Our Terabithia:

This is a letter to a blank page
To my quiet room
And the endless echo of the empty stereo
This is a serenade of other sorts
To vacant streets and warm days
When I could sit on the roof to watch the highway
Going by, night and day
And I’d bleed for solitude
Wish to escape here forever
Here where I am untouchable
Invincible
Up here where,
No one needs to know the other side of my story
Just because I’m making up a reason to breathe
Simply put
I\'d be satisfied just to hear you speak
And hold onto to the memory
Of the last time we were here
Side by side
Listening to passing cars
Flat on our backs staring up at the stars
Back when we were untouchable
Invincible
Until the day we realized
Time is a fleeting thing
The past melted into the sunrise
Bleeding fire down the horizon
And I’m left alone to burn in the fading stars
With only a memory
Of the last time we were here
Side by side
