see this note

But I’ll write it anyway

I told my cousin I had a girlfriend, and all she did was cry

I told mom because I really didn’t she thought anymore

My life was turned upside down by you

And now I am alone

Was there that you thought of me

Cause I know I know I thought of you

I hope one day you will see for what I really am

I am not angel, I am not a demon

I am someone who loved you

So tonight I go to sleep

And I dream only of you

In a time we were happy

In a time that I was strong

I hope you someday I will have the courage to show you this note

But until that day be happy

Be happy you are not alone
