The Falling
Note: This poem really needs an explanation. This is one of my favorite poems I wrote, but it really has nothing to do with my own emotions, I was writing this for a character of mine, whom I really enjoyed writing.
______________________________
The beauty of the body falling . . .
Destiny of tenebrous calling . . .
Shimmering in the vibrant sun . . .
The morbid journey just begun . . .
Cast beyond the depths below . . .
What does the fall bestow?
What is beyond the finite fall?
Cascading down the rock face wall . . .
The faintest beating of the heart,
As bear nervous feat depart . . .
The silence of the screaming mind . . .
The symphony of the fall combined.
What will I feel when I hit the rocks?
Will I hear death’s finally knocks?
The sudden sharp, agonizing pain . . .
The ardent burst, from the mundane . . .
Past the brink of everlasting death
The ending of that final breath
What will I see thereafter?
Death mocks me with his laughter.
