Ayanna's Tale
Story:
This story takes place not too far in the future, maybe five centuries from now. Severe pollution of the Earth has driven regular people down into the Earth. At the same time, a new species of human appeared, the Homo Validus. This species (which is actually more like a breed, or a mutation), the Homo Validus, can survive on the surface of the planet, but not all of them choose to live there. Basically, they are like superheroes…they all have different powers, which are based on their personalities. When they are very young children, or when it is discovered that they are Homo Validus, they are sent to a government (There is only one government, by the way, the “Federation of Nations”) institution, the GWPI (General Welfare Protection Institution). The GWPI screens all new Homo Validus, and secretly will murder any new child with powers that they believe are too strong. This is something they only recently started, after Validus such as Acerius started to become a threat to the government system. The GWPI will re-name, raise, train, and school all of the new Validus. It also employs about 75% of the adult Validus.
Cast of Characters (so far):
Acerius – Can fly, is very fast, magnified senses, extremely strong. He is the hero of the regular people, and is the strongest of the Homo Validus. This guy is used to being praised and getting his own way, and is arrogant and self-centered. He grew up at the GWPI, as his powers were obvious at birth, and no regular human could have raised him. He fell in “love” with Ayanna when he was about 19. The only problem is that he has a rather strange idea of love. He is three years older than Ayanna.
Ayanna – Her only physical power is that she can fly. Mainly, she can send waves and feelings out to people. However, she cannot sense the feelings of others. Unless she chooses to hide her feelings, everyone around her knows them. For this reason, she is rather quiet, and only learned to speak at the age of 9. She can also send these waves to animals, and thus can communicate with them. Her powers were not apparent at birth. Her waves were not very strong, but were affective in communicating with her caregivers. Her parents died when she was 5, and she was sent to an orphanage-workhouse type of place. She escaped and lived on the street for about 2 years. At 8, she finally learned to fly. The Validus found her and sent her to live at the GWPI, where she learned to talk, use her waves, and eventually left when she was 21.

Her face numb from the cold wind, her mind and body aching, Ayanna searches the night for a place to rest and hide. Her eyes are drawn to a crooked old steeple in what was once the center of a small town. She circles overhead, lower and lower, and finally ducks in. Surprisingly, the inside of the old building is a few degrees warmer than the outside. She lands silently in an aisle between what were once wooden benches of some sort. Most of them had rotted away, however, so she decided to rest instead on a marble table that stands in the front of the building. The moonlight reflects off of the marble in a calming, welcoming way, and she happily, but silently, climbs on. This, too, is strangely warm. She groggily wonders if it is natural for stone to be so warm. But, too tired to think, too tired to worry about what will happen when he finds her, she drifts off to sleep.
“Acerius! Come in, Acerius!” the urgent voice called. Acerius groaned, “What do you want? I’m in the bath!”
“Sorry to disturb you, sir, but the governor of the city of Luum as requested your assistance. A couple of Markku have hijacked a hydrorail train full of citizens and are planning on driving it into a government building. You are the only Validus available that can handle this mission!”
“All right, I’ll be there in five minutes,” sighed Acerius, as he pressed a button on the communicator. It was times like these he hated his powers. A normal guy would work a fixed schedule, but he was always on call, no matter what he was doing. It sometimes made him angry, as though he were a servant to the humans. If anything, they should be serving him. He was a God in comparison to them! Nevertheless, he climbed out of his luxurious in-ground bathtub and called to his attendants. Two scantily-clad human females came out, one bearing a towel, the other, his dark blue work outfit. The first woman dried him off, and then the second dressed him.
All the while, his thoughts were on another woman…Ayanna. She feared him; he could feel the fear coming off of her when she was alone with him, so she must respect him. But all the same, she continued to reject his advances and proposals. He’d never met such a stubborn and disagreeable woman! She drove him mad when she was around him, and he was even crazier when she was not around! Ah, well, he thought, I’ll have her! It is just a matter of time, but I’ll have her! She will submit to me, she will consent to being my bride! His clenched fists trembled with rage and passion. I’ll go and find her again after this job. Nobody says no to Acerius for long!
His attendant finished dressing him and said, “Be careful on your mission, master,”
“Thank you, Triela, but I have bigger worries than the Markku right now,” and with that, he flew off.
“Well, that was easier than I’d expected,” mumbled Acerius after taking care of the Markku and flying off.
“Perhaps it would be more fun if just one of those guys had powers that came close to mine,” he sighed, “But I should not wish such a thing on myself and the world.” Ah, well, I suppose it’s about time I visit my beloved Ayanna, he decided. He flexed and stretched his body in mid-air lazily, losing no speed at all, and traveled through one of the massive doorways that separate the outer and inner worlds.
The humans mainly lived in the inner world, in underground cities and massive tunnels that were created precisely for that purpose. As for the humans that had insisted on living in the outer world, their bodies were slowly poisoned by the polluted air and water, or they were killed by the mutated wolves and other beasts that had taken over. Because of this, the outer world consisted mostly of ruins and abandoned places. The Validus could survive in the outer world, and often they did. Most of them preferred it to the inner world, which was over-crowded and full of humans, many of which were prejudiced against them. So they created their own cities above ground where they could live and play, and then commute back to the inner world to do business or to work.
He flew low over the abandoned cities of the outer world. He traveled faster, while concentrating on her smell, the sound of her breathing. He knew both very well. He found her often this way, by circling the Earth and just smelling and listening, his powers amazed even him sometimes. But today he felt her before he smelled or heard her. She normally hides her feelings, he mused, so she must be dreaming. And what a dream she was having! This just might be my big chance, he thought, grinning. He continued on until he could smell her, and his grin became even broader. He followed his senses and quickly came to the ruins of an old church. He touched down to the ground with a light ‘thud’, and made his way to the large oak doors at the front of the place.
“Shit!” he thought, “Locked! How am I supposed to get this thing off quietly?” He settled on carefully pulling the door off its hinges. Luckily for him, the rotten wood did not put up much of a fight, and he was able to quietly pull it from the hinges and make his way in.
He gasped when he saw her lying there, like an angel, he thought. No, she was on the alter, like a sacrifice. Yes, that’s what it was. This is my church and she is my sacrifice. The thought made him smirk and move a little closer. He could really smell her now, all of the smells that made up the woman he was so obsessed with: the light vanilla scent in her hair, the fresh and clean scent of her skin, her breath, and the overpowering scent that intrigued him the most. He basked in the sweet, yet tangy scent that belonged to her alone, a scent that he knew only he had ever smelled.
Why didn’t she realize how much he loved her? How much he thought about her? He knew every little thing about her and could not get enough of it! He’d fallen in love with her five years ago, when they were both still students at the GWPI. The girl’s dormitory was right above the boy’s, and his room just happened to be right below hers. He did not think much of her until she turned 16 and started to grow into a real woman. Acerius had not really noticed her much before then; she was a quiet girl and did not have many good friends, almost the polar opposite of him. He found himself listening as she sung to herself in her room, or talked to the little pets she liked to keep, the picture of youth and innocence. She was also the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen, and he’d made sure that none of the boys at GWPI even talked to her, so he knew for a fact that she was still a virgin. Virgin that she was, she still was not totally innocent. He’d listened to her enough nights to know that her sex drive was almost as strong as his was, if not more. And he did have quite a sex drive, especially with her around! Her abilities to send waves would make sex with her quite the experience, he knew, as long as she was enjoying herself. If not, the magnified feelings of revulsion she would send at him would easily suceed in turning him off.
She was beautiful, intelligent, strong, sexy, talented, she was everything that he thought the strongest of the Validus deserved, everything he deserved! So why did she still reject him? He’d heard her call him arrogant and conceited, but what on Earth did she expect? He was the most powerful man in the world. Hell, he could take over the whole damn thing in a day if he felt like it!
She moaned softly, and sent out a new series of waves and scents. He could tell she was having a rather erotic dream, and he vainly wondered if she was dreaming of him.
He reached out, gently took a lock of her long dark hair up to his nose and inhaled the intoxicating scent. No other woman had ever had this affect on him, and God knows he’d had more than his share of women. She moaned again, this time rolling over in her sleep, so that she was facing Acerius. He let her hair slip through his fingers, and eagerly took in her beauty with his amplified vision. She was wearing a white, robe like garment, only it had legs at the bottom, which made it more practical for flying. She wore light sandals on her small feet, and they looked as though they were made of rope. Her breasts were not very large, but they were firm and hard under the thin white garment. She was a plump girl, and Acerius reveled in the roundness of her hips and ass, especially when compared to her relatively small waist. Her whole being put him in mind of an ancient Greek statue of Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
She moaned again, louder this time, and more waves washed over him as she slightly arched her back. This was the sexiest thing about her; her waves caused him to feel everything that she feels, while she is feeling it. Not being able to hold back any longer, he slips a hand into the folds of her robes, searching for the little bud that is her nipple. While gently squeezing and massaging, he places his mouth over hers and seeks entrance with his tongue.
She responds immediately, opening her mouth and purring, almost like a cat. He can feel her mounting pleasure reflected in the waves she sends him grow, and then flicker on and off as she finally opens her eyes and the pleasure is replaced by revulsion and intense anger.
“How dare you! Damn it, Acerius, we’re in a church!” Ayanna heard herself scream.
“Well, we can go outside if you’d like, princess,” smirked Acerius.
“I’m not your princess, and I don’t want to be! Oh, why can’t you and everyone else just leave me alone?” She sobbed, slumping to the ground. He felt her anger melt away to desperation, embarrassment, before she finally started to block her emotions.
“everyone else? Who are you talking about, yanna? Who has been upsetting you? Just give me a name and I’ll…”
“You’ve been upsetting me! So, please, will you just go and leave me alone? I don’t want to marry you, or anyone else for that matter,” She said calmly.
“Fine,” Acerius said, turning around, his temper flaring, “I guess I’m just not good enough for you, huh? Do you know how many women would kill for the chance to even sleep with me? Well, I’ll do as you ask, I’ll leave for now, but I’ll never truly leave you alone,” With that, he is gone.
Ayanna lay on the floor, sobbing even harder, not bothering to block her strong feelings of sadness mixed with regret.
Sorry to leave the story like that! Thank you for reading this far. This is actually the first story I ever wrote, and it\'s based on a dream I had just this morning. I come to AFF alot *blushes*, but this is the first time I\'ve ever had the urge to actually write for it. My e-mail addy is captiveunicorn@hotmail.com , Please let me know what you think and if you\'d like another chapter! Do you think Acerius is a jerk, or just misunderstood? Should he end up with Ayanna or should I have her fall in love with a new character? I\'d like to do a hot and heavy sex scene, but I think that the first chapter is not the place for it ;) Also, if I\'ve made any mistakes or grammatical errors, please tell me. Thanks again,
