Human Nature
A.N.: Just a poem, nothing more nothing less.
HUMAN NATURE
In the darkness of my mind
As the world babbles on,
I sit thinking
As my body tries to pay attention
I look back on my life
And events that have taken place
Around the world.
Some that I never saw personally
Others...I sat as it happened
This world is such a sad place
Bombs flying, planes crashing, people screaming, children dying
Why is it in the human nature to kill other living things?
Do they deserve to die?
Becuase we feel they are inferior?
Or they worship a different God?
I look out through the windows of my eyes and look at the people around me.
Who here...thinks they are superior?
Who thinks I should die?
I blink back tears of sadness for the human race.
We were better off as apes
I dry my eyes as I try to focus
Someone is talking to me.
But I can\'t really concentrate,
Do they want to kill me?
Am I their competition?
SCREW IT!
I don\'t care anymore
I am above human nature
No one, no thing deserves to die
No matter what they believe
Who they are.
Live and let live
Cease the day
Now excuse me...
While I go play.
