We were merely Freshman
It\'s the first day of High School and it was freaking Katie out. She was going to a public school for the first time in four years. She was in private school near her house from fifth through eighth grade, so you can see why she was a little nervous. She also wouldn\'t know anyone there because she was just now moving there from another neighborhood, on the other side of town!!!
Katie\'s POV
We came to the drop-off point where I relunctantly got out of the car. The place was swarming with kids, more than I had ever seen in my life. The bell started to ring so I ran inside to the admissions office where they gave me my schedule. Today I would have Theology, English, Calculus, Biology, and Drill after school in the gym (and this was only my first semester schedule)!It took me awhile to find Thoelogy II, room 305. Apparently it was a sopomore class because everyone looked older. I took a seat behind a really prepy girl because she was talking on her cell phone and saying things like \" OMG or WHY WOULD HE DUMP YOU!!!!!!!\" I was in the middle of the room. Surrounded by strangers. I guess you could tell I was scared because a guy, rather cute but don\'t be too rash, said,\" Don\'t worry the people here aren\'t that scary\". \" OH\", I was shocked. Never had someone wanted to talk to me. \"Well you must have been from a private school.\", he said laughing. How did he know that!!! \"How did you know?\" I said with a little mystery in my voice. \" You\'re so unfriendly, I\'m Eric Johnson you must be Katie.\" \" Yes, I am, and I\'m sorry I didn\'t mean to be rude. Nice to meet you Eric I\'m Katie Hornsby.\"
